New Additions and a quick revamp to the shop

It was a busy Monday for us .. how about you all ? 

Today we spent the better part of the afternoon at our shop space. We took in all sorts of new vintage goodness and did a little revamping to our shop displays that were looking a little bedraggled after items have sold and left either empty spots or left the display lacking .. 

And as I said adding more vintage goodness to the shop space ..Here's a bunch of photos for you all to enjoy and if you're local be sure and hop on down and visit our shop space or run or drive or take the bus .. LOL .. whatever makes you happy and bring a few friends while you're at it !

 

 

 

 

 we recently sold out of our Pendelton, Irish Wool and Plaid Throws ... so I was thrilled to find a few more .. along with a vintage green and cream floral bed blanket with original tags .. A vintage Montgomery wards Western Field Stainless Thermos .. The cutest Plaid Flannel Purse .. a cool Western snap front Pendelton shirt and so much more !

Our Vintage Buffett got a whole new look today ... it's full of vintage Whites .. We have a beautiful 8 pc place setting of vintage white Scalloped Restaurantware ..  and some gorgeous vintage white pitchers.. or if you've been looking for those hard to find Ruffled Milk Glass Cake Plates .. we have a new one into the shop today !

And .. Some fun Christmasy Goodness

And Lastly .. new to the shop today is this stunning cocoa brown suede leather duster Coat with Ruffled trim ... size Med..  and in pristine condition ! Would make an amazing Christmas gift !

I went through our Antique Patriotic File today and found a few of my Favorite pieces to share with all of you ..

 

 

 

 

This First Piece is actually a little booklet with all the flags preceding our flag as we know and love it today . The Front cover is just beautiful ..and I love that it was actually a little giveaway booklet by Chase and Sanborn Tea and Coffee .. Gosh this was way back, when companies were not afraid to honor the America we live in !

 

I love the early 1900's cards with the Victorian women on them .. She is so beautiful with her sparklers ...and I must admit I love the color of the dress she is wearing ..

 



 

This piece being a post card ..I decided to share the back ..

Free Printable ~ Kitten in Basket Antique Advertising Card

 

Well it's a beautiful Saturday Afternoon .. The Sun is shining bright ..and well I have to admit it's Hot .. it's in the 90's here today and supposed to reach well near 100 degrees over the next few days.

 

So needless to say I'm staying inside.

 

It's been an amazingly busy week .. It seems for us it tends to be that way leading up to any special day or Holiday ..and Mother's Day is one of those busy times for us. In fact I got so busy that I had Jury Duty starting this last Monday .. and I completely forgot to call in until "Thursday" Night .. I was in a bit of a panic .. I didn't know what happened if you didn't call in and all I could think was "is there a warrant out for my arrest ?" .. you can laugh but that's what I thought. Well I called that night and it said to appear at 8:00 a.m. any morning within so many days at the courthouse .. So needless to say I wasn't waiting around ..Friday Morning I was at the courthouse at 8 sharp. I found out that I had to sit and wait to see if I would be called to serve that morning and the great thing was that being it was Friday they don't generally start trials so we were released by 10:30 yesterday morning. So now I'm good ..until they send me another summons ..which they send quite often .. I get them 2 to 3 times a year ..

 

So today I finally have a few minutes to just sit down and blog .. and thought this was a good time to share this week's "Free Printable"

Free Printables ~ Violets Scripture Card

 

 

Hi Everyone .. Well it's been quite a week here in the United States ..and Abbey and I would Like to say our Prayers are with all those in Boston and now in Waco TX,  Sometimes as individuals we feel or even say .. "All we can do is Pray" .. Prayer is one of our most powerful tools .. so it's not just "all we can do"  ..it is without doubt one of the most important things we can do. It's such a blessing to know that there are people near these situations full of schooling and wisdom to help those who are hurt or in need ..and it's a blessing to know that for those of us around the world that cannot be there to help physically we have prayer.

This week we are offering up as a free printable this beautiful Violets Scripture Card.

 

I love these old scripture cards... they are truly one of my favorite ephemera collections we have.

 

Each scripture card has a lovely bouquet of flowers or depicts a scene of birds or a house in the country etc and has a scripture from the Bible inserted somewhere on the card.

 

Be it My Bible, My Devotional, a Scripture Card such as this one .. Or the Beautiful Stairwell walls in our house that hold Framed  Antique Samplers with sayings such as Amazing Grace ~ It is Well With My Soul ~ or the decorative Iron crosses that hang with them .. it truly soothes my soul and reminds me that my hope is not in what is here on earth which is fleeting but my hope is in Christ and my eternity with him. This life rather it be short or long ... what matters in the end is how it was lived .

 

This would be beautiful framed ...Or couldn't you see this image added to the fronts of sweet little sachets filled with Lavender ..
