Christmas Holly Angel

Hello TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here today with a card to share using the Butterfly Kisses and Little Angels stamp sets.

Before I get to my card I wanted to wish Lisa a very Happy Birthday! We hope your birthday is as special as you are and is filled with love, laughter and that all of your wishes come true!

I just adore this sweet fairy image from Butterfly Kisses and wanted to see if I could use her for a Christmas card.

I stamped the fairy on pattern paper with Tsukineko's Versafine ink and cut her out using Spellbinder's Oval and Scalloped Oval dies.  I added tiny yellow roses to her wings.
The holly leaves are from the Little Angels stamp set. I stamped the image twice, colored them with copics (G40, G43, G46/R24, R27) and fussy cut them out. I added glitter glaze to berries for a bit of sparkle and dimension.
The sentiment is also from Little Angels
I finished off the card with some lace, ribbons and another paper rose.
The pattern paper is Echo Parks For the Record.

Here is a closer look at the stamp sets I used today.

Halloween Tag and Christmas Tree

Hi TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here today to share a couple projects with you.
My first project is a Halloween tag that I made to tie on a little bag of treats for my daughter.

The image is from Fall Fibi and Lilly and is colored with copics - YR12, YR15, YR16, YR18/V22, V25, V28/Y11, Y13/T1, T2, T3, T4, T4.
The tag was cut with a die from my stash as was the grass behind the image.
I used metallic vintage hemp cord to tie the tag to the treat bag and attach the button.

Here is a close up of the colored image. I added Glitter Glaze to the stars for dimension and sparkle.

My next project is a shape card made with Christmas Blessings which one of the newly released stamp sets.

To create the Christmas tree shape for the card base, I used the largest of the Spellbinders Pennants die.
Next I cut several scalloped borders using gold cardstock. I also cut out several lacy eyelet borders using pattern paper and then threaded green ribbon through the openings.
I adhered the borders to the pennant then trimmed the edges using the pennant as a guide.
The star and angel were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
The sentiment is also from Christmas Blessings

I finished off the card by adding little gold pearls to embellish the tree and sentiment.

Christmas Angel & A Dude!?

Hiya TCM Friends!

It's Sharri here to share a couple of cards with you today. I am getting a head start on my Christmas cards and want one I made using the newly released Little Angels set.
I stamped the angel with versamark and heat embossed with Tsukineko Gold Embossing Powder. After fussy cutting her out I added red pearls for the holly berries for a pop of color.

I popped the angel up on an embossed background which I framed using the largest SB Fleur De Lis Square die. The sentiment is also heat embossed. I really like the Tsukineko Embossing Powders for heat embossing sentiments because it is very fine detail and the letters are always readable.

My next card is a fun one!
I combined the Lovely Labels 18 set with the Lets Face It set to create a fun masculine card.
I began by stamping the eyebrows, mustache, mouth and hat on white card stock and cut the face out with a SB Circle die and fussy cut the hat. I stamped the polka dot frame and cut it out with a SB Labels 18 die.

I finished off the face by adding enamel dots for the eyes and nose. My daughter thinks he looks like the guy on the can of Pringles chips and my husband thinks he looks like the snowman that narrates the Frosty the Snowman show that is always on TV around the holidays. Maybe I should make a few more cards like this only using Christmas colors ;^)

Forever Faithful

Welcome TCM Friends!

It's Sharri with you today to share a card using a couple of the new stamp sets, Choose Hope and Folk Art Blooms
I tried to go with a CAS but as you can see I ended up adding a few layers ;)

The sentiment and butterflies are from the Choose Hope set. I wanted to add a flight pattern for the butterflies so I pulled out one of the little flourishes from Folk Art Blooms.

Vintage Bundle

Hello TCM Friends!

It's Sharri here with you today to share a card I made using the new Vintage Baby set.  I love all things vintage and the vintage carriages in this set are no exception! They are gorgeous!
I tried to keep with the vintage feel of the carriage for my card.

I began my card by picking out the pattern papers from My Minds Eye Miss Caroline - Fiddlesticks. I stamped the tag on the lightest pieces of pattern paper then fussy cut it out. I also used the same papers to cut out the doily. To create the matting behind the tag, I lightly traced around the outside of the stamp with a pencil and then cut it just outside of the traced line.

I added some lace, ribbon and a vintage brad to complete the card.
What do you think? Did I achieve that vintage feel I was going for?

Here is a closer look at the stamp set I used today.

So Blessed...

Hello TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here with you today to share a couple cards.
Next week the U.S. celebrates it's Independence on July 4th which inspired me to create a card with a patriotic feel to it.
The sentiment is from the Beautiful Roses stamp set which was just released last week!
The fun pattern papers that I used for the banners, star and pinwheel is from Bo Bunny's Liberty pack. I wanted a pattern on both sides of the paper for my pinwheel so I added strips of Washi Tape on the back of the paper before I cut out the pinwheel. The back ground is embossed with the Tiny Stars embossing folder by Paper Studio.

My next card uses images and a sentiment from the Simply Delightful.
I stamped the solid flower in from the set and then stamped the outline flower over it with blue.
The pattern papers are from Authentique called Genuine. I added a button and a pearl flourish to finish off the card.

Here are the sets that I used -

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

True Friends

Hello TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here to share a friendship card with you today.

I used the Cherished stamp set for my focal image. I stamped the full image on a piece of  pattern paper with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I stamped the image a second time on Xpress It Blending paper and colored just the flowers with copics, YG61, YG63, YG67/ YR30, YR31, Y23. I cut out the flower image and adhered  it on top of the image stamped on the pattern paper. Don't you think softer colored background really made the flowers pop?

I added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers. I did not have black rhinestones so I colored clear rhinestones with my N9 copic marker.

The sentiment is from the Inspired by Audrey set. I stamped the sentiment on the same pattern paper that I used for the focal image. I cut the image out using a Spellbinders Labels 28 die. I wanted a mat for the sentiment but did not want to use the next sized die. I'll share a little trick with you ;^)
I wanted the mat to be 1/4" so  I traces the outside of the same die that I used to cut out the sentiment then fussy cut it.

I finished off the card with lace I found at an antique store and a bow I made using crinkled seam binding ribbon which I topped off with a vintage brad.

Here are the stamp sets that I used:

Celebrate Today

Hello! It's Sharri here with you today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
The card I am sharing today is one I made for the last day of the April non-release festivities. I was not able to participate in the festivities on the 21st as my daughter went into labor that Friday night and I did not have chance to get to a computer to finish my post in time so I saved it to share with you today :^)

I used 3 stamp sets on my card, Beautiful Spring, Timeless Tags and Good Times
I stamped 4 butterflies from the Beautiful Spring set with versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I sponges yellow and different shades of orange ink on the butterflies wings and brown on the body before cutting them out.

I adhered 2 of the butterflies to the middle panel of the card. I layer the other 2 butterflies on top but only added adhesive to the bodies and folded the wings up to create the illusion of fluttering wings. It also added dimension to the card.

The sentiment is from Good Times and I stamped it inside the one of the tags from the Timeless Tags set. I cut it out with the corresponding Spellbinders Grommet Tag die.
The pattern papers are from My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing Collection called Tangerine.

Here is a look at the sets I used:

Thanks!

Hello TCM Friends!
It's Sharri here with a colorful card to share with you today.
It's that time of year when spring fever starts to hit many people that are in the middle of the cold winter season - me for one! LOL!
I love the bright colors of spring and with spring fever in full swing, I decided used bright spring colors for my card.

I used the newly release Many Thanks stamp set along with the butterflies from Butterfly Kisses.  The papers are from an older Cosmo Cricket paper pack called Pixie-licious. I added an embossed panel behind the sentiment for interest.

I finished off the card with a few rhinestones to accent the sentiments and butterflies.
Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by!

Welcome Jen, Sharri and Veronica to Team TCM!!!

Hello again! Today I'm introducing you to three more of our newest Design Team members... the fabulous Jen del Muro, Sharri Seffens and Veronica Zalis!!! Please join me in giving these ladies a warm TCM welcome!!!

Howdy!  I'm Jen del Muro.  I live in North Texas (Flower Mound to be exact) with my hubby, 2 kiddos, 2 dogs, and a sly black cat.  I have a passion for all things paper crafting, especially stamping...of course!  I'm not sure when my love for paper crafting began, but once I was introduced to stamping, I was hooked.  I try to create something almost everyday (yes, really).  My favorite part of crafting, besides the awesome and ever changing product selections/choices, is the people.  I have become connected with so many wonderful people through this craft and am thankful for their friendship and talent they share.  I am so happy to be a part of The Craft's Meow team and look forward to sharing my creations with you!

Hi everyone! My name is Sharri Seffens and I am thrilled to be a part of The Crafts Meow Team! Thank you Lisa!

I live in Stoughton, Wisconsin and work full time as an IT Project Manager. I am married to a wonderful man who is also my best friend. We have two 2 beautiful daughters ages 26 and 10. Ashley will be blessing us with our first grandchild in the spring, 2013! I started paper crafting shortly after the birth of Abbi and fell in love instantly. I love all styles and let my mood decide which one I go with for each card I make. I love this hobby and am grateful to be a part of this amazing community of crafters, the people I have met, and the friends I have made.  I am really looking forward to inspiring everyone with TCM stamps!

Hello! My name is Veronica Zalis and I live in Southeast Oklahoma. I am a stay-at-home mom of two beautiful little boys. I have been married to my best friend and biggest cheerleader for 9 years.  I was invited to a neighborhood card swap in Texas in 2003, and I have been a cardmaker ever since. I have made many wonderful crafty  friends along the way and look forward to making many more!

I know these ladies, along with Gayatri Murali and Lin Brandyberry (announced yesterday), will be a great addition to our TCM family! I am beyond thrilled to welcome them to our team!!! Am I lucky or what? :)

Thanks so much for stopping by. We'll be back on Saturday to celebrate World Card Making Day with all of you so please stay tuned!
