Monday Montage and Stampin’ Fancy Friday Together

I canNOT seem to get my act together! Every time I think I’m getting a handle on things something ELSE happens! (Isn’t that just how life goes sometimes!) I am sharing a card this week that I originally did for the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team … and then never posted! UGH!!! So today it is time to share with all y’all here to see the Monday Montage fun!

I did this right after Christmas. And I was honestly worried that it was too Christmas-y (at least the colors). But, once again, the Fruit Salad DSP came to the rescue (you guys seriously NEED some of this stuff!)! I did a combo of two sets of dies on this one … “For the Books” (isn’t the tassel die just the CUTEST thing EVER??!!?) and “Linked Together”.

I pretty much did my own thing for the background on the focal point … strips of Granny Apple Green on a Basic Black background … easy peasy! The sentiment was stamped on a little scrap I had that I just tore the end off of.

Stamps: For the Books
Paper:  Basic White, Basic Black, Real Red, Granny Apple Green,, Fruit Salad 6”x6” DSP (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: For the Books Dies, Linked Together Dies, Starstruck Embossing Folder, Black and Very Vanilla Large Checked Ribbon, Blooming Pearls

The Starstruck Embossing Folder is fast becoming my new fave … it seems to go with EVERYthing! (And don’t even get me started on the Black and Very Vanilla Large Checked Ribbon!)

This has been the WEIRDEST winter EVER! We have had hardly ANY snow (only had it stick a handful of times) and it was in the 50’s over the weekend! The mountains nearby have gotten a goodly amount, but I have to admit I have missed having a really good snowstorm this year!

Our Monday Montage Hop has gone exclusively to Instagram! You can check it out by finding me @tinkermom85. From there you will be able to find all of my Monday Montage Friends, too!

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Pretty in Plaid

Just a LITTLE bit more Christmas before the year officially comes to a close!

How many different die sets can one use on one creation??? At least FIVE, right??? Sometimes, if less is less then more is MORE!! I kind of went out of control with this one … I started with the “Pretty in Plaid” theme placed for the Stampin’ Fancy Friday team this month and kept going from there!!
I started with some pretty plaid DSP - courtesy of Reindeer Days! The layers were cut using Perennial Postage Dies. I splattered the Basic White layers (except for the card base) using my Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and embossed each of these layers using the Perfect Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

The wreath was cut using a die from Encircled in Nature. The green medallion in the center comes from Spotlight on Nature.

Last, but not least, I used the Mini Alphabet Dies to cut the word “Joy”, also from the Reindeer Days DSP.

I topped it all off with a few Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints and some White Baker’s Twine. It looks like a lot, but it came together quite quickly!

Stamps: NONE
Paper: Basic White, Garden Green, Reindeer Days DSP
Ink: Stampin’ Blends - Real Red, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Perennial Postage Dies, Encircled in Nature Dies, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Mini Alphabet Dies, Perfect Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, White Baker’s Twine

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Celebrate!

Hey stampin’ friends! The last few weeks have been CA-RAY-ZY!!!! So happy to be back home and able to share what I created for this month’s Stampin’ Friday Challenge! This month we are evoking all things celebratory!

Nothing says “celebration” to me more than a big bunch of flowers! Birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s/Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day … the list goes on! The flowers from the “Market Goodness” bundle are perfect! I used both the Deckled Rectangles and Circles to make the layers.

There are only two little bits of stamping on this card - the sentiment and the little “x’s” in the background! The rest of it is just cardstock and some of the lovely Market Goodness DSP (along with a little die cutting and fussy cutting!)!

Stamps: Market Goodness
Paper: Basic White, Garden Green, Market Goodness DSP
Ink: Versamark, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories: Deckled Rectangle Dies, Deckled Circle Dies, Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots, White Baker’s Twine

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Color Challenge

Mooooooo! How stinkin’ caYOOT is this little cow and his little chicken friends??? This month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge is to pick a favorite color combo and incorporate it into our creations. I have ALWAYS loved the classic simplicity of black, white and red. This go-round I added a little splash of yellow to make it pop! These barnyard animals are PERFECT!!

This card was really pretty simple. I first cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4.25” x 11”. Instead of making a “vertical” card, I turned it on its side and made a horizontal card by folding back half of the top layer (also know as a “z-fold”). I then stamped all of the images using Black Memento ink (except the sunflowers and the sentiment - I used versamark and white embossing powder for those). I used the uber-cute Eyelet 3D embossing folder to embossing the folded back portion of the front left panel and also a little strip to put behind the milk can and the chickens.
The yellow bits on the chickens/roosters were made by stamping the images onto Lemon Lolly cardstock and THEN coloring for highlights with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Easy Peasy!

Stamps: Cutest Cows
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Real Red, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Smoky Slate
Ink: Versamark, Black Memento; Stampin’ Blends - Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate
Accessories: Cutest Cows Punch, Deckled Circle Dies, Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, Opal Rounds Assortment, Black and Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Checked Ribbon

Stampin' Fancy Friday - Annual Fav

Today it's my turn to play with the Stampin' Fancy Friday Team!

How do you pick a FAVORITE when the new catalog comes out with soooooo many pretty thing in it??? It's VERY difficult! I would have to say my favorite product is the Adventurous Sky bundle of goodies! The stamps, dies and DSP are all PERFECT! I wanted to showcase as much as I could in one card, so let's get started!

I built the background of this card first with a layer of Smoky Slate cardstock embossed with the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder (which was roughed up around the edges with my snips). Then, I used several strips of the Take to the Sky DSP to create a backdrop accented by some Black and Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Check Ribbon. After securing the strips to a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, I ran the whole piece through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine and one of the Deckled Circle Dies. I am not gonna lie ... I LOVE how this turned out!

I sponged a little bit of Balmy Blue ink around the edges of the clouds for fun!

The sentiment panel was just a scrap of Basic Black cardstock stamped with Versamark and White Embossing Powder.

Lastly, I placed a few of the clear embellishments from the Opal Rounds Assortment and VOILA! This really came together more quickly than it appears ... it's fun when THAT happens!

Stamps: Adventurous Sky
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze, Basic Gray (for the propeller), Take to the Sky DSP
Ink: Versamark, Balmy Blue
Accessories: Adventurous Sky Dies, Deckled Circle Dies, White Embossing Powder, Opal Rounds Assortment, Black and Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Checked Ribbon, So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Case a Fancy Friend

My oh my! This month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday was sooooo hard to nail down initially! “Case a Fancy Friend” … seriously??? How to choose between all the amazingly-talented and wonderfully creative friends??? I ended up doing a “mashup” between two of my favorite stampers - Tammy Wilson and Tami Hewlitt! I absolutely loooooove everything each of them creates every single time!
I used the color combo and DSP treatments with the ribbon/baker’s twine from Tammy Wilson’s lovely card. Also, the white background was also from her. Instead of the pop bottles, I used the fun surfboards from Beach Day.

The white-on-white palm trees and the little sentiment panel was inspired by Tami Hewlitt!

Stamps: Beach Day
Paper: Basic White, 2023-2024 Subtles DSP
Ink: Versamark, Black Memento; Stampin’ Blends - Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Beach Day Dies, Timeless Arrangements Dies (Retired - for sentiment), White Embossing Powder, 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems, 1/4” Black & White Gingham Ribbon, White Baker’s Twine, Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder

This is Tammy Wilson’s great card . . .

And here is Tami Hewlett’s equally-awesome card . . .

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Technique Focus Challenge

I am a bit behind this week … and it’s only Tuesday! It was my turn to post for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Challenge - last FRIDAY!! And I totally SPACED it! So, here I am trying to play catch up! This challenge was so fun! We were all tasked with picking ANY technique and sharing how to do it … so here I am with the whitewash technique with a twist. I did it on BLACK paper (instead of how it is traditionally done on Crumb Cake).

This technique is really quite simple. I stamped my focal image using Versamark  and the new Citrus Blooms Bundle (which YOU can order starting TOMORROW!). I sprinkled it with some White Embossing Powder and then heat set it. Next, I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and got to work. First, fill your image with your white watercolor pencil. Next, pick the colors of your choice to color the images AGAIN to make them pop right off the Basic Black cardstock!

Isn’t it purdy?? It really packs a punch and is so much fun (it makes me feel like a little kid again coloring in my coloring books!).

Stamps: Citrus Blooms
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Old Olive
Ink: Versamark, Black Memento, Watercolor Pencils
Accessories: Citrus Blooms Dies, Double Oval Punch, White Embossing Powder, Basic Gray/Smoky Slate Pearls, 1/4” Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Petal Pink/White 1/4” Diagonal Ribbon Combo Pack

I love the clouds! The dies and stamps are soooo cute! This whole bundle coordinates beautifully with thee Raindrops embossing folder as well.  I used a sponge dauber to add both Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink to the sentiment image ... and I really love the result!

Stamps: Bright Skies
Paper: Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel
Accessories: Bright Skies Dies, Raindrops Embossing Folder
That's all I have for today! Enjoy your Valentine's Day and hold your loved ones close!

Stampin' Fancy Friday - Case a Fancy Friend!

I am so excited that I can finally share this card (that I made over a month ago!) with you guys! I had sooooo much fun creating this card with a technique that I have never tried before!! Using both Stampin' Blends, reinkers and some alcohol on a sheet of vellum I was able to create this super-cool background!

I used some White Baker's Twine to tie off some 3/4" Whisper White Herringbone ribbon in several spots.  I then frayed the Baker's Twine to give it sort of a "floating seaweed" look. The turtle is so pretty, don't you think??

Stamps: Sea Turtle, Charming Sentiments
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue
Accessories: Whisper White 3/4" Herringbone Ribbon, Sentiment Silhouettes Dies, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Glossy Dots Assortment, Alcohol

Here is the card I cased from the oh-so-talented Tammy Wilson! I am ALWAYS inspired by her creations ... they are GORGEOUS!

Celebrating - Freak Style!

Here we are again, playing with the Control Freaks! And this month, we are celebrating with our creations. Hopping around, you will just have come from the blog of birthday girl, Melissa Stout! So today I am celebrating HER!! YAY MELISSA!!

I created this card with inspiration from the Stampin' Fancy Friday Blog Hop ... who were using "Everything Ombre" as their inspiration. So, between celebrating my fellow freaky friend, Melissa, and doing a little color fade, this is the card I came up with. I keep telling you guys, if you DON'T have the Basic Patterns Masks, you MUST add them to your collection ... they are SOOOO fun to create with!

Stamps: Vine Design
Paper: Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Flowering Vine Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon, Basic Patterns Masks

Last week my hubby and I were able to get our first COVID shots ... and tomorrow I take my mama to get her second one! Crossing my fingers and hope she doesn't have too much of a reaction.

Next up??? Cindy Elam! Always fun to celebrate when you see what she has created!!

Stampin' Fancy Friday - CASE A Fancy Friend!

Have any of all y'all been following the Stampin' Fancy Friday Team on Instagram??? If you have NOT, you SHOULD ... #stampinfancyfriday. These women are SOOOOOOO amazingly talented and lovely ... and they are from ALL OVER. You NEED their creations in your life!! This month we were playing "CASE A Fancy Friend"! The card I made is a CASE of one made by one of my MOST FAVORITE stampers, Connie Collins!

This is a color combo I would NEVER have put together on my own ... which is why I LOVE the Interwebz and the capability we have to spend some time (HOURS????) looking around and seeing what others are creating. Sometimes I get sucked into the BLACK HOLE (aka Pinterest) and have a hard time surfacing!! It's truly fun, isn't it???

Stamps: Blossoms in Bloom, Celebrate Sunflowers (sentiment), Buffalo Check
Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Poppy Moments Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Many Layers Blossoms Dies, Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

This was the card Connie created that I used as inspiration ...

Last week in Zion with Bree and her family was the ABSOLUTE BEST!! The world kind of "went away" ... and we were able to relax and visit and hike and enjoy some of the most SPECTACULAR views on the planet. How did the time go by so quickly??? I can't WAIT to do it again ... hopefully SOON!!

Stampin' Fancy Friday - Shake It Up Challenge!

I'm SUPER EXCITED, y'all!!! I was recently asked to participate with the AMAZINGLY-TALENTED ladies on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Blog Hop!! WOOT! WOOT!!! Every single one of these gorgeous gals was a member of Stampin' Up's Artisan Design Team at one point or another. And let me tall ya ... they are SOOOOOO super talented and AWESOME!!! Soooo ... a little info you need to know ... we're shaking things up this year on the Fancy Friday Design Team! This will be our last official 'blog hop' because we're moving in a new direction! We'll be posting a challenge on the first Friday of every month over on Instagram and Facebook. And then we'll show you our team projects as the month progresses. We can't wait to have you around so any time you're inspired by our challenge, tag us in or use hashtag #stampinfancyfriday. Ok, it's time! Go follow us on Instagram and Facebook - @stampinfancyfriday. Stay inspired. See you there!

Hearts anyone???? This card is going to have to go to someone that I LOVE TO DEATH!!! Our challenge was to SHAKE IT UP (make some sorta shaker card or something with dangly tassels, etc.). I haven't made a shaker card in, like, FOREVER!!! NOT kidding!!! I was SUPER happy that I even remembered HOW to do it!! I used my sponges to create an ombre effect as my backdrop, then just layered the new and GORGEOUS Detailed Hearts Die on the top ... and couldn't resist the Well Written "love you" ... which I used not that long ago, but since it's nearly Valentine's Day I figured it was ok to give these particular words a little mileage, know what I mean???? But, alas, this took longer than I had anticipated ... so I'm gonna have to give it to my hubby or one of my kids because it took me a while!
Stamps: NONE
Paper: Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Rich Razzleberry, Sparkle Glimmer, Window Sheet
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Well Written Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Detailed Hearts Die, 5/16" Braided Burlap Trim

Here's what it looks like with all the little "bits" shook up! I used the hearts that were cut OUT of the Detailed Hearts Die as my shaker pieces ... this one is making me happy!

And seeing as it is 7:00pm on a Thursday night an I have yet to get into the shower, I figure I had better remedy that BEFORE I go to bed! I HATE going to bed all gross ... and I'm pretty sure my hubby won't love it if I do that either!

Next up??? Terrifically Talented  ... Tanya Rees!! WOW!
