Woodblock Wednesday - Mixed Media Birthday

 

Amy Tsuruta hosts a monthly challenge inspiring crafters to give some inky love to our forgotten woodblock stamps.  I found a large stamp at my local thrift store last weekend.  I couldn't wait to use it and the style seemed perfect for a mixed media design.

The stamp is from a company that I was not familiar with.  Stamps Happen, Inc and the stamp is called New York Socialite.  The stamp is large and had never been inked!  I love these thrift store finds.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - #404 AG or Christmas

 

I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  My Anything Goes card features House Mouse Designs 1998 (Stampa Rosa) Best Friends wood mount stamp.

This is a very large image and needs little embellishment.  It was stamped onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic markers.  A small sentiment was added from my stash.

The current challenge at Penny Black Saturday challenge is Bingo.  My card features an older Penny Black wood mounted stamp - Irises 2664L.  It was the perfect image for my mixed media birthday card.

The image was stamped onto a Gelli Print book page then framed with CTMH card stock.  The MFT die cut sentiment was cut in black card stock twice for dimension.  A few gems finish the card.
