30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 28

Happy Thanksgiving!

Looking forward to a wonderful day with friends and family, with lots of relaxing, which is perfection.  For today's gratitude card I thought it was only fitting to share the cards I made for our family and friends for Thanksgiving.  The August 2019 Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin kit was so beautiful I knew I would use it for Thanksgiving so I bought the add-on kit which provided 24 pre-printed cardbases and envelopes and used the elements from the main Paper Pumpkin kit to make these cards (plus more, and have lots of supplies left).  There are several different layers and textures on each card which really help dress them up and saved me a lot of work, which is really appreciated!

I love how these turned out and hope our family does as well.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 6

Good afternoon!

Since today is a double project day (because I couldn't not share a gratitude project today) I'm sharing a some quick gift bags I created using the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, Gift of Fall.  I do gifts around Thanksgiving so this kit had the perfect packaging plan so I made up three of the bags using the kit design and I'm planning on using the other three bags to make Christmas gift bags.  The great thing about this kit was that there was a add on kit available so you could use the elements in this kit to make cards my providing coordinating card bases and envelopes.  I'm using these as my Thanksgiving cards for friends and family so you'll have to wait a little longer to see those.

If you're not currently a Paper Pumpkin subscriber I highly suggest you give it a try, they are great monthly surprise kits with everything you need for easy crafting or you can sue the elements to create what you need.  I especially love these kits for crafting on the go and frequently throw a couple kits in my bag when I travel for a little fun without a lot of tools or mess.

Enjoy,

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC323: So Hoppy Together

Good morning!  I've been working on Valentine projects lately so they're on my mind so while I'm featuring the So Hoppy Together stamp set this week I decided to use these frogs to send valentine wishes and used this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge for the layout.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added Real Red as a mat for the Soft Suede cardfront which was embossed with the Big Shot and Oh My Starts Embossing Folder.

Next I used the So Hoppy Together to stamp this frog on Whisper White cardstock and used my Stampin' Blends to color him in (note, to help ground him I added some Crumb Cake at his feet so it looks like he's standing on dirt) and then cut him out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I used the same framelits to cut the mat oval out of Basic Black cardstock.

Now for the fun accents, I used the Big Shot and Be Mine Stitched Framelits to cut the little floral piece out of Crumb Cake cardstock (just wrap the cardstock so it matches the oval shape versus being straight) and then added a piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon behind the ovals.  I used the same framelits to cut the small heart out of Real Red cardstock and added some Rhinestones as accents.

The greeting is from this months Paper Pumpkin kit (which is totally adorbs and is exclusive to Paper Pumpkin subscribers which is why you need to be a member) and was stamped in Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the Classic Label Punch and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch is a small bow tied with Linen Thread.

I love how this card turned out and is perfect for dudes or if you don't want to go overboard with hearts, flowers, and pink (trust me I love all those things but not everyone I send cards to does) and this little frog looks like he's singing a love song perhaps?  Make sure to check out all the other great cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 26

Good morning!  We're back home and were able to get back to miss a lot of the traffic heading home from the extended holiday.  One thing that's always needed for those long road trips is a little coffee to keep you away and focused so I decided to use the Merry Café stamp set to make this fun holiday themed thank you card for today's gratitude card.

I started with Whisper White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Real Real Red cardstock for the cardbase and used the stamp set from the Merry Café stamp set to stamp the all over the cardfront using Real Red ink.  Next I took a piece of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper and matted it with Whisper White cardstock for a fun element.

For the main stamped image I stamped the coffee cup image in Basic Black on Soft Suede cardstock and the cup topper in Old Olive on Whisper White cardstock.  The greeting is stamped on Old Olive cardstock using a past Paper Pumpkin stamp set and I cut out all the pieces using the Big Shot and Coffee Cups Framelits.  Dimensionals were used on the lid to the coffee cup and the final touch was to add a bow using Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.

This is such a fun card and definitely channels the love of coffee shared by so many.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 25Po

Good morning!  When it gets cold out it always seems fitting to have cool holiday greetings so today's gratitude card is channeling that feeling.

I started with Island Indigo cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Gray cardstock that was stamped with the Post Script stamp set using Basic Gray ink.  I used the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits to cut out both the Whisper White circle and the Basic Black Scalloped Circle mat.  To stamp the greeting I used a stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin to stamp the background of repeating "thank yous" using Basic Gray ink and the large greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set and stamped in Island Indigo ink.

A few finishing touches, including some 7/8" Striped Ribbon, a tree cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Big Shot and Card Front Builder Thinlits.  I used the Carols of Christmas stamp set to stamp the little deer using Basic Gray ink and then cut it out with the same thinlits.  Lots of dimensionals were used to attach all the pieces to the cardfront.

This is another card design we made in a recent card class and I just adapted it for a thank you greeting and I love these colors which just a little peak of glitter (my favorite!)
