Peace 'N Love Dove

There is something about what this bird and branch symbolizes that touches me somewhere inside. Perhaps it's because there is so much strife in our lives and in the much bigger picture, this world.  The dove and olive branch together go back to at least the 4th Century.  (How's that for Old School?)

So I made a classic piece about peace and I put a bird on it.

You can find the dove and olive branch in my Etsy shop.  It can be worn as a pendant or used as an ornament.  If you need help wire wrapping to hang it, I can do that.  Find it here.

Santa Is In The House

You'd better watch out...oh wait, a little early for that.  But I am working on my holiday inventory for shows and my Etsy shop.   It's a crazy year this year, and I need any head start I can get.

So I popped this fun loving, striped trouser with suspenders hipster wannabe Santa into my etsy shop, in case you too, are trying to stay ahead.

You can find him here.  He would make a great miniature ornament or pendant, and he particularly enjoys hanging out near you on a desk or other flat surface to make sure you are behaving yourself.

Here's a hint:  I just turn him towards the wall, when I want to misbehave.  It works!

See you tomorrow. I'll be in New Jersey getting ready for Glass Stock East at Carlisle Machinery.  Can't wait to use their wonderful burners...(Santa, I'd really love a Lucio Burner for Christmas!)

There's No Business Like Snow Business

Sing along with me....there's no business, like snow business...

My little snow folk have been pretty popular, so I'm adding more to my Studio Marcy Etsy shop.  This little one's name is Chase.  He's got his handknit glass scarf and is ready to be adopted.  He can be worn or even used as a wonderful little Christmas tree ornament.

Time For Christmas Yet?

I guess I'm one of "those" who could skip Thanksgiving and go directly to Christmas. Yes, I'm thankful for so many things, and I do love turkey and apple pie, but I still love Christmas. I like giving gifts, and I love red and white and green together and best of all, I love the smiles that the holiday elicits.

So I know it's just November 1st and some of you will strongly disagree with me and discuss the commercialism of the holiday, etc. Point taken, agreed with and I understand completely.

I just wanted to say that I'm excited.

Crackers and Mini Me

I wasn't sure whether I had shown you one of my custom orders with the real deal. Meet Crackers and the little glass Crackers that I made. Sure love these orders and making their owners happy. My beads make great holiday ornaments, statues and of course, jewelry pendants. Contact me, if you'd like a special someone interpreted in glass too.
