Big Dreams

Big Dreams - Time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week is all about the sweet and wonder babies! Show us your love of babies!

My designer paper is MME, Flair. I used the Make It Market kit form PTI. This one is the sprinkle and Sparkle kit. It has all the dies and things to make gorgeous shaker boxes. Even the sprinkles!

My image is Saturated Canary and was colored with Copics.

Girly Girl?

Girly Girl? - It is time for another challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is to laugh. When I looked at this image, I just knew that I wanted to make a girly card for a girl who was anything but girly.

I had one little girl in my Sunday School class, who would arrive each Sunday in the most delicate dresses, complete with white gloves. And each Sunday she would be wrestling with the boys. Her appearance was such a contradiction in her actions and it would just crack me up.

So here is my little "princess" in all her glory, covered in mud. I have color Saturated Canary's "Nothing in my hands" image with Copics. I cut her with a SB die.

DP is Authentique's Classique and Pretty.

The challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is to use lace. I had some black lace in my stash to use. I placed it in the middle of a border cut with a MS punch. The vine swirl is CL. The flowers are HC and I used Worn Lipstick distress inks in the centers, then finished the flowers off with a black pearl pen.

My sentiment is hand written, then punched with SU punches.

Tears

Tears - It is Friday and time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog
Our Challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is sponsored by Floppe Latte Designs. Our challenge is to use a recycled element on your project. Do you see it on mine?

My image is Not my Day by Saturated Canary. Our challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is paper piecing. I colored her and the shadows on my Recollections Designer paper, with Copics. I paper pieced all of the blue except her hair ties. I even paper pieced her tear.

I have had problems mastering ethnic skin, but I am pleased with the way this one came out. She is such a sweet image. I loved doing her hair.

I added lots of Frantage to the image and papers after inking them with Broken China and Worn Lipstick distress inks.

Did you find my recycled item. The above photo is what I started with and I turned it into the wrought iron fence below. I opened the can with scissors, then used a SB die to cut it. I used my Copics to turn it black.

I finished off the  card with some flowers, ribbon (tied using my Bow Easy,) and a stick pin. I made this stick pin for the stick pin swap that I did on CDAC. I even made the little charm on it. It is shrink art by Darice.

Sweeping Through

Sweeping Through - This is my DT card for Creative Card Crew. Our sponsor for this challenge is Scrapping Center. A great place to get your crafting goodies. Not only for paper crafting, but for all crafts.

Our challenge for this fortnight is NO DESIGNER PAPERS. I didn't realize how dependant I am on my papers to formulate my projects. I found myself just staring at my image, thinking what colors do I use?

My image is Saturated Canary's "Sweet Oklahoma." Sweet Oklahoma was created by Krista as a fund raiser, to help my daughter rebuild after she lost her house in the recent tornado that struck my town of Moore Oklahoma.

The fund raiser is now over, but the image is really cute and a great one to have in your collection.

I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her bow and Diamond Glaze to her boots. You can't see the Diamond Glaze on the boots, but they feel like plastic boots.

I put some white ink on my brick embossing folder, then ran some navy card stock through it . I like the effect. Without the ink, the design got lost in the depth.

I finished of the card with a ribbon, tied with my Bow Easy and a charm attached. The dots on top of the image are Dew Drops.

Rainbows in a Storm

Rainbows in a Storm - Many of you know that I live in Moore, Oklahoma that was recently hit by a tornado.  My daughter lost her home in the storm. If you haven't read my story you can find a link to the post on my right side bar. You can also see my grandson's TV interview by clinking on that link, also in the sidebar.

Krista Smith of Saturated Canary did a wonderful and touching thing. She created this image and sold it for one dollar, last Friday only and is donating the money to my daughter, to help her rebuild.

The image is named Sweet Oklahoma and is available at full price in Krista's here. The money won't go to my daughter, but you can still spread the word that we need help, by using the image.

My card today is my DT card for Crafts 4 Eternity. The challenge is spots and stripes. You can find both spots and stripes in the banners that top the card. There is also spots and stripes in the patchwork on the umbrella.

My designer paper is Summer Soul by Fancy Pants Designs. I liked the swirls. We know about rain swirling around you. LOL

The papers were inked with Tumbled Glass distress ink.

Here is a close up of the image - Sweet Oklahoma. I colored her to look like my daughter Lindsay. Lindsay's favorite color is pink and she is a shoe horse. She liked the sparkly boots. I knew it was something  that she would wear!

I had this sentiment by Inkadinkado and thought it was perfect for us. We have much to be thankful for. I used a SU punch to cut it with.

The banner was fussy cut from the Summer Soul papers. I added Baker's Twine in Blue Lagoon

Magnet Board

Magnet Board - I have a really fun Altered Art project for you today.

This week is teacher appreciation week at my grandson's school and I was tasked with coming up with little gifts for his really awesome teacher.

Alison, my Stampin Up demonstrator,  had made a really cute magnet board and several of us at my Wednesday crop group were really taken it. You can see Alison's magnet board here.

Alison was really great about helping me to figure out workable solutions to some of the challenges in creating this. It was her idea to look at the Dollar Tree for something metal that would be a good foundation.

This project is my DT project for 2 teams.

Alphabet Challenge Blog challenge is G for Gemstones and glitter. I used lots of gemstones and my black Spica pen for some glitter on the image.

My other team is Crafts 4 Eternity and we are sponsored by Floppy Latte. The challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity  is a fun Tic Tac Toe board.

I used center across line of Inking, Use Scraps, and 3 of something. All of these can be found in my flowers. I also used the diagonal line of ribbon, scraps and bling or you could go down with pink (in image,) 3 of something, and bling.

My image is Saturated Canary's Starla. She was colored with Copics and my black Spica pen.

My designer paper is Paper Studio.

My blue flowers were made using this wonderful tutorial from Norma Lee. Her flowers are amazing. I encourage everyone to pop over to her blog and spend some time drooling.

I used Peacock Feathers distress ink. It looks really blue. If you look close at the middle flower, you will see some yellow that separated from the blue on the tips.

The flowers were made with scraps. I made almost all of my cards 5 1/2 by 5 1/2  and I cut off 3 inches from my foundation card stock that is 11 by 8 1/2, so I have lots of those 3 inch strips. There is also a blue gemstone in the center of each flower.

I used a very pale aqua lace for the outer trim of my plate. I used a row of black rose ribbon on the inner rim. It is on a inward curve and doesn't really show up with the camera, but IRL it is lovely.

I used my SB to make the swirls and added a ribbon rose to each side of the aqua flowers.

The blue butterfly has been in my stash for quite a long time. My grandson really liked it and he was allowed to put it where ever he wanted on the project.

Tyler also placed the wire butterfly.

The hanger is a ribbon that the white stitching was colored with a Copic, so that it would match.

The magnets are card stock punched several times and built up to add some strength and glued to a magnet. Tyler then added the gemstone embellishment.

Tyler really wanted this butterfly as one of the magnets.

I hope that you and Tyler's teacher like it!

So Sweet

So Sweet - Pastel colors is our challenge for you this week at One Stop Craft Challenge. We are sponsored by Crafty Cat 957.

My DP is MME Market Street. If you visit my blog often then you know that this is one of my favorite DP pads. I have used it a lot.

My image is Lily Bo Peep by Saturated Canary. I colored Lily with Copics and added Stickles to the bows and bodice of Lily's dress. I also added some Stickles to the band on her socks and her hair barrette.

The bow is seam binding that I dyed with Copic reinker. It was tied using my Bow Easy. The stick pin is made with several beads from my stash.

The ribbon rose is SU and I used my Worn Lipstick distress ink to add a bit of color to it.

The sentiment is SU and I used a banner die cut. The pink pearls were made with a pearl pen.

Dressed Up

Dressed Up - Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is Egg-cellent Easter. We wan to see Easter themed projects. Some lucky person is going to win 3 digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity.

For my image, I used Saturated Canary's Easter Dress. Isn't she adorable? I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her bows and the lace in the back of her dress. I gave the bunny some Polar White Flower Soft on his tail.

My ribbon bow was tied with my Bow Easy. The flowers are Melissa Frances and the big pink one is Pizzazz Aplenty; as is most of the beads in the stick pin.

My DP is from a Season pad that I have had in my stash for about 5 years. The sentiment is a yard sale find that was punched with a SU ticket punch. the blue layer was hand cut.

I finished off the card with 3 pearls in each of the upper corners.

Secret

Secret - Wohoo! it is time for another challenge at Creative Card Crew. This fortnights challenge is masculine projects. We all know how difficult those can be to make, but the team really knocked it out of the ball park. How it that for a masculine metaphor?

I made a secret message card for my grandson. He love sports of all kinds and what little boy doesn't love a secret compartment.

My image is Give Big Boy by Saturated Canary. I colored him with Copics.

My Designer Paper is Karen Foster, Sports.

My slider is SU and you can barely see my sheer ribbon. It is a bale blue.

When you open the gate fold you see this messages, but wait, open the inside and ....

New Mom

New Mom - It is time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge this week is Marvelous Mums and we are sponsored by Crafts 4 Eternity.

I made this card for my DIL, who is expecting her first child. We are thrilled and were very happy to hear that it is a girl. Kaylee will be here in July and we are so excited. We have 5 grandsons, but no granddaughters. Finally, a princess!!!

My DP's are MME, Lost and Found, Market Street. I love the pinks and blue/greens. Such soft colors. All papers and image was inked with Tea Dye distress ink.

My image is Saturated Canary's New Baby, This new mom looks so tired. As, we all know, that is how new mothers always feel.

I colored Amanda and Kaylee with Copics. Then I added some Stickles to the hair tie  earring, eye shadow, belt and the pom poms on the baby's blanket.

My embellishment is Recollections. It is one that I have been hoarding. Only Kaylee could coax it out of my stash.

Frizzy Love

Frizzy Love - One Stop Craft Challenge has issued a new challenge to you, fellow crafters!! We want you to show us your Love is in the Air projects. Can you met this challenge? If so them after you finish reading my blog post, head straight to One Stop Craft Challenge and enter!

My Designer's Papers are MME, Moments.

We are sponsored by the adorable images of Saturated Canary. I love Krista's images; they are all so cute. I really liked the hair on this one, which is called Frizzy Jynx. Do you think she is as unruly as her hair is? I bet she is!!! When I seen this image, my first thought is that is a girl that only a mother could love, but OH Boy, would that mother ever love her! LOL

Frizzy Jynx is colored with Copics and her headband, heart pocket and a touch of her collar recieved some Stickles. Even a girl with this much mischief needs bling!

I used a SB die to make the hearts and a yellow pearl pen to make the tiny yellow pearls.

My sentiment and pother punches are SU.
