HMFMC #432-ATG or Use an embossing folder

 

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge to use an embossing folder.  My card features the adorable House-Mouse Designs Donut Day (retired).

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It was fussy cut and layered onto an embossed panel using an interesting technique with embossing powders.  Basically, you layer embossing powders onto a piece of parchment paper, melt it then run it through the machine inside a folder of choice!

This was my first attempt.

The chocolate panel was also embossed traditionally with a dot folder.  A few nuvo drops were added and a sentiment from Paper Smooches finishes the card.

I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with their Christmas option.  The mousey image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Copic Markers.

Designer paper layers are from a Hobby Lobby Winterland Cabin paper pad.  All layers were mounted onto red glitter card stock.  The final card size is 5.50 inches square.  A few gems complete the card.

I'm sharing a fun birthday card with the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  My card features an older wood mount image from House-Mouse Designs (Stampabilities) called Make A Wish.  

I started by stamping and coloring the sweet image with Prismacolor pencils.  A stenciled background was created with the MFT Sunray stencil. I finished the card by using the  Giant Happy Birthday die from Lawn Fawn with hot pink glitter paper from my stash.

I'm playing along with the current challenge at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with their option of Lovely Leaves.  My card features an older wood mount House-Mouse Designs stamp called Mice Landing (1994).

The image was stamped onto Stampin' Up Natural Ivory (discontinued) card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  An ink blended frame was created with Distress Inks and a Maple Leaf Stencil from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I finished the card simply with a few gems and sentiment from Stampin' Up! Express Yourself Hostess set (retired).

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It is a very large image and was die cut with a wonky stitched die and layered onto Colorbok polkadot paper.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! hostess set called Express Yourself.

I'm joining the current House Mouse Challenge with the Anything Goes theme.  My card features an older House-Mouse Designs (1999) wood mount stamp from Stamp Rosa called Do Re Meow.

I stamped the image onto water color paper with Versa Claire ink.  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil then die cut.

The image was layered onto a partial doily, Spellbinder label die (from my stash) and sheet music paper from American Crafts.  I purposely omitted a sentiment to be used for any occasion.

 My card features a coloring page from the House Mouse Designs Spiral Bound Color Book.  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and layered onto a Gelli Print background.  A few dewdrops and sentiment complete the card.

The image was stamped onto Hero Arts Water Color paper.  It was water colored and die cut with a wonky stitched die.  Both the image panel and card base were stenciled with Memento Blue Danube ink.  Stampin' Up! Bakers Twine and birthday sentiment from Colorado Craft Company finish the card.

HMFC#412 Anything Goes + Option Use Some Design Paper

I'm playing along with the current challenge at House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  They also offer an option with their Anything Goes theme.  This week we were asked to use some design paper.

I recently purchased Berry Good cling rubber set from the House Mouse Designs Spring Collection.  The image was stamped onto X-Press It card stock with VersaFine Clair ink.  I colored and die cut a portion of the full image for my card.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It was layered onto designer paper from Basic Grey Indie Bloom paper pad (sadly no longer available).  A few enamel dots and a gingham bow finish the card.

The image was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with Tombow Markers then die cut with a wonky stitched die.  Prismacolor pencils were also added for highlights. 

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set called Hand Knit.  The striped designer paper is from the Stampin' Up 2010 In-Color papers.  SU Poppy Parade and Cool Caribbean card stock were used.

I picked up a sweet wood mounted House Mouse stamp at Hobby Lobby earlier this month while on vacation.  Spring Rain is so sweet and perfect with the older Farm Fresh papers from October Afternoon.

The image was stamped with VersaClaire ink and colored with Tombow markers.  It is bordered with a Spellbinder circle die which was in my stash.  I inked all edges with the same VersaClaire ink, added a sentiment and enamel dots.

The current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge is to use touches of silver and/or gold.  I created a starry sky with a gelli plate galaxy print and this cute little House Mouse image from the Stampendous Spring Stamps set.

The image was fussy cut and colored with Sepia Prismacolor pencil.  A Darice star emboss folder was used for the base.  The galaxy background gelli print was layered onto silver glitter paper with a moon image and gold star stickers.

I have a quick Thanksgiving themed card for this week's House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  My card features the adorable Mice Landing (1994) wood mounted image from House-Mouse Designs/Stampabilities.

The embossed base panel is an older folder from Cuttlebug.  I felt that the embossing "spoke" for itself and needed minimal embellishment.  Only a few enamel dots and fall colors.

Are you a thrift store, garage sale, flea market shopper?  I LOVE to find a good treasure.  I was so excited to come across this adorable House Mouse woodblock stamp recently at my local thrift store.  I Give You My Heart (2003) was produced under the Stampabilities brand.  I couldn't wait to ink it up!

The image was colored with alcohol markers.  A lightly sponged sky and Wink of Stella highlights on the flowers complete the scene.  I layered the image onto several scrap pieces of designer paper from Echo Park and Pebbles Garden Party paper pads.  Bakers twine and pearls complete the card.

Hello!  I hope everyone had a great weekend and got a few minutes to get crafty.  

I couldn't resist joining the current challenge at House Mouse & Friends.  Their current challenge theme option is Fruit.  I love this older wood mount House-Mouse Designs stamp called Sleeping with Strawberries (1999 Stampa Rosa, Inc).

I have been practicing with my water coloring skills this week!  So, the image was stamped onto water color paper then water colored with the Altenew Watercolor Essential 12 Pan set.  The image was die cut then layered onto retired designer papers from Stampin' Up!  

My layout inspiration was provided by a Mojo Monday sketch.  I really do miss Julee's sketchy inspiration.  If you are interested you can check out her library of sketches HERE.
