s the devil important in our lives?

Is the devil important in our lives? Read in the conscience of the believer and the conscience of the serpent

Is the devil important in our lives? Read in the conscience of the believer and the conscience of the serpent

How do we think of the devil, is it that ugly, creative object that appears in the visual paintings and cinematography, has a blood-dripping red tail and eyes, has two horns that always cause his tricks to be exposed, and holds in his hand a triple "fork" in which our lives dip?

Is the devil what the novels and children's stories speak of as having the cunning smile and the evil laugh, or is it a "notion" that has no shape on us, and we follow it by gratification, because he knows the areas of vulnerability in us and he adorns it for us and we weak souls follow the dictates of our wishes, which usually end in disaster?

What's important is that we don't want, today, to talk about the image of the devil, but we want to talk about the importance that this demon is to both believers and others.

The devil at the wrongdoer.

At the outset, it must be said that many who make mistakes and misdeeds, especially in our Arab world, believe in the existence of Satan and believe in his human beings and hatred, agreeing with the believers.

The devil is of great importance to the person who makes mistakes, because he sees him as his partner in these actions, so some use a camel such as a "demon hour" and as if the devil has a share of time, and as long as the devil is "outsiders" of man and shares wrongdoing, this represents a kind of self-defence, which is marketed by man, so it can be said that the existence of the devil is a kind of mental health of the offenders.

The devil at the faithful

The devil is no less important to the faithful, even if the angle is different, the parties as mentioned earlier agree on the existence of the devil, but the faithful moves out of resistance. The faithful sees a devil lurking behind every stone in his path and behind every unclear act. In order to be careful, the faithful seeks to expose the weakness of the devil, while recognizing his strength and barrages, the faithful measures his commitment to his ability to violate the devil, whenever he feels the strength of his faith, which means to maintain his mental health.

Islam is not responsible!

Islam is not responsible!

Islam is a great religion, a religion of love, peace, forgiveness and great tolerance. Islam is a gift of God, it is a great Mercy that God has willed for all humanity. The Lord in the holy Quran said to Muhammad, our Prophet (Sala Alayhi wa sallam): "We have sent you only mercy for both worlds". If Allah (swt) sent Mohammed(Sala Alayhi wa salam)  as Mercy, Love, Forgiveness, Indulgence , Tolerance and above all bearer of Peace and friendship between peoples . Not only for men, but for all the creatures of God, so that he may spread the great message of Islam, the one and only religion which the Lord willed for all mankind. So Islam is not what you think, Islam is not a religion of crime, violence, brutality or any kind of aggression.

Our Islam is innocent of all these false accusations, and it is even less responsible for all the miseries of the world and all the acts of violence that are often attributed, rightly or wrongly, to Muslims. The grey sheep do not exist only in Islam, but in all religions of the world.

No one can do anything, it is the law of nature. Good and evil will remain opposite until the end of time, so a different interpretation would be contrary to logic and common sense, not to say a feeling of aversion, hatred and hostility towards Islam, and anything, it would be a blow to the wind... !

These murderous madwomen occur all over the world. Every day, there are Muslims who die murdered in the world and in the name of I do not know what principles, but Islam has not accused this or that religion in a clear and objective way! Be assured that Islam forbids murder for any cause, how can you say “we kill in the name of God!” It’s really absurd and crazy!

Let us stop throwing stones and unjustly accusing Islam every time a family is struck by a stone. Instead of unjustly incriminating Islam, it would be better to seek the truth around ourselves and study the Book (Quran) that God has sent down for the happiness and well-being of all mankind as w On behalf of all Muslims, I express my condolences and my sincere respects to the families of those who have disappeared following the murderous and ignoble attack in Brussels (Belgium) and let the Justice of God follow its course against all those who overstep and violate the red limits that Allah has laid down for us in the Koran, whether they are Muslims or others.ell as the Sunnah (life) of our Prophet Muhammad (Sala Allah alayhi wa sallam).

According to a noble hadith of the prophet Muhammad (Sala Allah alayhi wa sallam) and according to Ubada Ibn Essamat (that Allah approves), it is said: He who says,. I testify that there is no other God but Allah, that only Muhammad is his servant and messenger, that Jesus is the servant of Allah and the son of his handmaid, that His word which He placed in Mary and a spirit of Him, heaven is true and hell is true. Allah will bring him to heaven through any of the ten gates it contains. And in another version: "He will make him enter heaven with the sins that he has committed."

May Allah have mercy on us

The virtue of calling on God !

Publié le 22/01/2025 à 15:20 par pourlavieeternelle Tags : islam foi allah place you
The virtue of calling on God !

The call to God is one of the best deeds and the noblest worship, and it has been praised in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, among which:

  1. The call to God is the way of success and victory in this world and in the hereafter, as Allah says: {And may there be among you a community that calls for good, which commands the proper and forbids the reprehensible. And these are the winners} (Al-Imran: 104).

  1. The word of the preacher is the best and most beloved of God, as Allah said when praising the word of the preacher: {And who says a better word than he who calls to Allah, does good works and says: "I am of the number of the Muslims." } (Fussilat: 33) There is no better word than his, for he guides people and directs them to the adoration of their Lord, Creator and Master of the Worlds and the exit from the darkness of association with the light of faith.
  2. The call to faith is an obedience to the command of God, as He said: {Call upon the way of your Lord with wisdom and good exhortation and discuss with them in the best manner} (An-Nahl: 125). It is therefore imperative for the preacher to call upon Islam wisely, to put things in their place, knowing the called, what suits them and what they need in terms of beautiful and influential exhortations, and to dialogue with them from the best, the sweetest and closest way to guide them.
  3.
  4.
  5. This is the function of all messengers, and at their head our messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. God sent him as a witness to the people, a herald of heaven and reward for believers, and a warning of fire and punishment for unfaithful and sinners, calling to God and spreading light throughout all mankind, peace and blessings upon him, as Allah said: {O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, herald and warning, and as a calling to Allah, with His permission, and as a shining lamp, and announce to the believers that they will have a great favor from Allah} (Al-Ahzab: 45-47).

  1. The invitation is a door of good that never closes. He who answers your call and finds guidance by your hand, you will have the same reward as him for his prayer, worship and teaching to people. What a great blessing from God for the preacher! Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: "He who calls to the right path shall have the same reward as those who follow him, without this diminishing in any way their rewards" (Muslim 2674).
  2.
  3.
  4. The reward of God’s preacher is better than all the goods of the world. The reward of the preacher is with God, and he does not take it from people. C'est pourquoi elle est immense, car le généreux ne donne à ceux qu'il aime que ce qui est immense, comme Allah a dit : {فَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِين} (Younous : 72). And the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "If Allah guides a man through you, it is better for you than having red camels" (Bukhari 2847, Muslim 2406).

The Great Forgiveness!

Publié le 21/01/2025 à 17:23 par pourlavieeternelle Tags : islam foi Allah
The Great Forgiveness!

If we want God to forgive us, we as humans, who sin disproportionately night and day, we need to know how to seize this opportunity and a great favour that the Lord has reserved for us and yet grants us in spite of everything, so that we may be able to love one another continuously. The Lord tells us, « He who does not forgive, will not be forgiven. In addition, in a verse of the Quran, God teaches us «May they forgive and absolve. Don't you love that God forgives you! Moreover, God is Oft Forgiving and Merciful! ( Quran 24/22) Therefore, forgiveness is the basis of everything in this life. We cannot love without forgiveness, and we cannot live without love.

The world has aged, the end is near! The lights are red, blinking, don't you think? Do you not think that it is already time for us to come to grips with ourselves, to be lucid, to reflect, to come back to reason, to take the right path, the only way that must save us, the way of Allah (Exalted be He), the way of the godly, the way of the chosen ones of Allah, that of the eternal Paradise?

In one of the verses of the holy Qur' an, Allah (Exalted be He) tells us, «Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve,62/Those who believed and were fearing Allah,63/For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words of Allah. That is what is the great attainment.64 (Surat Yunus/Jonah 62:64).

In the face of this great tragedy, which pitted Algeria against France for years and which, among other Arab and Muslim countries in particular, caused tides of blood to flow and caused hundreds of thousands of deaths on both sides, and for which the responsibility for this massive loss of human life lies today directly with our generation and the generation before us, and not with our children, who are totally innocent in the presence of our lord and the people.

It is only when we assume this painful past, and acknowledge all our mistakes and our great murderous madness, that it is perhaps only after, when our generation will probably disappear so that the norm will probably be trivialized between our two countries, and that this Mediterranean sea which has made us dream so much, makes us realize today that we are decidedly made for each other, that we are made to live together, and that we are made to live together, and that we have been living together for a long time.

However, the great and true friendship between people's demands from all of us that we abandon this slang, this hypocrisy and that we finally tell each other everything we have in our hearts.

Once this moral and effective peace has been restored forever, we will be able to withdraw from the scene with serenity and stillness in our hearts, and hand over the torch to our descendants, so that they can put things back in order and inherit at the same time the new Mediterranean, a Mediterranean that their ancestors so dearly desired to have.

However, this time, with the faith of our Lord in the heart and spirit, our children will come if God wills to their destination, and with the help of God in this Mediterranean, they will make a Paradise on this earth.

Historically and throughout the history of humankind, wars between peoples have never solved conflicts; on the contrary, they have only led to disaster, tragedy, and misfortune.

This historic project, which we have so longed for and yet the madness of humanity has completely destroyed and reduced to nothing, could be realized. In my humble opinion, it is no longer necessary today to look back and remember the past. This painful past that will only stir the knife in the wounds not yet healed, on the contrary today it is time to definitively turn this dark page and look forward from now on only. Our Lord of infinite mercy always recommends forgiveness and reconciliation. The forgiveness that liberates us and brings our hearts together erases all our sins and brings us closer to divine mercy.

Today it is inevitable that the only salvation for these peoples, some of whom are unfortunately still in bloody conflict, is peace, dialogue and reconciliation.

For once, let us forget the temptations of this morbid and yet so ephemeral world for which we kill each other and tear each other ruthlessly. Let us forget this transitory world and think instead of the other, the ultimate to the eternal. Tell me sincerely where are today the great troublemakers, those great actors of death, those brave warriors of the "darkness" who once powered the engines of great conflicts, who decided the fate of others, the fate of the weak and the unhappy, those who were both judges and the law, those foolish people who blew on fire and stirred up the embers, where are they now?.. !? God only knows!

A hadith reported by anas ("May Allah be pleased") teaches us that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and salvation on Him) said: «This community is a community to which God's Mercy has already been granted. Therefore, the torment that should suffer on Judgment Day will in fact be alleviated. On that day, an associate will be offered free of charge to the Fire, in the place of each Muslim, and then it will be declared: «This one is sacrificed for you, O Muslim! So you wouldn't be among the occupiers of the Fire." (An authentic el-Jameh hadith: 2257.).

We have no right to let our children relive the past we have lived through. This past now belongs to history, and history is made to be studied in schools. History belongs to the past, to our past, and the future belongs to children, to our children. Let us not deprive them of this great opportunity, who knows? Perhaps one day, they will make us forget our pains of yesteryear and allow us to leave... peace in our souls!

Today, the duty that calls us all is, in my opinion, even more serious than all the conflicts in the world put together. This duty is spiritual, a duty that comes out of this unhealthy world, this materialistic world, an ungrateful, selfish world in which everyone thinks only of himself, a world in which we only think of enjoying the material pleasures of this life.

Our Prophet (peace and salvation on Him) could possess all the jewels of this world, yet he preferred to sleep on a simple mat on the ground. Why? Why? Because our Prophet knew the true value of this life, which is in fact only a trial for us and a field of ploughing, whose fruits will be harvested in the ultimate life. Many people attach themselves to the ephemeral goods of this morbid world and forget the fundamental priorities that God has revealed to us. How can we worship and satisfy our Lord if our hearts are shared and let themselves be taken by the ephemeral desires of this world!

The true believer, the righteous, the one who genuinely fears God must not pass up any opportunity to invoke and worship God, to beg him and ask forgiveness every day. Let us not forget that the Lord at the Last Judgement will judge us on all our sins, however small they may be, no matter how small, as small as the size of an atom...! So let us always try to ask his forgiveness and beg his immense Mercy, which is so close to each one of us, as close as we think.

May God forgive us all and fill us with His great Mercy, Amine.

importance of invocation !

Publié le 19/01/2025 à 17:22 par pourlavieeternelle Tags : islam foi Allah
 importance of invocation !

A lot of Muslims do not know the importance and merits of invocation although Allah The Almighty ordered us in the Noble Quran to invoke and pray to Him, Allah says in the Noble Quran(translation of meaning in English):"And your Lord said:" Invoke Me, and ask me for anything, I will respond to your invocation.

Verily! Those who scorn my worship(i.e. do not invoke Me) they will surely enter Hell in humiliation" (Ghafir:60). We notice in this noble verse that Allah The Almighty orders us to invoke Him and that He described invocation as worship to show us the importance of invocation because when we invoke and pray to Allah, we implicitly acknowledge lordship and oneness of Allah The Almighty and that only Allah can help us and relieve our pains and sufferings. Allah The Almighty also warns those who do not invoke Him and scorn His worship that they will enter the hellfire in the hereafter because they forgot Him and did not acknowledge His oneness and monotheism through invocationThe prophet(peace and blessings be upon him) also urged us to invoke and pray to Allah as it is narrated that he(peace and blessings be upon him)said(translation of meaning in English)" invocation is the worship". Someone may ask: if invocation is regarded by Allah The Almighty and the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)as the worship, what about prayers, fasting,

Zakat , pilgrimage and the other good deeds in Islam?

The answer to this question is that invocation is distinguished from all the other good deeds with full submissiveness because we can perform prayers , fasting, pilgrimage and the other good deeds without submissiveness but when we invoke and pray to Allah, we are always in full submissiveness, and this why invocation is regarded as the essence of worship in Islam .

One day, a man came to the prophet(peace and blessings be upon him) and asked:" O Messenger of Allah! Is Allah so far that we should call aloud on Him, or so near that it is enough to whisper to Him? The prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not answer and waited for the answer to be revealed to him by Allah The Almighty, so Allah revealed the following verse(translation of meaning in English):"And when My slaves ask you(O Muhammad)concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near(to them by my knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he/she calls on Me..". (Al –Baqarah:186).

There are some wonderful facts we can find in the interpretation of the above noble verse: the first fact  is that Allah The Almighty is so near to us and hears our supplications whenever and wherever we are. The second fact is that Allah The Almighty says (translation of meaning in English):" I respond to the supplicant when he/she calls on Me", notice that Allah The Almighty said:" when the supplicant calls" and He did not say:" when I (i.e. Allah The Almighty) want", this means that we are just required to invoke Allah and He will respond to our invocation sooner or later. This noble verse also reveals another  important fact that there is no intercessor or mediator between us and Allah as Allah The Almighty says :" I(i.e. Allah) respond when he/she(the supplicant)calls on Me", and he did not say:" when the mediator or intercessor calls on Me"
Therefore, we, as Muslims, are ordered by Allah The Almighty and the prophet(peace and blessings be upon him) to invoke and pray to Allah in both joy and sorrow. We should invoke Allah The Almighty in joy to thank Him for the countless blessings He bestowed us with, and we should invoke Him in sorrow to help us and relieve our pains and sufferings.

A lot of us resort to Allah and invoke Him only when they are in trouble, but they give up invocation when their troubles are over. We also should always remember that invocation is the worship and that those who do not invoke and supplicate, they actually scorn the worship of Allah and they will enter the hellfire in the hereafter
In the next article, God willing, we will hammer out to the etiquettes and optimum times of invocation, so, until that time, I ask Allah The Almighty to bless you all and respond to your good invocation.

Why were we created?

Publié le 19/01/2025 à 15:17 par pourlavieeternelle Tags : allah foi islam course place nature you
Why were we created?

All praise is due to Allah. May His prayers and blessings be upon his Last Messenger and on all those who follow the path of righteousness until the Last Day.

Not just Muslims, but every single human being has to answer the most fundamental question at some point in his or her lifetime:

“Why was I created? Why am I here? What am I doing in this world? Why did God create me?”

These questions are questions which each and everyone of us reflects on at some point during their life. We have some answers, which are given generally but usually these answers don’t satisfy us – seeming somewhat simplistic. So, we still wonder: “Why me? Why here?” I know all of you (Muslims), are saying, “To worship Allah, khallas (finish). What more is there to say? Why do we need to have a big long talk on why we were created when we all know it is to worship Allah?!”

But wait. If this is presented to a non-Muslim, the next logical question would be, “Why does Allah want us to worship Him?” Then your stuck, which can only mean that in our own minds it is not really clear. Why did Allah create us to worship Him?

Addressing the question, “Why did Allah create us?”, we have to understand how to deal with those people we live with (in the West). Those who don’t consider there to be any purpose in man’s creation, firmly believing that they are just a product of evolution and that the forces of nature. Just as we don’t have apes, dogs or cows thinking about why they are here, then we also don’t have to think about it either. Following from this belief being the basis of the philosophy of Western society (that man is without purpose), the whole issue of government, morality, etc. has no basis for them in Revelation. The product of this attitude is, of course, the corruption that we are living in.

When a Muslim addresses this topic, we have to find our understanding from Divine Revelation and not human speculation. Because human speculation has no bounds; we can imagine all kinds of things and if any of you has studied philosophy of religion, you will know how many opinions there are about the creation of man and existence. Because of the variety of philosophies which are out there, no one can say this one is correct or that one is incorrect, because there is no guidance behind it. No Divine Revelation. It is only from Divine Revelation that we can determine the reality of our creation, because it is Allah who has created us and so He knows the purpose of our creation. We can hardly understand it ourselves, much less trying to understand the essence of things. So it is for Allah to inform us through the revelation in the Qur’an and the sunnah (the Prophetic traditions) which were brought to us by His Last Messenger and the Messengers before him.

Now if we are to look initially into revelation, to determine why was man created, there is a deeper question that we should be asking before that: “Why did God create?” This before we even get to man because man is not the greatest act of creation. Allah says:

“The creation of the Heavens and the Earth is indeed greater then the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not.”

[Al-Qur’an 40:57]

Man is not the greatest act of creation, this universe is far more complex and far more magnificent than man. So the issue of creation should then go to, “Why did God create?”, as opposed to simply, “Why create man?”

Fundamentally, we can say that the creation is the natural consequence of the attribute of creator. Allah is the creator. That is one of his attributes. That is what he has informed us. That being his attribute, the creator, the natural consequence or the product of this attribute is his creation.

A painter, if we are to draw a similitude on a lower level, who tells you that he is a painter, if you ask him where are his paintings and he replies I don’t have any. What kind of painter is this? The concept of a painter who doesn’t paint, there is some thing not quite gelling together here, of course Allah is beyond this. But if we are to understand on the simplest level, the two go together. The perfection of a painter lies in his paintings. His quality and his ability to paint, is manifest in his paintings. And Allah, beyond all that, as creator, this quality of creation is manifest in the creation itself. Allah didn’t create out of a need. No, the fact that he is the creator, is manifest in the creation.

Furthermore, consider the act of creation, this act, with regards to Allah is unique. Though we use the term i.e. So and so created a table etc, actually it is in a limited sense. Human beings don’t really create, they manipulate, because they can only “create” what already exists. When we make a chair or a table, we didn’t create the wood, we had to take it from a tree, we didn’t create the metal, which makes the screws etc, we had to melt down rocks and take the metal out. So we are not creating from nothing. We are manipulating things which Allah has already created in to different shapes and forms which are useful to us. We call it “creation” but the real act of creation, is creation from nothing, and this is unique to Allah alone.

This is a concept, which many people in ignorance, because they couldn’t grasp the idea of creation from nothingness, it lead them to conclude that the world is Allah. Those who say “inside of each and every atom is Allah.” And you have people, who call themselves Muslims saying this. Non-Muslims have said this before and there are Muslims who claim this. That Allah is inside each and everything, because Allah is the reality and everything else is fake in their interpretation. That means then, that the creation is Allah, and Allah is the creation. Very, very dangerous concept, which leads some of those who make this claim to say that you don’t have to worship outside of yourself. Ibn Arabi, was famous for this statement, he is considered to be one of the saints, amongst the so called Sufi religion. Ibn Arabi said, “There is no need to worship one outside yourself, you are Allah. It is sufficient to worship yourself.” This is shirk.

This concept of Allah being within his creation, no distinction the creation and Allah, it leads them to this shirk. Because they are unable to accept the uniqueness of Allah’s creation, they compare the act of creation by Allah to human creation. That is, just as we manipulate, Allah took pieces of himself and made the earth and the universe. Others will say that all human beings have inside of themselves Allah, that there is a part of Allah inside each and everyone of us. The whole essence, the purpose of life is for us to realize that we have part of Allah inside of ourselves, remove the material blocks which keep us from Allah and again become one with Allah in what they call “fana“. This is again a teaching of the Sufi religion.

Becoming one with Allah, returning back to Allah in this sense. But this is in fact part of the teachings of shirk. Shaytan (Satan) has deluded man into this imagination. It is part of the belief of the Hindus. Nirvana, the concept that when you die, you are reborn again, and you move up in stages, each time, if you are a good boy or good girl, you go up higher and higher, until you get to the top. You know you have reached the peak, because when you die the next time you become one with the universal soul, Nirvana. That is the end of rebirth. So your whole purpose is to return and become one with God again. This is all, as I said, a product of the inability to understand the concept of creation from nothingness, which is unique to Allah. Allah says:

“There is nothing like him, and he is the hearer and seer of all.”

So when we try to interpret Allah’s creation like the way we create, then we have made Him like his creation and it leads us ultimately to those aspects of shirk which I have mentioned. This is quite common amongst the Muslim world today, because when you look into the various branches of the Sufi religion, where they have prescribed various acts of purification, they call it dhikr, exercises to torture the body through spinning and dancing. What is the purpose of this? They will tell you, to liberate the soul from this earthly body and to achieve that state of “fana” or “i’tihad“, a variety of names they have for it.

It is this concept, which lead al-Hallaj, many centuries ago, when he was promoting this idea, and he was put before a panel of judges questioning these concepts, which he was expressing. When they asked him to recant, to take this stuff back, he stood up, opened up his cloak and said “There is nothing inside this cloak except Allah”. So they executed him. And of course, those in the Sufi religion, they have stories that when they cut his head off, it rolled around saying “Allah, Allah, Allahu Akbar etc”. It might have, that is Shaytan may have entered and said these things, as happened with the calf of the Isrealites, when the Prophet Musa (Moses) let Egypt and the people, after crossing the red sea, had a desire to have a god that they could see, so they made a golden calf which they began to worship. This calf was saying “moo” like the calves do. This is what convinced them that this was the real thing. We know it wasn’t the calf saying this. The eviljinn can enter the in to physical entities, make sounds and give these impressions. So there is no problem for us to say ok, maybe when they cut of al-Hallaj’s head that it said these things, because this was part of a test. If we are clear in terms of creator and creation, this is no problem for us.

Allah is the creator and everything besides Him is His creation, which He created from nothing. It is not Him, nor is He it. This is the pure concept as taught by the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, his companions, and the early generations of righteous scholars, the students of the companions and those who came after them. The best of generations. That is how they understood this matter. There was no confusion in their minds. It wasn’t until Islam spread to areas like Egypt, India and Persia, areas where the Christians had already gotten into deep philosophies, trying to explain how Jesus was a man and god at the same time. When they came in to Islam they brought it with them. This is the reality. It is not something we should necessarily condemn them for or feel is unusual. It is natural, when a person reverts to Islam, that they will carry with them what they believed before. What has been clarified for them, of the basic principles, they accept, and they reject things, which obviously contradict. But it doesn’t mean that every last thought that they have, and everything that was wrong in their philosophies, ideology and concepts will be erased. They will carry these things in with them. This is why in the later part of the Prophet’s sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam life, prior to his death, when he was coming back from one of the battles, his companions asked him to set aside a tree for them, that they could hang their weapons on, like the way the pagans would hang their weapons on trees, believing that when they hung the weapons, it became super-powerful, as if some power was coming from the tree, that their shields would now block steel and their swords would cut through the enemy. Some of the companions who had newly accepted Islam, asked the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to designate one for them, a special one, an Islamic one. They understood that what the pagans had, this was wrong. These were the companions of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and he had to clarify it for them. He said:

“You are like the companions of Musa who asked to have the calf built.”

And he clarified for them that all of this is shirk and there is no place for it in Islam. So if it could happen to some of the companions, then we cannot blame the generations who have come after them, who come into Islam and carry with them some of their old ideas. What it is for us to do is to clarify.

So what we have in front of us then, is that Allah created this universe out of nothing, and everything that is in it was created. For example:

“Allah created all things, and he is the agent, upon which, all things depend.”

[Al-Qur’an 39:62]

This is the reality. This is stressed for us, in order for us to realize that ultimately, all good, all evil, that takes place in the world, only takes place by the permission of Allah. Therefore we should not seek any other channels to protect ourselves from evil, or to gather for ourselves good, as people commonly do today. They will go to fortunetellers, this is big business today, all the magazines have various forms of fortunetellers like dial a horoscope etc. in a society that has lost touch with Allah, this is what is open to them. Allah has stressed for us that no calamity will befall us except by Allah’s permission:

“Nothing is taking place in this world except by the permission of Allah.”

And the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam further emphasized this principle by saying:

“If the whole of mankind gathered to do some thing to help us, they could not help in anything which Allah had not already written for us. And if the whole of mankind gathered together to harm us, then they would not be able to harm with anything which Allah had not already written for us.”

Therefore what is required of us is to depend on Allah, put our trust in Allah. This is what we have to draw out of this attribute of Allah being the creator. This creation exists because of that attribute. Its practical significance to us lies in putting our trust in Allah.

There is another aspect, besides the fact that the creation exists because Allah is the creator. We can also see from what the Prophetsallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam has informed us, that in the creation there is manifestation of Allah’s attributes of mercy, forgiveness, kindness etc etc. Allah created man in paradise, they disobeyed Allah, but Allah had taught them how to repent, how to turn back to him and seek his forgiveness, then he would forgive them. Having done that, they were forgiven, Adam became the first prophet, and mankind was absolved of that sin. The story of Adam and Eve is the story of human existence. Human beings are given a consciousness of Allah. When Allah created all human beings, as he states in the Qur’an, he took from Adam all of his descendents, and made them all bear witness that Allah is their Lord. So we are all born with that consciousness. He has also given us a consciousness of what is right and what is wrong.

“We have inspired each and every soul to an awareness of corruption and righteousness.”

Allah gave revelation through his commandments, not to eat of the tree. However, human beings forget. And when they forget Allah then they fall into sin. We can absolve ourselves of that sin by means of repentance, and Allah forgives us when we repent sincerely. The Prophetsallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

“The one who repents is like the one without sin.”

“If you did not commit sins and turn to Allah seeking his forgiveness, then he would replace you with another people who would sin, ask Allah’s forgiveness and he would forgive them.”

So in our sinning and asking Allah’s forgiveness, the attribute of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness becomes manifest. Allah knew what we were going to do before he created us, he knew that he was creating a species who would sin. If he didn’t wan t them to sin, if it was not his intention to permit them to sin, then he could have created angels, more angels. But the had already created angels, so he chose to create a being, that would disobey his commandments through forgetfulness or just simple disobedience, but would turn back to him in repentance, and his attribute of forgiveness would become manifest. Similarly, his mercy.

The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam is quoted as saying that when Allah created the universe, He made an obligation on Himself, recorded in a document, kept by Him, that “My mercy precedes my wrath.” He sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam also was reported as saying:

“Allah created mercy with a hundred parts. One of which was sent down upon the jinn and human beings and other living creatures. It is out of this one part that they love each other, show kindness to one another, and even the animals treat their offspring with affection. Allah has reserved the remaining ninety-nine parts for his true worshippers on the Day of Judgment.”

This is the mercy of Allah manifest in his creation. What is also manifest in creation, in the act of creation, the creation of man, is his attribute of justice, fairness, which comes out as the judgment at the end of this world. I am sure we have all read the ahadith in which the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

“Allah created some people for hell and some people for paradise.”

For a lot of people, this is something very heavy. And the companions, they asked the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam then what is the point in doing good deeds? If Allah created some for heaven and some for hell then what is the pin in doing anything? It has already been decided. The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

“Each one of you will find it easy to do what he was created for.”

So if you choose the evil way, you find it easy and you carry on in that way, then that was what you were created for. But ultimately it is your choice. You choose hell. The fact hat Allah has recorded, before anything was created, who would be in hell and who would be in heaven does not change the fact that it is we who choose. The judgment is only to manifest to those who go to hell, that they deserve to be in hell. It is only for them basically. Because if Allah created you, and put you in paradise, with all that is in paradise, and you see those people in hell suffering, are you going to ask Allah, why did you put me in paradise? No, you’re going to say “all praise be to Allah!”, you don’t want to question or to wonder, all you will be is ecstatic that you are of those in paradise. So the judgment is not for you, it is for those who are going to hell. If you happen to be amongst those who were created for and put in hell, you would say, why me? Why did you put me in hell? And Allah would say because you would have done so and so in your life. But you would say no, no I wouldn’t. If you give me a chance I would do good deeds. You would not give up arguing.

So Allah has allowed us to live out our lives. So when we stand before him, our book of deeds is spread before us, we know without a shadow of a doubt, that we chose hell. That Allah’s judgment is just. There is no injustice in it, in any way shape or form. Allah says he oppresses no one. We will know that we chose hell.

And the only thing that remains for us, and I pray that it is not in fact us, who are going to hell, is to beg Allah for another chance. Allah says:

“If you could only see when the sinners will bow their heads before their lord, saying; O Lord, we have now seen and heard, so send us back and we will do righteous deeds. Verily, we now believe with certainty.”

This is the only response, which will be left for them. Or as Allah said:

“And those whose light scales of good deeds, they ruined themselves and they will be in hell eternally. The fire will burn their faces, and they will grin with disfigured lips, I will say to them; Were My Verses not recited to you, and you rejected them? They will reply; Our Lord, our misery overcame us and we were a people astray. Our Lord, bring us out of this, and if we ever return we will truly be unjust.”

When we die, there remains behind us a barrier, the barzakh, none of us will come back, it is a one-way ticket. Those poor individuals who think they will get another chance, this is the new age religion, they think it is new, but it is just plain old Hindu delusion, that when you die, you get another chance to come back again. The effects of this actually, among Hindus, where I am in the UAE, there are a lot of Hindus here, everyday in the news paper you read about a Hindu man or woman who ties a rope to a ceiling fan, which is found in many of the homes, put it around their neck, kicked away the chair and passed out of this world. Suicide is common amongst them. Why? Because they think they have another chance. It will be a rude awakening for them when they meet the angel of death and find themselves in the next life, realizing that there is no coming back.

In the creation of man is manifest the grace of Allah. This is a particular point which all of us should reflect on and be thankful to Allah for. His grace, and Christians, they like to refer to us Muslims as those who don’t believe in the grace of God, we are those who look at God’s judgment and it is just about deeds, you do good then you go to heaven, you do bad and you go to hell, that is it, no grace there at all. For them the grace of God is there for all those who accept that he became a man, and was crucified by man, to provide salvation for human beings who’s sins had become so great that they could not remove that sin through any act themselves. So it was with the spilling of the “Blood of God” that we could be absolved of our sins. For them, if you accept that God spilt his blood for mankind’s salvation, then you have earned the grace of God. Does not matter what you do as long as you have accepted this belief in the grace of God.

Muslims also believe in the grace of God. Actually it plays a major and significant role. Often it is not stressed but it is important for us to realize how the grace of Allah is manifest in our creation. The Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Observe moderation, but if you fail, try to do as much as you can moderately and be happy. For none of you will enter Paradise only because of his deeds.” Of course when the companions heard that they said, “O Messenger of Allah, not even you?” And the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Not even me. Were it not that Allah wrapped me in his mercy. And bear in mind that the deed most loved by Allah is one done constantly even if it is small.”

What does this mean? It means that God’s grace is manifest in our lives in that were He to call us to account, one good deed, one evil deed, equal to each other, then we would not enter paradise, not even the prophets of Allah. But Allah through his grace and mercy has multiplied the value of the good deeds. Allah says:

“Whoever brings a good deed, shall the value of ten like it. And whoever brings an evil deed will be punished with one like it. And they will not be wronged.”

[Al-Qur’an 3:160]

This is Allah’s grace. Good deeds erase evil deeds. One good deed will erase at least ten evil deeds. Allah’s grace is not arbitrary, simply because you say I believe you have his grace, no matter what you do, no. The more good you do, the more of his grace is manifest in you. If you chose evil and reject the good, then you don’t receive His grace, it doesn’t matter what you say. If you say, I am a Muslim, I believe, but really you don’t believe, it is just some words you are saying, them you will not be subject to the grace of Allah.

So the creation is a manifestation of Allah’s attribute of being the creator. In the creation of man within the scheme of things, there is manifest Allah’s attribute of mercy, his attribute of justice and this is the reason for the creation of man from the point of view of Allah. From human perspective, why did God create man in terms of for what purpose? Then this is the one we all know and are familiar with:

“We did not create the jinn and men except to worship us.”

[Al-Qur’an 51:56]

So relative to Allah, we were created in a means or a way in which Allah has chosen to manifest his attributes of creation, mercy, grace etc and he could have chosen another one. But relative to us as human beings, we know that our purpose is to worship Allah. As we said, Allah does not need our worship, a Allah didn’t need to create. When he created us to worship him, he didn’t create us, out of a need for our worship, because Allah has no needs. In a famous hadith qudsi in which Allah says:

“If all of you, jinn and mankind, were to worship like the most righteous amongst you, it would not increase the dominion of Allah in any way shape or form. And if all of us, jinn and mankind … “

Therefore when we look for the purpose of worship, we have to look into man. Allah created us to worship him, because we need to worship him. It is something he has given us as a means of benefiting ourselves. We are the ones who benefit from it. Worship has been established, fundamentally for the growth, the spiritual growth of man. This growth takes place through the remembrance of Allah. When you look at all the different aspects of worship, you will see the core of it is focused on the remembrance of Allah.

“Establish the prayer for My remembrance.”

This is the essence for the consciousness of God. Allah says that he has:

” … prescribed for us fasting, as he prescribed it for those before us, so that we may fear him.”

Worship is there for us to remember Allah. And it is in the remembrance of Allah, that we achieve that consciousness. Because it is when we forget Allah, that Shaytan causes us to disobey Allah and fall into sin. So it is only in His remembrance that we can attain salvation. All of the various acts of worship from saying “Bismillah” when we eat is to help us remember Allah in order to grow spiritually.

Allah has said that he has created us to test us, to see which of us is best in deeds. He is not testing us to know, in the sense that he doesn’t already know, but this world is a test for us in order again that we can grow spiritually.

We cannot develop this spiritual characteristic of generosity unless some of us have more then others and then we are required to give of the wealth we have. When we give, we grow. Similarly, if we were not in a position where others had more then us then we wouldn’t have the ability to develop the higher spiritual quality of contentment, patience, satisfaction in what Allah has given us.

So it is all there in order to bring out the higher spiritual qualities, which enable us to attain the state, which makes us suitable and eligible to return to paradise. The paradise from which we were created, we were created in paradise and for paradise. Through our choices we have left, in this life, a field of testing, where we can grow to a state where we deserve paradise.

The purpose of this life is the worship of Allah, this life is a test. A test for us, will we worship Allah, or will we forget Him. This is where our focus has to begin.

The man is poor before Allah !

The man is poor before Allah !

The man in general and whatever his fortune, his piety and strong faith in God in this world, he is poor, helpless and needy great. The true wealth of man consists in reality in the grace and the infinite mercy of Allah. This great divine favor that man could truly know until after his death, once before the LORD!

But in life, human socio-economic situation, even if it is flourishing and prosperous jeopardize it, hide and conceal his true spiritual poverty, keeping it free from all material needs, and he allow for a better life that could lead a man whose social situation is fairly deplorable.

But once a man dies, he leaves the social cycle of this world, and loses this advantage, however, that this life hid its true value, and is also becoming poor and ruined than any helpless in monde.Encore it worse, it becomes inert body, without life, without wealth, apprehending divine Mercy as wide as the heavens and the earth certainly only uncertain for him ...

Although pious believer, and having only good, it is not certain that these good works performed during his lifetime are approved, or against dirty, degraded and voidable by associationism (Echirk ) and therefore undermined by the Lord .The worst injustice, an unforgivable sin that can happen to man, and that could earn him the Wrath of God and hell, unless they repent and return to God.

Once dead, man becomes even poorer than the poor who still enjoys life, and whose divine possibilities of mercy and compassion it is still possible, and as the doors of repentance are still open.

So this life is not as happy and as healthy as they say, on the contrary it is a life abusing us and deceives us. An ordeal, an obstacle course that man must overcome to leave a healthy day and sound, or at least with a minimum of sins.

God says in the Holy Qur'an, "Allah is rich is you're poor." The true wealth of man, is being touched by the grace of the Lord. This grace is in the mercy of God, his great satisfaction to us, and the fact that we count among its elected and virtuous and win Paradise. This great favor that man may acquire and know that after issuance of the soul to his Creator.

Whatever man and his good works here, it will never offset or compensate for the multitude of blessings the Lord has granted us in this life, and that no one in the world can imagine.

Our Prophet (sala Allah alayhi wa sallam) said in a hadith "Let every man's good works can earn him Paradise" It is said, "Even you, O Messenger of Allah" He replies, "Even me, if God does not grant me mercy. "

We must especially remember one thing, the man once before the Lord, he will have to answer for all his actions, no matter how slight they think the weight of an atom, for good or evil. If Mercy of Allah was not as wide as the heavens and the earth, no man would have hoped Heaven given the abundance of his sins.

In a hadith kodûssi, The Lord says, "If the Mécréant know what God has mercy as he can never despair of my indulgence, and if the believer know what God has as punishment, he can never hope to Paradise! ".So, And are as big as our good works here, man will never happen to offset one of the benefits of the eye that God has granted.

Our Lord also tells us in the Qur'an that "mankind will go through hell" that is, we all have to go through that great and terrible bridge thrown over the entire length of hell, and that every human should one day through, at different speeds and each according to his faith, his works and its degree of piety.

However and whatever the man, his social position, his wealth, his property, his children in this world, there is always the poor, helpless before the great mercy of the Creator, and it is much more advantage in So far, the big day, going to meet his Lord.

May God have mercy on us, accept our good works and preserve us from this great and unforgivable sin, associationism (Echirk), however small it may be, and prevent us from dying in disbelief. The greatest danger that could happen to us, these poor men ... !!!

May God unite our hearts, we learn more all that escapes us, and guide us all to his right path, amin.

Our death, Let's think about it today !

Our death, Let's think about it today !

"Every soul will taste death." But it is only on the Day of Resurrection that you will receive your full recompense. Whoever is therefore kept away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has indeed succeeded. And the present life is nothing but a deceptive enjoyment. (Al-‘Imrân, v. 185).

When our hour arrives and our soul leaves us to join Heaven, and in the blink of an eye (or less) we reopen the eyes that death had closed, and with a piercing gaze, we will discover the great Truth that eluded us in this world. The veil that blinded our eyes throughout our lives will be definitively lifted. The invisible world will be revealed to us, we will see extraordinary creatures, we will know an Universe that the most developed minds of this earthly realm cannot guess or imagine the slightest details.

In this regard, our Islam teaches us, according to a noble hadith reported by Imam Ahmed, that the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a believing servant leaves this world for the Hereafter, angels come to him from the sky, their faces as radiant as the sun." They settle near him and are equipped with shrouds and heavenly perfumes. It is then that the angel of death arrives and sits near his head and says to him: "O good soul!" "Come out to enjoy divine forgiveness and mercy." It flows out like a drop of water escaping from a wineskin. When the angel of death seizes the soul, the other angels immediately catch it and place it in a shroud, bathing it in a perfume with a scent better than the best musk on earth. The angels ascend to heaven carrying this soul, and each time they pass by a group of angels, they say, "Who is this good soul?"

They respond: "It is the one of such-and-such son of such-and-such," using the best names the deceased had in his earthly life. Arriving at the lowest heaven, its opening is requested and granted immediately. At each level of heaven, the soul is welcomed by the best angels and accompanied to the next heaven; and this continues until it reaches the seventh heaven. It is then that Allah says: "Place the records concerning My servant in the highest spheres of the seventh heaven." Then bring him back to the earth, for it is from it that I created my servants, it is to it that I will return them, and it is from it that I will resurrect them. Then his soul is returned to his body, and two angels present themselves to him, stand him up, and question him:

- "Who is your Lord?"

"Allah is my Lord"

- "What is your religion?"

- "Islam is my religion"

- "What about the man who was sent to you?"

- "He is the Messenger of Allah"

"How did you know?"

"I read the book of Allah, I believed in it, and I approved of it!"

A call comes from the sky at that moment: "My servant has spoken the truth." Prepare for him a bed and garments from Paradise. Open for him a door to Paradise, and he will receive its scents and emanations. His grave will be expanded to the extent of his sight, and a handsome man, with beautiful clothes and a pleasant scent, will appear to him and say: "Rejoice, for this is the day that was promised to you."

- "Who are you, your face portends good?"

- "I am your good deed!"

- "Lord, hasten the Hour (of the Last Judgment) so that I may join my family and my possessions," he said.

Benefits of Converting to Islam !

Benefits of Converting to Islam !

There are many benefits of converting to Islam.  Some of them are:

  • One forms a personal and direct relationship with God by worshipping Him alone, without the need of intermediaries.  One feels this personal relationship and is aware that God knows everything and is there to assist him/her.
  • A person realizes the true purpose of his or her life, which is to recognize God and follow His commandments.
  • A person is provided with a light, which guides him/her through life.  The religion of Islam has answers to all situations, and one will always know the right steps to take in all aspects of life.
  • One finds true happiness, tranquility, and inner peace.
  • Upon converting to Islam, all of one’s previous sins are forgiven, and one starts a new life of piety and righteousness.  And as a Muslim, when one makes a mistake thereafter, he/she can always repent to God who forgives the sins of those who repent to Him sincerely.  There are no intermediaries or created beings to make confessions to.
  • One achieves salvation from Hellfire, which all prophets have warned against.
  • The greatest benefit is that a Muslim is promised by God the reward of eternal Paradise (Heaven).  Those who are blessed with Paradise, will live eternally in bliss without any sort of sickness, pain or sadness.  God will be pleased with them and they will be pleased with Him.  Even the lowest in rank among the dwellers of Paradise will have ten times the like of this world, and they will have whatever they desire.  In fact, in Paradise there are pleasures that no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and no mind has ever thought of.  It will be a very real life, not spiritual only, but physical as well.

To know more about some of the benefits in converting to Islam, you may read this article “The Benefits of Converting to Islam (3 parts)”.

How to Convert to Islam - The Testimony of Faith (Shahada)

Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process.  All that a person has to do is to say a sentence called the Testimony of Faith (Shahada), which is pronounced as:

I testify “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”

These Arabic words mean, “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.”  Once a person says the Testimony of Faith (Shahada) with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim.

The first part, “There is no true deity but God,” means that none has the right to be worshipped but God alone, and that God has neither partner nor son.  The second part means that Muhammad was a true Prophet sent by God to humankind.

To be a Muslim, one should also:

- Believe that the Holy Quran is the literal word of God, revealed by Him.

- Believe that the Judgment Day (Resurrection Day) is true and will come.

- Believe in the prophets that God sent and the books He revealed, and in His angels.

- Accept Islam as his/her religion.

- Not worship anything nor anyone except God.

It is that easy!  To hear the Testimony (Shahada), click here or click on “Live Help” for immediate assistance by chat.

The conversion can be done alone, but it is much better to do it with the help of one of our advisors through the “Live Help”, so we may help you in pronouncing it right and to provide you with important pieces of information and advice that is especially prepared for new converts, to help them get started with their newfound faith.

If you have followed the guidance above and converted to Islam by yourself, then rest assured that you are not alone, rather the same faith is shared by 1.7 billion people.  We highly recommend that you inform us now through the Contact Us form or through the “Live Help”, so that we can provide you with useful resources and advice, suitable for you as a new Muslim.

We congratulate you on your decision, welcome you to Islam, and will try our best to help you in any way we can! :)

Some Common Misconceptions

Some people may postpone their conversion to Islam, though they believe it to be the true religion of God, due to some misconceptions.  They may think that things like changing their name, knowing some Arabic, informing others of their conversion, knowing some Muslims, or not having committed many sins, are conditions for conversion – however the reality is that none of these are valid excuses for delaying the conversion.

If you would like to learn more about these and other similar misconceptions, please read the article, “I want to be a Muslim but... Myths about Converting to Islam (3 parts)”.

For Those Not Yet Convinced

Islam claims to be the true way to God.  What makes one religion valid over other ideologies is the proofs it offers for its truthfulness.  Hence, one needs to look at these proofs, weigh them and take an informed decision.  One needs to be sincere in one’s endeavour and above all seek the help of the Almighty to guide him/her to the right path.

If a person is still not convinced of the truthfulness of Islam, then he/she can further look at the proofs Islam offers.  Islam offers overwhelming proofs of its truthfulness and is the only religion that completely appeals to common sense.

Some of the proofs Islam offers are: the scientific proofs in the Quran, the miracles performed by the Prophet Muhammad and the prophesies of his coming in previous scriptures, the foretold events mentioned in the Quran that later came to pass, the unmet challenge of the Quran to bring even a chapter like it, and the divine wisdom in the laws and teachings of Islam that cover all aspects of life.  To learn more about the proofs of Islam, please check the articles under this section, “Evidence Islam is Truth”.

If you would like to learn more about Islam and its fundamental beliefs and practices, then please refer to the article “What is Islam? (4 parts)”.

Our everlasting life in the Hereafter depends on what faith we choose to follow in this transient life, hence let us give this struggle the priority it deserves.

Dear brothers in God, this world is not for us; it belongs to others, ours lies elsewhere, a world that none of us could imagine beauty or eternal happiness. An wealthy ploughman, feeling his death imminent, sent his children to speak to them without witness: 'Beware,' he said, 'to sell the inheritance our parents have left us, a treasure is hidden in it 'I don’t know where; but a little courage will make you find it.' work, take pains, the fund is the least lacking..." (Victor Hugo).

Wisdom is human, it is the expression and language of the heart, whether it comes from a Muslim or a non-Muslim, the essence is there, and that’s what matters to us as Muslims. Heaven is closer to the believer than his own jugular vein can be, let us exploit to the maximum the good and the good works, seek them where they are, and let us make of this life a passage for the other and not especially a goal. Allah (swt) has opened and facilitated all the ways leading to Paradise, let us take advantage of it and above all let us not give our passions and pleasures of this short life an opportunity to deceive us.

at there is no work more fruitful and recommended by Allah (swt) than the invocation of Allah (swt). The prophet (sala Allah alayhi wa sallama) said that he who says, Allah forgives believers and women believers. «he will be recorded for each believer and each believer a good deed».(Reported by Sheikh el Al bani).

You realize, dear brothers in God, that it is not so difficult for the believer to hope for the satisfaction of God and a place in the Gardens of Eden.It is however and simply up to the Christian brother, in search of the Truth, to take the first step, and Allah (swt) will do the rest...
