What's Poppin?

Hello everyone! It's my day to post at My Craft Spot and I have a card to share that I did using the Tasty Treats stamp set!

Don't you just LOVE that face?!?! I can't help but to smile when I see it :D

I actually used my CRICUT for the cuts on this card! I haven't used it in so long I almost forgot how to. LOL!
I cut the corn using Smiley Cards and stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Cornies face stamp. I used a Copic marker and a white gel pen to add some kernels of corn to him. I also tied some Olive Jute String in a bow around the bottom.
The popcorn was cut from Slumber Party and I pop dotted it to the card.
I stamped the sentiment using My Craft Spot's Tasty Treats stamp set and added a bow to the side.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my card and thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Day 2 Of My Craft Spots Fall Release Party

Hello everyone and welcome to day 2 of the My Craft Spot Sneak Peeks! Make sure you go on over to My Craft Spot everyday this week for oodles of cute projects and giveaways DAILY! All of the new stamp sets will be available on Saturday!
I made these fun treat holders for today's project. These would be so cute for kids treats to take to school or even hand out from home.
The base is a really simple pocket. To create the pocket, cut a 2 1/2 X 9 inch strip of cardstock and score at 6 inches. Cut pattern paper 1/4 inch smaller and glue down, and then glue the sides to create pocket.
I decorated 3 different examples. All of them include a drink stick in the pocket that I added black crinkle ribbon bows with tags stamped from the new Spooky Treats stamp set. Isn't that font so cool!?! I also gave you an extra sneak peek from yesterdays stamp set Stampin' Around Fall....that little spider on the tag.
The spider was cut from Smiley cards and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen face stamp. I also added a spiderweb punched border to it. The witch's hat was cut from Happy Hauntings and the skull sign from Mini Monster.
Thank you for stopping by today and don't forget to head over to My Craft Spot to see some more awesome projects and for the giveaway for today! Have a great day!

My Craft Spot "Cool Treats" Challenge

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at My Craft Spot! This week the challenge is " Cool Treats". When I think of a cold treat, I see a nice cold strawberry margarita! MMMMM....SO YUMMY! LOL! It happens to be my birthday today AND I have fresh strawberries! I think I might just have myself a birthday treat!
This was a really fun card to make! I created the card in my gypsy by welding two martini glasses together from Smiley Cards. I then cut the inside mat and inked a soft blue around it. For the inside pink I cut another inside layer and trimmed it down, tore the top, and used a corner rounder on the bottom. I then inked it with black and then white to get that cool speckled look. I cut the strawberry from Paisley and embossed it and inked white over the embossing. The straw I cut by hand and added a line of chunky glitter for the sugar....gotta have the sugar! LOL! To finish I stamped the tag and added a crinkle and twine bow.
SUPPLIES:
My Craft Spot- Inside and Out #2 stamp set, Spring Moss Crinkle Ribbon, Divine Valentine Twist Twine
Cricut- Smiley Cards and Paisley
Cuttlebug Embossing folder- Swiss Dots

I hope you all like my card and will play along this week! Please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created! I promise you won't be disappointed! Have a great day!

I stamped the cloud background and the swirl under the bee. The bee was cut from Wild Card 2 and I stamped the face. The flower was cut from Smiley cards and I stamped that face also. The pink flower part and the bee's wing I mounted to pop dots. I pleated crinkle ribbon for the grass and stamped the sentiment.

Cruise Survival Kit

Hello everyone! I have a fun project to show you that I did for my Sister In Law...aka...my best friend. She is going on her first cruise next week for work. She gets PAID to go on a cruise! Lucky duck! LOL! This is a "just for fun" send off for her.
I made this Cruise Survival Kit for her. I cut the tote bag from TBBM and added some decorative paper and ribbon to it. The octopus was cut from Create A Critter and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids face. The sentiment tag was printed off my computer and I used circle punches to get the tag. The inside is where I had lots of fun! I cut the sun and garbage can from Smiley Cards and stamped the faces with PK Happy Lashes and Happy New Year assortment. The bottle was cut from Slumber Party and I stamped the face with a PK Happy New Year face. The lip balm tag I cut by hand and stamped the lips and sentiment from PK's Kiss Me Leprechaun set. I hand wrote a little note on the back of each tag, all starting with " SO YOU DON'T..."
The sun/sunblock- "Get Scorched!"
The garbage can/pocket bac- "Catch Some Crazy Virus!"
The bottle/drink sticks- "Get Parched!"
I love how this turned out and I think it is so funny! I know she's going to love it and get a good laugh out of it too.
I am going to enter this into Peachy Keen's challenge this week which is a color inspiration from the following picture:
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Happy Hello

Good morning everyone! Here is the card that I made for Peachy Keen's Just Card's Faux Stitching challenge. I had so much fun making this card and I just LOVE how cute it is. Then again, anything with a PK face is cute to me! LOL!
I used my Imagine and Loris Garden for all the colored paper in this card. The bunny was cut from Simply Charmed and I hid the entire face to just make it a plain bunny. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp and did a faux stitching line around him. I also used colored pencils for the highlights on the carrot. The sun was cut from Smiley Cards and I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Happy Lashes face and added a faux stitching line around him as well. The grass and fence were cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and I hand punched the flower. I used a black and white pen for the centers on the flowers and did a faux stitching line around the entire card as well as the sentiment tag. The sentiment is from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments.
I hope you all like my card and thanks for looking! Have a great Sunday!

Heard You're Feeling "RUFF"

Good morning everyone! Before I get to my card I just want to say THANK YOU to all the men and women that help protect our country everyday. I also want to say that I will never forget the tremendous service these people provided us on 9/11. God Bless You All!
This is the card that I made to enter into Tacky Tuesdays challenge. This time the challenge is to use a dog and the words "RUFF" or "WOOF".
I cut the dog from Everyday Paper Dolls at 3.5 inches and stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed face stamp. I didn't want the tear so I masked that off before I stamped it. I chalked around the edges and used a black and white pen to do the highlighting. The thermometer was cut from Smiley Cards and the bed was cut from Four Legged Friends. I printed the sentiment off my computer and added "tissues" to his bed. I did this by cutting small squares of tissue paper and crumpling them up to look like a tissue. I pop dotted the top layer of the bed and glued the tissues in between the layers.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

No Monkey Buisness

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made for More Than Favors CCCC challenge. This week the challenge is to use Sweethearts.
I made my card using the scallop square from Accent Essentials in my Gypsy by welding 2 together. For the mats I used the rounded square from George and Basic Shapes. One I cut slightly smaller for the mat. I cut the monkey from Sweethearts. I chalked all around his body and his cheeks. I used a white and black pen to do the highlights and mounted his face on pop dots. The bananas were cut from Smiley Cards and I chalked around the edges, used a white gel pen and a brown colored pencil for the hightlights. I also mounted the bananas on pop dots. To finish I did dots around the outside of the card, stamped the sentiment, and hung the monkey from some chocolate truffle twine.
I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for looking!

For my banner/wall decoration, I did this cute sun! I figured this would be something that would make just about anyone smile when they saw it. I cut the sun from Smiley Cards at 11 inches. The smaller sun's were cut at 2 inches and the font was cut from Birthday Bash at 1.5 inches. I assembled the banner by cutting different lenghts of ribbon and staggering them by punching a hole in the big sun and smaller ones and then tying a knot in each side. I did add some scotch tape to the backs of the smaller sun's just to reinforce them.

Hello everyone! Here is the card that I made for M.A.G. Challenge By The Page's challenge. This week the challenge is to use Smiley Cards, page 54. You can ONLY use the Cricut cuts on that page. You can use any other embellishment but no other Cricut cuts. I welded 2 conversation box's together in my Gypsy to make the card and cut 2 slightly smaller ones for the mats. I trimmed off the point to just get the inside mat. I cut the Howdy and the emoticon and layered him on top of the O using pop dots. I used my black pen for stitching around the outside, the hat and face, and a white gel pen for the highlights. I hope you all will check out M.A.G. It's fun and a real challenge. Have a great day!

Funny Father's Day Card

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Whimsical Wednesdays! This week the challenge is Fathers Day. I think this card is so funny and I made it with my Dad in mind so it makes it more funny for me so you'll have to bear with me! :)

For the card base, I used a card from Smiley Cards cut at 10 inches high and 1/4 inch smaller for the card mat. The skunk was cut from Camping Critters at 3.5 inches and I stamped the sentiment which is from Scrappy Mom's Furry Friends set. The "Dad" was also stamped from a set from Michaels. For the inside of the card I printed the (but don't forget to spray) off my computer and stamped the Happy Fathers Day. The frog I cut at 2 inches and omitted the flies in that cut. Hopefully some of you will think this is kind of funny because when I showed it to my 18 year old son, he looked at me like I fell of my rocker!

This week our sponsor is Joy from Joy's Life! One random winner will win the stamp set called Your So Punny. Clich here to visit Joy's product page. Thanks Joy!

I sure hope that you will give this challenge a try and I can't wait to see what you'll create! Have a great day!
