Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Psalm 119:50

My card features this week's digital Bible verse and a lovely digital image from Power Poppy called Lilacs and Lemons.  The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prisma color pencils.  Coordinating designer papers from my stash accent the image and Scripture.

Power Poppy Blossom Challenge - Sponge Bath!

 

I'm joining the current challenge at Power Poppy - Sponging.  I started by sponging Wilted Violet Distress Ink on Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder card stock with a stencil from Create A Smile.

I printed, colored and fussy cut Power Poppy French Lilac digital stamp as the focus of the card.  The image was layered onto a piece of vellum and the stenciled panel.  A few gems and sentiment finish the card.

Power Poppy Challenge: Inspired by the Sea

 

My hopes of an early Spring were dashed today with a wet snowfall.  What can a gal do but pull out a beautiful floral image, color and dream of Spring Flowers!  

The current photo challenge at Power Poppy was a real inspiration tonight for my card.  It features Power Poppy's digital Tulips set.  The blooms were colored with alcohol markers and blended.  I water colored the background with Tombow markers and a paint brush.

A coordinating sentiment is included in the set.  The image panel and layer were die cut with Scrappy Boy Stitched Scalloped Edge dies.  A piece of Pink Pirouette was used for the card base with a few sequins scattered.

Happy Friday!  I hope everyone had a great week.  Hubby and I got back on Monday from our winter break.  I have been away from the craft room getting a little sun and sand in Kauai.  Of course, I carried along my Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils to color while we were away.  I even had enough "elbow room" to color on the flight down!  

One of the images which I had a time to color was this lovely digital image from Power Poppy called Billowing Balloon Flower.  This was a free image that Marcella graciously provided during the Kit and Clowder advent challenge.  Be sure to stop by the Power Poppy shop and check out all of the beautiful images. The current Blossom Challenge is clean and simple.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and layered simply onto Stampin' Up!  Always Artichoke card stock.  A sentiment from Unity Stamp Company and bakers twine finish the card.

I'm joining the current challenge at Power Poppy to use shimmer and shine on our projects.  My card features their beautiful Snowy Church digital set.  

The digital image was printed onto water color paper and water colored with Peerless water colors.  Stickles were added randomly.  The panel was layered onto silver glitter cardstock and snowflake embossed base.  A glittery snowflake and gem finish the card.

Good morning!  I'm sharing a Fall design for the current Power Poppy challenge.  My card features Power Poppy's Seasons Seatings digital set.

I printed the image onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image was die cut and layered onto papers from my stash.  A ribbon and acorn embellishment finish the card.

I'm sharing a birthday card with Power Poppy's Sentimental Challenge.  My card features the Power Poppy Digital Bird in Berries image.  The birthday sentiment is an older unmounted image which was stamped in VersaClaire.

I'm so excited that Marcella and The Bloomies are back in action at Power Poppy!  Oh how I've missed the beautiful inspiration.  

My card features the lovely Flower Bomb digital set.   It was colored with Copic markers and layered onto designer papers from Pink Paislee.  

The gorgeous floral image needs little embellishment.  I've finished with a few pearls.

I'm very excited to post my first project with the Word Art Wednesday design team.  I was very surprised and honored to have been asked to join the team recently.  I look forward to sharing creative inspiration with the team while focusing on God's Word!

My card includes a new digital image from Power Poppy and has been colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  The panel was die cut and layered onto various papers from my stash.  I finished with a few enamel dots and a machine stitched border.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge - Let It Snow!

 

I couldn't resist joining the Winter Time/Let it Snow challenge at Power Poppy.  The recent winter release is perfect for this challenge.  Who could resist this adorable Bernard Bear image??  

I picked up some digital images with their Black Friday Weekend sale with 30% of digis. 

The snowy cabin digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  I also highlighted the snow with Icicle Stickles then sponged a cloudy sky with Memento ink and a scalloped die cut.

Bernard Bear from Forest Fellas was also printed onto SU cardstock, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and adhered to the snowy scene.  I just love him!  Marcella's details are so fabulous, down to a watch on his arm!

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge - Coloring on Colored Cardstock

 

I'm starting my Thanksgiving cards early this year with this amazing digital image from Power Poppy called Season's Seatings.  I used this week's challenge prompt by printing the image onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and coloring with Prismacolor pencils.

I hope to experiment with other colored cardstock soon.  I really like the effect on kraft!  I kept the card fairly simple with layers and a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti: Pop Goes the Flower!

I had a chance to color over the weekend while camping.   It was so relaxing to coloring this lovely digital Luminous Bouquet image from Power Poppy.  My card was inspired by the "Pop Goes the Flower" challenge - color the background to make the flower POP.  

The image was colored with Copic Markers and layered onto papers from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Paper Pad.  I also used the current Mojo sketch as inspiration.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti: Sketch it Out & ROck Your Mojo

I'm joining the current Power Poppy Challege featuring their beautiful Peonies Digital Stamp set.  Hurry, it's on sale now for $2.49!

I followed Julie's tutorial HERE which shows how to apply a quick splash of color by stippling inks.  Love this technique!

Following Julie's example, I started by stippling Memento Rose Bud ink in the centers of the flowers.  I then came back with Angel Pink Memento ink.  The leaves were stippled with Bamboo Leaves.  I finished the panel by flicking the Bamboo Leaves ink mixed with a little water using a toothbrush.

A machine stitched border, sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy, designer paper from Pebbles Garden Party and brads finish the card. 

My card was also inspired by Julie's Rock Your Mojo challenge.  I LOVE peonies... the smell and huge blooms remind me of my childhood.  My mom and grandmothers all had peony bushes.  I have about a dozen bushes around my yard and they are currently in full bloom!

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge: Shape Up!

I'm sneaking in a last minute entry for the Shape Up! challenge at Power Poppy.  My card features the Wildflower Mini digital set from Power Poppy.  

The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! whisper white card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  I pulled out an older Spellbinder die from my stash called Labels Five for the image and matting.  A few enamel dots and sentiment from SU finish the card.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge - Quick Color!

While Alaska may be a little behind everyone else with gardening I decided to get my floral fix with Power Poppy this weekend!  I'm joining the current Quick Color challenge with a card featuring their beautiful Peonies digital stamp set.

I followed Julie's tutorial HERE which shows how to apply a quick splash of color by stippling inks.  Love this technique!

Since I was already inky, I couldn't stop there!  The base panel is from Basic Grey's Fiction Paper Pad.  Before adhering the image panel, I also flicked brown distress ink.  After drying, I adhered the image panel, sequins and a ribbon to finish the card.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Let's Go Digital!

I'm joining the April "Let's Go Digital" Challenge at Power Poppy.  I recently purchased their adorable Potted Geranium digital set from the shop.  Marcella has this set on sale right now for $2.49! 

I love working with digital images.  They are so versatile and easy to store!  Of course, you must have a computer and printer.  I picked up a Canon Pixma at Wal-mart recently for $25 and it works great!  The digital image can be sized as big or small as you want to fit your design.  I {LOVE} that!

I colored the image with Copic Markers and die cut with my new MFT Wonky Stitched die.  The designer paper is from my stash of Basic Grey - Indie Bloom.  I thought it would be perfect.  A little ribbon from my stash finishes the card.
