Beccy's Place December Digital Release - Stems in a Teacup Set

I'm sharing a group of cards featuring a December digital release from Beccy's Place called Stems in a Teacup.  The set comes with both pre-colored and B&W images.

The first card in my post features a pre-colored image.  I colored the others with alcohol markers and applied Wink of Stella for a subtle shimmer.

All three image panels were mounted onto the same designer papers.  The lovely floral images are so versatile and I enjoyed creating varying designs with the same papers.  Raise your hand if you have a huge stash of beautiful designer papers!  This was a great self-challenge!

Be sure to stop by Beccy's Place online store to see all of the new products.  Beccy also hosts a fun monthly challenge in which to use (and win) Beccy's sweet images.  You can check out the challenge details on the Beccy's Place Blog.

Beccy's Place January New Release - Art of Friendship

Beccy's Place released a lovely floral digital set this month called Art of Friendship.  You can find it HERE in Beccy's shop.  This set comes with two lovely floral images and six coordinating sentiments.  I love the versatility of this set!

My first project features one of the lovely floral images.  The card and bookmark set will be a great gift for a treasured friend.  I enjoy tucking a bookmark in as little gift!  The image was printed and colored with Copic Markers then die cut.  I kept the card design clean and simple to focus on the lovely image.  It was layered onto a diagonal stripe embossed panel and finished with rhinestones.

The bookmark was printed and colored with Copic Markers then die cut with Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles Large.  It was layered onto Gina K. Passionate Pink card stock and finished with a gingham ribbon.

I stepped out of my comfort zone with the final project featuring Art of Friendship.  Digital images are so versatile.  I love the ease of storage and ability to size them (larger or smaller).  For this project, I enlarged the floral image and printed directly to water color paper.  Distress inks were used to watercolor the image and background.  I added Stickles and a wooden sentiment for dimension.

Once completely dry, I mounted the water color onto poster board.   A sticky sheet of burlap (from my stash) was mounted onto the wall frame then the poster board was applied.  I really enjoyed creating this wall art and I'm happy with the results!

Be sure to stop by Beccy's Shop and see all of her fun digital sets.  I'm sure you will find something to add to your creative stash!

Beccy's Place August Release - Hello Lovely

Beccy's Place released an adorable new digital floral set this month called Hello Lovely.    The water lily image is lovely and I had so much fun creating both cards.

The first card was printed onto water color paper and water colored with distress inks.  A sentiment from the set was printed onto vellum and layered over the floral image.  Sequins and a mulberry paper layer finish the card.

The second design features the water lily on dictionary paper and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The floral image was layered onto a floral die cut panel.  A sentiment, pearls and gems finish the card.

Word Art Wednesday Weeks #549 - #550

Welcome!  The new Word Art Wednesday challenge starts today, and our sponsor is Altenew, who are giving a generous gift of a $15 voucher to their store.

My card features a floral set from Altenew called Paint-A-Flower: Spider Mums.  The floral image is huge and the detail is fabulous.  I began stamping the image onto watercolor paper with versamark then heat embossing in white.  I then used the ink smooshing technique followed by watercolor of the flowers.

I finished the card simply with a black mat, sentiment and a few Stampin' Up! rhinestones.  This is not my typical style, but I will definitely try this again.

This week's free Word Art Scripture is available for your use.  The challenge is always anything goes with a family friendly theme.  You can enter up to 5 times each week.  We are always excited to see your creations!

Di's Digi Design Challenge - Loads of Flowers

We are finally seeing Spring-like weather in Alaska!  It's so refreshing to see the daffodils and tulips in bloom.  So, I couldn't resist using Di's adorable Puppy Pals for this week's Loads of Flowers challenge.

I printed the image onto water color paper and used Peerless water colors and Tombow markers to color the image.

The 5.75 inch square card base was in my stash and worked perfectly for the die cut layers and floral accents.  Designer papers are from Pebbles Garden Party and sentiment is Paper Smooches.

A Blog Named Hero March Challenge - Floral

I'm joining the March Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.  The current theme is Floral.  I couldn't resist making a fun scene with Hero Arts newest HeroScape set called Lily Pond.

The base panel is a gel print using a Simon Says Stamp Dye Inks and Distress Oxide ink.  I was happily surprised with the end result.

The lily pond scene was created by layering each stamp using my Misti and distress inks.  A Hero Arts Happy Mother's Day (F333) sentiment and a few enamel dots finish the card.

Graciellie Design April New Release - True Beauty Digital set

Graciellie Design features beautiful floral digital stamps sets.  The new April release is no exception.  My card features the new True Beauty Digital set.  This set includes the beautiful floral image and four coordinating sentiments.
My card started by printing the floral image onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock.  The image was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.
The image was layered onto coordinating papers from my stash.  My favorite (easy) embellishment is machine stitching.  I quickly added a machine stitched border to the base panel.
Machine stitching is decorative, provides dimension and holds my panel in place.  I am using my old standby Brother sewing machine.  Be sure to keep a needle handy just for paper projects since it will get dull quickly.  I also keep a supply of sharp needles for sewing projects.
A sentiment was printed from the True Beauty set and layered onto black cardstock.  I finished by embellishing the card with gold thread, cheesecloth and sequins.

Graciellie Design January Release - Friends Like You

I'm so excited to share a beautiful new digital set from Graciellie Design called Friends Like You.  This set comes with a beautiful floral image and four sentiments.  It's perfect for any occasion AND it's available in Gracie's Etsy shop right now!
My card started by printing the floral image two times on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock, coloring with Copic Markers and then fussy cutting both images.
Gracie has designed a beautiful new digital paper selection which coordinates perfectly with this set.  I chose to print two coordinating Blue & Pink Watercolor digital papers for the card base.

They were trimmed to size and then machine stitched.
Machine stitching is one of my favorite techniques!  Not only does it provide a finished look, but it's a great way to adhere panels.
The colored image was applied to the based and the second floral cut out was layered with dimensional foam tape for dimension.
I chose to print the coordinating sentiment onto a heavy weight vellum from Paper Temptress so as not to cover the beautiful papers.  A few embellishments finish the card - White Splitz Ribbon from Paper Temptress, gold thread and a small piece of cheese cloth for additional dimension and texture.
I hope you will stop by Gracie's Etsy shop and check out all of the new release products.  I know you will find something beautiful!  Many of Gracie's sweet images are also available in Red Rubber at Unity Stamp Company.
