30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 25Po

Good morning!  When it gets cold out it always seems fitting to have cool holiday greetings so today's gratitude card is channeling that feeling.

I started with Island Indigo cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Gray cardstock that was stamped with the Post Script stamp set using Basic Gray ink.  I used the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits to cut out both the Whisper White circle and the Basic Black Scalloped Circle mat.  To stamp the greeting I used a stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin to stamp the background of repeating "thank yous" using Basic Gray ink and the large greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set and stamped in Island Indigo ink.

A few finishing touches, including some 7/8" Striped Ribbon, a tree cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Big Shot and Card Front Builder Thinlits.  I used the Carols of Christmas stamp set to stamp the little deer using Basic Gray ink and then cut it out with the same thinlits.  Lots of dimensionals were used to attach all the pieces to the cardfront.

This is another card design we made in a recent card class and I just adapted it for a thank you greeting and I love these colors which just a little peak of glitter (my favorite!)

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 19

Good evening!  You may have thought I forgot about today's gratitude card, nope!  It's been a busy day with my long run and then working on decorating for Christmas so it's perfect that today's card is Christmas themed.

I started with Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Whisper White cardstock for the cardfront.  Next I added a piece of Be Merry Designer Series Paper as well as a strip of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  Around the center of the card I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon.

The greeting is from the One Great Meaning stamp set and was stamped in Garden Green.  For the main element, remember how cute the cookie cutter stamp sets were with the coordinating punch?  I was so excited that the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set carried over along with the Cookie Builder Punch.  After stamping Santa in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock I colored him in using Stampin' Write Markers and then attached him to the cardfront with dimensionals.

Santa with the classic Christmas colors, along with a hint of wood texture really fit the bill to let someone know how much you appreciate what they've done.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 13

Good morning!  I'm back sharing today's gratitude card and today I have a super quick and easy card that we made at yesterday's Just Cards class.  I wanted to come up with a design that uses the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper but wasn't fall themed.

I started with Garden Green cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock for the cardfront.  To that I added a circle of DSP that I cut out using the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits and a coordinating pattern that's just a strip across the card.

Next I used the Badges and Banners stamp set to stamp the striped badge image in Cajun Craze ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and then punched it out with the Best Badge Punch.

The greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set and was stamped in Garden Green ink on Very Vanilla and then cut out with the Big Shot and Layering Ovals Framelits before attaching it with dimensionals.

A super easy card that you can whip up in a flash and doesn't take a lot of supplies.  This would be a great layout that if your also making mulitples that you could prep all the pieces in advance and then assemble while traveling, waiting for kids practices, etc.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 4

Good evening!  I'm a little late posting today's gratitude day but I've been spending a day with a friend who's in town for race weekend.  Today's gratitude card is a quick and easy Christmas card.

I started with Emerald Envy cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Next I added a strip of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper that was matted with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

For the greeting I used the One Big Meaning stamp set and stamped in Emerald Envy ink and then used the Oh, What Fun stamp set to stamp the swirly design using Cherry Cobbler ink.  I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch to punch out the top and then sponged around the edges using Cherry Cobbler ink.  A piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon makes a perfect top to the tag and then I attached the greeting to the cardfront with dimensionals.

The cool thing about this card is that if the recipient wants they could take the greeting off the card and use it for a book mark, now that's recycling!

SSINKspiration Anything But a Card: Disney Cruise Treats!

Good morning!  This summer is flying by, can't believe we leave on our cruise in a few short weeks.  I've mentioned before that we like to give little gifts to our servers and stateroom hosts who always make our trip so magical so for today's SSINKspiration blog sharing anything but a card I decided to share one of the treats I've made for the cruise.

I used the Popcorn Box Thinlits and cut the box out of Real Red cardstock and then used the Burlap stamp set to stamp some texture all over the box.  I used the 2 1/4" and 3/4" Circle Punches to punch the pieces for my Mickey head and then since this is a cruise I used the Seaside Embossing  Folder to add some waves.  I used the scallop trim die (in the same thinlit set) and some Silver Foil cardstock to cut some rick-rack pieces to decorate the top of the box.  The greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set and was stamped in Real Red on Whisper White cardstock and then cut out with the Classic Label Punch (I did sponge around the edges with Basic Black ink) and then attached the greeting with dimensionals.

To finish off the treats I used one of our gusseted cello bags, filled it with chocolates and then tied it with some Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (absolutely love this ribbon!!)

I haven't decided if I'm just going to make more of this same design for the gifts or do different one's (a lot will depend on my ability to pack these to arrive at the ship safely) but I love how cute this is and know little treats are always appreciated for the crew who work so hard!
