It's an exciting time of year, when my TTM envelopes are coming back in waves, probably secondary to players signing their mail before the end of the season.  

Bill Landrum is a former pitcher, mostly known for pitching for the Pirates.  He spent 1988 with the Cubs, but did not have a card made.

A week's worth of PWE

I have taken on a new TTM strategy for this baseball season.  Instead of waiting to get a bunch back before I sent out more, I have decided that once a week, I'll send out three envelopes...one to a MLB player, one to a MiLB player, and the final one will be to a former player.  My early evaluation of this new strategy has been positive.  It's been nice to see at least one or two PWEs a week.  I may reevaluate soon and maybe send out six instead of three, but we'll see.

Brian Dayett is a former Cub.  I have known he was a pretty good TTM signer, but I have never owned enough of his cards to send a request out until now!

Orlando Merced

This was a another card I got in a repack.  I always liked the early Score cards.  Orlando Merced is best known for his playing time with the Pirates, but after leaving the Pirates, he skipped around to many different teams, for mostly one year stints.

Kevin Kramer is a second basemen in the Pirates organization.  He's currently playing in the AFL with the Glendale Desert Dogs.  He spent most of the 2017 season with Altoona, the Pirates AA team.

Travis Snider

Travis Snider was with the Royals farm team in Omaha.  He was released from the Storm Chasers on July 31.  He played in 84 games and hit .245 for the Storm Chasers.  I hope he lands somewhere else and gets another chance.  Pretty cool looking Gypsy Queen card!

I felt a little guilty getting this one back last week.  I sent this to Jason Grilli right after he got traded to the Angels from the Pirates.  My Royals swept the Angels, en route to the ALCS.  He signed this after they lost to the Royals.

Vacation!!!

I finally had a much needed vacation last week.  When I got home, I had several envelopes to open!  I do apologize if I haven't gotten back to you yet if you messaged me via Zistle.  I will get back to you this week!

My first return was from Xavier Nady, who was in camp with the Royals.  I actually got this card before I left, but I just didn't have time to scan it in.  Nady was cut today by the Royals, and now is a free agent.

My spreadsheet was deleted! :(

I was out of town most of last week and I was working on my TTM spreadsheet prior to leaving.  I tried to open it Sunday to work on it, since I had gotten several TTM's while I was gone.  I was upset because I noticed that it was MIA.  I had a back-up, but I was stupid and haven't saved it since the beginning of July.  D'oh!  So, I have about 6 TTM's out that I can't remember who I sent them to, and many more out that I don't know the date I sent them, so I can't calculate how many days it took.  It's really a bummer because I have worked really hard at it! 

Also, I am becoming very frusterated with Blogger.  I can see everyone's comments, but I can't reply to them, unless it's through e-mail!  I can't get it to leave my comment on the blog after someone's posted.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know!

First TTM while I was gone I got back from Jay Bell.  He's currently the hitting coach for the Mobile Bay Bears, AA minor league team of the Diamondbacks.

My 100th post!!!

It seems like it's all or none in the TTM department lately.  I get 1 or 2 a day, then will have a cold streak for a week or two.
