My card features this week's digital Bible verse and a lovely digital image from Power Poppy called Lilacs and Lemons.  The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prisma color pencils.  Coordinating designer papers from my stash accent the image and Scripture.

Art Impressions Monthly Guest Designer Challenge #11 Frame It!

 

I'm joining the Art Impressions Monthly Guest Designer Challenge with the adorable Doggy Kisses Set (AiCS38).  I love the adorable images and humorous sentiments included in this set.  It is perfect for a Get Well card that I needed this week for a friend who had surgery.

The image was stamped on Stampin' Up! Crumble Cake and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The papers retired SU In-Color Calypso Coral (2011-2013).

I created the frame with a Spellbinder die and doodled border.

I'm playing along with the current challenge at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with their option of Lovely Leaves.  My card features an older wood mount House-Mouse Designs stamp called Mice Landing (1994).

The image was stamped onto Stampin' Up Natural Ivory (discontinued) card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  An ink blended frame was created with Distress Inks and a Maple Leaf Stencil from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  I finished the card simply with a few gems and sentiment from Stampin' Up! Express Yourself Hostess set (retired).

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #426

 

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends challenge with a fun birthday card.  My card features an older woodblock House-Mouse Designs stamp called Gouda Wish.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It is a very large image and was die cut with a wonky stitched die and layered onto Colorbok polkadot paper.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! hostess set called Express Yourself.

I'm joining the current challenge at The Paper Shelter - Layers.  My card features A Papercraft Fun digital set.  I chose to use the pre-colored image on canvas Co'ordinations card stock.

The image was die cut with MFT banner die-namics and layered onto designer papers from Stampin' Up's retired Just Delightful Simply Scrappin' kit.  Stampin' Up! Certainly Celery card stock accents.  The birthday sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Di's Digi Challenge - Flower Frenzy

 

I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Design Challenge.  My card features Di's adorable Daisy Highland Cow digital image.  

The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  Stickles were applied to all of the flowers for added dimension.  The image was then die cut with a negative die cut yellow frame.  

Coordinating papers and stickers are from a retired Stampin' Up!  Simply Scappin' set - Just Delightful.  SU Certainly Celery card stock was used for the base. Stampabilities wood mount Birthday sentiment finishes the card.

I am challenging myself to use more designer papers this year!  AND use my huge stash!

I'm playing along with the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  This week's challenge is stitches.  My card features an older Stampendous wood mount stamp called Knit Gift.

The image was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with Tombow Markers then die cut with a wonky stitched die.  Prismacolor pencils were also added for highlights. 

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set called Hand Knit.  The striped designer paper is from the Stampin' Up 2010 In-Color papers.  SU Poppy Parade and Cool Caribbean card stock were used.

Di's Digi Challenge - Anything New

 

I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Design Challenge.  This week we were asked to create Anything New.  My card features Di's Doodled House digital image for a New Home Congratulations.

The digital was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  I used a square die negative to mask the image and sponge the sky.  Designer paper from American Crafts and a sentiment from Stampin' Up! finish the card.

My Favorite Things Sketch #664

 

I'm sharing a Fall themed card for this week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things.  I pulled out a favorite set designed by Birdie Brown called Sweater Weather in the Woods.  The image was water colored with Tombow markers and the sweater was paper pieced.  A few gems were applied for the buttons.  

The sentiment is from MFT Happy Pumpkin Season.  A retired Stampin' Up! French Script background stamp was applied to the base panel with VersaMark ink.  It provides a very subtle texture which I thought finished the project off nicely.

All card stock and designer papers are from Gina K.  I'm currently on a "mission" to use papers from my stash for my projects.  I LOVE beautiful papers and tend to hoard them for just the right project! :)

My youngest niece will be turning one later this month.  Jan's Digital set SplishSplash is so cute and perfect for the occasion.  

This digital set comes with all of the following:

• 7 Color Drawings- in JPG and PNG format 
• 6 Black and White Drawings- in JPG and PNG format
• 6 Sentiments- in PNG format

For my card, I used the pre-colored image on Core'dinations Vanilla Cream Canvas card stock.  The canvas card stock gives a fun texture to the card.  To show my love for my niece, papers from October Afternoon Ducks in a Row paper pad was used for the card.  (Those of you hoarding October Afternoon will truly appreciate this comment!)

A few Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2023 In Color Jewels and (retired) SU sentiment finish the card.

Happy Thursday!  I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Stamp Challenge.  The current bi-weekly challenge theme is Load on the Flowers.

My floral themed card features Di's adorable Plantpot Wendy digital image.   The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  An inky background was created by daubing Memento Blue Danube ink around the image after die cutting.

The image panel was layered onto designer papers from My Mind's Eye Reunion paper pad.  A sentiment from Stampin' Up!, several floral accents and dew drops were complete the card.

The image was colored with Tombow Markers then layered onto MME pattern paper and a variety of circle die cuts.  This was a fun design that used several "scrap" items from my stash.  The sentiment is a retired Stampin' Up! hostess set called Express Yourself.

Feels Like Home Anniversary

 

I needed an Anniversary card for my cousin and his wife.  I pulled out this Stampin' Up! set called Feels Like Home from their 2021 Sale-A-bration.  

The image was stamped with my Misti then loosely water colored with Altenew pan watercolors.  I finished by splattering green distress ink.  A few sequins and sentiment from Stampin' Up! Express Yourself hostess set finish the card.

HMFMC # 385 Anything Goes Option Theme Use a Die

 

Are you looking forward to Spring weather?  In my yard, the first thing to pop through the soil are the lovely daffodils.  I know Spring is close when the green growth peeks through.  

The current House Mouse and Friends challenge has an optional theme of dies.  I combined a Memory Box Spring Border die with this sweet House-Mouse Designs Feed and Seed stamp from 2005.  I was very fortunate to find a set of 7 older House-Mouse Design wooden stamps at my local thrift store.  What a find!  And the red rubber appeared to have never seen ink.

The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut with a Wonky Stitched die.  Memory Box Puffy Clouds die and sentiment finish the card.  

Card stock:  Colorbok polkadot, Stampin' Up! Lovely Lilac, Green Galore, Daffodil Yellow and Creamy Caramel.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge - February Color Inspiration

 

I recently came across the Altenew Inspiration Challenges.  The color inspiration this month immediately called to me!  My project features Altenew Paint A Flower:  Spider Mums.  

The image was stamped onto water color paper then water colored with Altenew Water color Essential 12 Pan set.  The image panel was layered onto SU Basic Black and Pink Passion  card stock.  I kept the image focal with a few rhinestones and a simple sentiment.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is currently hosting an optional monochromatic challenge.  Of course, I had to give it a try!  I really like how this turned out ... 

All papers are retired from Stampin' Up's In-Color series.  Love this yummy Peach Parfait.  The mousey from Stampendous was embossed and colored with Copic Markers.  I finished the card with a small piece of lace and a retired (2001) Thanksgiving sentiment from Stampin' Up.
