Viva Espana

Good afternoon and welcome to my second post of the day.Over on the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity we have a new challenge, and it's a nice easy one for you, 'Anything Goes'. So this will either spark your creativity, or you will have the monkey in your brain playing the cymbals. I had the monkey, so I went with him.

I started by stamping the Carmen's Veranda Passport Background and then painting it in the colour of the Spanish Flag. Do you like my careful colouring!

Then I stamped the wonderful Matador Monkey which is also by Carmen's Veranda. I coloured him in Distress Markers and sparkle pens.

I printed the sentiment on the computer, added a bit of stitching and washi tape and we're all done.
So please join in with our challenge, remember 'anything goes' as long as it contains some stamping and it's a new unpublished project.
Have a wonderful March, and thanks very much for looking xx

Please pop on across to take a look, and have a very happy day xx

Good Day Sir!

Good afternoon and welcome to my second post of the day. It's time for a fun new challenge over at Lost Coast Designs, and from now until the end of the month the theme will be 'More Than 2 Legs' Here's my leggy tag.

I started by stamping and embossing Lost Coast Designs Loopy Caligraphy and clear embossing.

Now you know when people say 'there are no mistakes just happy accidents' I alway think 'really - you should see my bin and tell me what's happy about that', but today, I really did have a happy accident. The idea was to iron over the top of the embossing with some paper to remove the embossing powder, but this happened. Some of the paper stuck to the tag.
After behaving like Kevin the Teenager for about 20 seconds I thought that I would just carry on anyway and see how it ended up.

So I inked up the tag with Distress Inks, and decided that I really liked the extra grungy bits.

Then I stamped up my Miscellaneous Anthropomorphs.

To make them stand out a bit more I edged around them with white pen, then coated the tag with 3 layers of clear embossing powder. I decided that they looked like English gentleman at their club, so added the printed sentiment.

I hope that you pop across to the Portal, where you'll see lots more inspiration, and you can join in yourself for the chance to win Lost Coast $'s.

Have a very happy day, and thanks very much for looking x

Learning To Fly

Good afternoon and welcome to my second post of today.  We have a new challenge starting over at Lost Coast Designs, called 'I am Woman', and here's what I've made.

I started out by gessoing a tag and then roughly painting with Deco Art Media acrylics.

Then I rubbed through a stencil with a wet wipe to remove some of the paint.

Once dry I used a different stencil and went through with a fuchsia Portfolio pastel.
I stamped the Feather Diva With Face onto vellum and coloured lightly with pencils.  The Carmen's Veranda Fly clear stamp has also been stamped and embossed onto velum, torn around, then held in place with brads.

This is a really fun challenge and I hope that you join in. You don't have to use Lost Coast/Carmen's Veranda stamps (but we love it when you do)

Have a very happy Monday, and I'll see you later in the month xx

Merry Christmas From The Ass's

Good afternoon and happy Friday. It's not long now until Christmas, so here's a card I've made for our neighbours!

The background is Carmen's Veranda's Christmas Lights that's been coloured with glitter pens.

I've given the Ass Family some party hats - well it is Christmas! I hope they like it lol.

Please join in with our Christmas/Winter challenge, for the chance to win some Lost Coast $'s.

Thanks very much for looking, and have a wonderful Christmas xx

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Good afternoon and happy Tuesday. Christmas is now hurtling toward us verrrry quickly, so I thought it was time I made a card. Luckily the challenge this month at Lost Coast Designs is Winter/Christmas, so here's what I've made.

I've used the gorgeous Lost Coast Designs Megan's Christmas Bird, and coloured it with watercolours and lots of stickles.

Then just some matting and layering, and some die cuts for the sentiment.

Please join in with our challenge, you can never have too many Christmas cards (or tags or whatever), and if Christmas isn't your thing then the Winter theme is always good.

I'm also entering this into the challenges at That's Crafty - 'Tis The Season, Simon Says Stamp Monday - Christmas/Winter Holidays, and Craft Stamper TIMI challenge, anything goes.

Have a very happy week, and thanks very much for looking xx

And this is how it looks in my chippie album.

Good afternoon and happy Wednesday. Well, it's day 25 already of the 31 Days of Halloween, and it's my turn to share a project again over on the Lost Coast Designs Portal To Creativity.

This is another page in my cloth Lost Coast Designs album.

I've die cut a page on thick black card, and stamped the Carmen's Veranda Skulls and Bones Background and embossed with white.

Goth shrine has been stamped into various colours of UTEE and has been brushed over with gilding wax. Edgar has been stamped onto shrink plastic, and Nevermore Raven has been stamped and attached.

Please join in with our challenge for the chance to win Lost Coast dollars to spend in the store.

Have a great day, and thanks very much for looking x

American Gothic Meets 31 Days of Halloween

Good afternoon and happy Tuesday. It's day 24 of the 31 days of Halloween over at Lost Coast Designs and this time it's a family affair.

I started with the happy couple from American Gothic Party and coloured them with watercolour pens.

Of course all family portraits need a frame, so I stamped Carmen's Veranda's Cracked Mirror onto acetate.

I joined the two together with a couple of jump rings and added the chain. Then I decided to do a bit of a head swap, so used Skeleton and Roses and Skull Flourish

There's still time to join in with our challenge, so head off to the Portal and link up.

I'm entering my gruesome twosome into the That Crafty Get Your Spook On challenge.

Have a great week, and thanks very much for looking xx

Lost Hope

Good afternoon and happy Tuesday. Welcome to day 17 of the 31 Days of Halloween. The Lost Coast Designs DT is having great fun creating something every day during October, and today it's my turn again.

This is one of my very favourite stamps!

My tag is quite a large wooden one, and I've created the background with  DecoArt Fluid Acrylics and an old credit card.

I've stamped Goth Raven and embossed him in black onto a Gelli plate background.

Don't forget to check the Portal daily for new inspiration, and please join in with this, and the 'animal' challenges.

I'm entering my raven into the That's Crafty get your spook on, and the Craft Stamper TIMI anything goes challenges.

Have a fun week, and thanks very much for looking xx

Just Dance, Dance, Dance

Good afternoon,  happy Friday, and happy birthday to me! I know I'm very old, but I do still love birthdays, and Christmas. Yes, there I've said it, I love Christmas! Anyway to celebrate my birthday and day 13 of the 31 Days of Halloween over at Lost Coast Designs I've hired Justin and his backing dancers.

I've painted and stencilled the Tando chippies, the stamped and white embossed the Domino Shrine.
Next I've stamped and cut out the guys from Dancing Skeletons, and used my gelli plate to reverse stamp.

Aren't they happy chaps! They always remind me of the dancers in Strictly - I think the one on the right has Anton's smile!

As always we would love it if you joined in with our challenges, we currently have the 31 Days of Halloween, and Animals OR both!

I'm joining in with the Get Your Spook On challenge at That's Crafty,  Not A Card at Simon Says Stamp Monday, and the Craft Stamper TIMI Anything Goes.

Have a lovely day, and thanks very much for looking xx

You Looking At Me

Good afternoon and happy Sunday. It's day 8 of the 31Days of Halloween over at Lost Coast Designs, and I'm giving you the evil eye!

He's a bonny chap isn't he!

He's been made by die cutting a couple of tags and some stencilling.

And this is Evil Eye himself. He's been coloured with Aquatones to give him a good strong colour. The stringy bits are hot glue - I thought it looked like drool mmmmm.

So we have 2 challenges running, the 31 Days of Halloween, and Animals, so please get your spook on and join in!

I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge 'A walk on the dark side'

Have a fun (and spooky) week, and thanks very much for looking xx

Born To Stand Out

Helloooo and happy Wednesday, it's my turn to share my 'borders' project for the latest Lost Coast Designs event.

I've used glossy card and alcohol inks for the background.

Then I stamped Spray Webbing and embossed in white.
For my borders I've used Diamonds and Dominos.

I've paper pieced the middle guy from 3 Waiters and given him a hat from the Party Hats 2 set.
The sentiment is one of Carmen's Veranda clear stamps.

I've really enjoyed my play with border stamps this month, and of course they're not just for borders, I made a fab (if I do say so myself) background with the numbers here.

So now it's your turn, please join in with our fun challenge for the chance to win $'s to spend in the online store.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks very much for looking xx

Be Happy

Good afternoon and happy Wednesday. Today I'm sharing my second piece that I made for the Lost Coast Designs 'numbers' challenge.

I seem to have 2 types of projects, those that turn out something like they were in my head, and those that bear no resemblance. This one is pretty much what I had going on in my head (along with a squillion other things that are never going to save the planet, like boy bands of the 80's and Flearoy and Moose from the TV ads - I LOVE Flearoy and Moose!)

White cat in a snowstorm time! The border stamp has been diagonally stamped across the page, then clear embossed. I thought I could do a few lines at a time, but the ink dried too quickly, so I had to stamp a line and emboss, stamp a line and emboss....

It was worth it though, I love how it's turned out! The stamp is the Numbers Border and it's 8 inches long! I've sponged bright Distress inks over the top so the numbers really pop.

Then I've chomped bits out with dies, and mounted onto black card.

I made a Brusho background and stamped the wonderful Medium Doodle Feather. Although this is a really ornate stamp it's really easy to cut out.

And there we are. Feathers in place, and the Carmen's Veranda sentiment stamped onto a leftover bit of Brusho background.

You still have until the 25th to join in so come on and make the numbers up (sorry!)

Have a wonderful day, and thanks very much for looking x
