Pop-up Card

Pop-up Card - I have one card for 2 teams for you this morning.

The first one up is Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge there is More than 1 fold and we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.

My other team is Alphabet Challenge Blog and our challenge there is Y for young. We are to create a card for someone young.

My card is a pop up one. I like this design because it folds flat and is still easy to mail. I won't be mailing this one. It is for a little 3 year old sweetie, that is staying with my daughter.

This is a free standing pop up card. You can find a great tutorial here.

I have used Sleeping Beauty Sassy for my image. Isn't she adorable? I colored her with Copics. Her mat is punched with MS punch around the page and I added to heart gemstones.

My sentiment is heat embossed with gold and the border is heat embossed with Pink Princess embossing glitter.

The flower is a Susan's Garden. I added some Stickles to it.

Arctic Wolves

Arctic Wolves - Today's challenge at Creative Card Crew is to use ribbon on your card or project. I use ribbon on almost all my creations, so this is an easy one for me.

I recently was at a Stampin Up party and the SU lady showed us this mini Album. All of us, were intrigued by the fold. I think there is a little bit of an engineer in us. It is really very simple.

You need 2 pieces of paper cut at 4 X 11 inches and one cut at 8 X 8 inches.

The 8 X 8 is scored at 4 inches both ways. Then diagonally one way.

Both of the 4 X 11 is scored at 4, 4 1/2, 8 1/2, and 9.

Fold all scored lines. You are now ready to put it together.

On the 2 4 X 11 pieces and attach them at the center area. Use one of the end 4 inch areas and attach it to one of the 4 inch squares on the 8 X 8 inch square.

That's it. You are now ready to decorate and fold it. As long as you put the big square in first, it really doesn't matter which order the flaps go in to.

Here it is all opened up.

I used double sided paper and then just stamped on some ivory paper with Faded Jeans distress inks.

I believe all of my stamps are Inkdinkado. I also used Frayed burlap distress inks on the edges of all my papers.

Some simple gemstones finished up the inside of my mini Album.

I left lots of room to add photos.

My papers are GCD Studios Ella Blue. This is the paper that I fondled every time I went into Hobby Lobby until about a year later, I finally bought it. So now I can fondle it at home. LOL

Did you notice my hot pink cast? I did not break anything,  but I have had some swelling since November. If keeping it immobile doesn't work, then we go to surgery. Pray for me. I have chronic pain from a surgery that didn't go well.

I can't tell you what a joy it was to ink everything with this horrible cast. LOL

My image is Delicious Doodles (our sponsor)  Lycaonia. Some of the images are haunting in their intensity.

I have their pirate map image and every little boy who comes over, we make a treasure map with it. The boys love that they get to tear, then crumble it and then pound it with distress inks.  They feel like leather when it is done. Every little boys dream.

I added eyelets to the front folds and laced ribbon through it, to hold the mini album closed. The bow looks terrible, but it is the best that I can do with the cast.

The flowers are random ones from my stash, mostly stems.

Spooky Cute

Spooky Cute - I have made a tee pee card for Creative Card Crew's fancy folds challenge. It is the first time that I have made one and it was easier than I thought it would be and it is a very card to see.

This is the card opened. The construction is very easy.

My image is Stamp Fairies (our sponsor) Mimi Halloween. Isn't she adorable?

Mimi is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles to her pitchfork, tail, horns and hair ties. After cutting out the image I inked with worn lipstick distress inks.

My sentiment is SU four frames stamp and I hand drew the works. I then used the SU matching punch.

My DP is Making Memories Note Worthy. I added 3 pink gemstones to the right side of

each of the "legs." Did you notice the pink tulle behind the image?

On this side of the tee pee, I added flowers that were cut with a SB flower. They were cut, shaped and then given a center that was pulled off a stem. My then 2 year old grandson helped me pull them off the stem. He thought that was the greatest thing in the world to get to tear up the flower stem. LOL

There is a MD swirl in there amongst the flowers. I added a pink ribbon and eyelets to make the tie to hold the card together.

On this side I used a MF tissue paper ruffle and a CL die with more pink gemstones.

I made a stickpin to add to the ruffle.

I hope you liked my tee pee card and will check out all the awesome folds that my team mates at Creative Card Crew have done.

Carousel Steps

Carousel Steps - Today's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is stair step cards. This one is a side step card. If you don't know how to make one of these, there are some great tutorials on them. I went to many different ones; as I was making this card.

My DP is DCWV All Dressed Up. I love this color combo. The blue is such an awesome blue and I love the glitter in the paper. My sentiment is Hot Off the Press. I added 2 gemstones and two bows with pearls.
My image is Carousel Zee by Sew Many Cards. Angela is the creative artist behind Sew Many Cards. She has some really cute images.

Zee is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles to the canopy. The black swirls are a Studio G stamps and I used my black pearl pen by Viva Decor.
My second card uses the new dollar deal. This image of pies was so fun to color.

My DP is ARD All Through the Year. My punch is a MS. Stamp is Autumn Leaves and was cut with a Spell Binders.
I added some "sugar" to the top of the pies.
