Sassy Cheryl's Challenges

Tonight I'm sharing my submission for two of the Sassy Cheryl Challenges. The first is for Cheryl's Color Me challenge #16 that she posts every Tuesday. She provides 3 or 4 new images and asks that participants color them. How easy is that?! And you might win a FREE Sassy Cheryl digital image of your choice.

I chose to color the new Country Birdhouse Duo image. I printed this image out twice then colored with Copics. I cut the cute birdhouses out and popped them onto the first image with foam tape to give them some dimension. I cut the image out with Spellbinder nestibilities then sponged the edges with Memento Dandelion ink.

This also qualifies over on the Sassy Cheryl's Digi Challenge blog where this week we were asked to "Use Something New". There's nothing newer than Cheryl's new "Country Birdhouse Duo" digital image! But I also used the new Hello Luscious paper pack by Basic Grey. It's so yummy!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek! Hope you have a great weekend!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #17

Wow, I can't believe it's time to peek at everyone's stamping space again over on Sassy Cheryl's blog challenge! Cheryl asks us to post a photo of what we're working on this week. Easy peasy! AND you get a chance at winning one of Sassy Cheryl's digi images FREE!

My first photo is my "inspiration" piece in the room. This is "Helga" and she is my dress form which I made for college clothing and tailoring classes. I don't do much sewing for myself anymore so she has taken a prominent spot in my stamp room to hold ideas for stamping and scraping.

My second photo shows what I'm working on tonight. I needed a quick masculine birthday card and used this little pup from the Digi Shack. The cards aren't yet completed, but the inside sentiment says: Now whenever he farts, he plays "Happy Birthday". I have one of the new Sassy Cheryl images ready to color for this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to get time to play this weekend, as well as, do a little Spring cleaning. Of course, we still have about 24 inches of snow in our yard so my cleaning will have to stay indoors!!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #16

I've been having such fun peeking into everyone else's workspace! It's such a great way to get ideas. I'm actually sharing two photos tonight. My messy workspace has some new goodies from the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration. I usually place an order with them twice a year and stock up on the basics.
This time around I got the sweet hydrangea
image in the "Because I Care" set. I am also
finishing up a couple of stamping projects.

I thought I would share a second photo of my stamp room. This is an over-the-door shoe storage that I found at a garage sale for $1.00. It works perfectly for my hand punches. I ran out of drawer space and this was a great space saving idea.

That's all for tonight! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Sassy Cheryl Inspired by Nature

Tracey's challenge for us this week over on the Sassy Cheryl' Digi Stamps Challenge Blog is Nature. I recently treated myself to a shopping trip at Sassy Cheryl's shop and one of the images from my wish list was "There's A Bee is On Your Nose". It was the perfect image for this challenge!

I decided to use my Copic Markers for the image this week. Here's
a photo of the colors that I used. The background was sponged with
Memento Bahama Blue and a scallop circle to represent clouds. The
grass was sponged with Memento Pear Tart.
The image was cut with Spellbinders Labels Twelve and layered on
DCWV Cafe Mediterranean Designer Paper. The panels were machine stitched.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #73

This week's challenge over on Mo's Challenge Blog is courtesy of Pat Frank. Pat has challenged us to use a "Bit of Green" on our projects this week. This sweet image has been on my Wish List for some time now. I decided that I deserved a little shopping this weekend and bought "Strawberry Girl". Her strawberries and flowers have the "bit of green", along with, the adorable October Afternoon designer papers.

The digital image was colored with Prisma Pencils and baby oil. I also used Copic Markers for the skin tones. The background was sponged with blue chalk to give a light sky affect. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sassy Chery's Color Me Challenge #14

This is my first submission for Cheryl's Color Me Challenge. I couldn't resist her adorable new image "The Thinking Spot". I have recently been using a lot of reds and oranges. That's what I decided to use with this sweet image.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and the background has been sponged with Memento dye inks. I've combined the image panel with Basic Grey Marrakech papers. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #54

This week's challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl's digi Stamps blog is Pink and White. I don't use a lot of pink in my cards, but I decided that this sweet "Bubble Blower" image by Cheryl was perfect for the challenge! Remember childhood (or maybe today) when you had a huge piece of bubblegum and tried to blow a huge bubble without popping it? That's what this image reminds me of!
The "Bubble Blower" image was colored with Copic Markers then the background was sponged with Memento inks. I found the whimsical designer paper in my stash and decided it was perfect to repeat her huge bubble! I added a couple of prima flowers and pearls.
