We all loved her.
May 2005 - Two Australians moved to Tuscany where they planned to live for two years. Two weeks later their dogs, Snowy and Dermott, arrived. Seven years and a property purchase later, they're still here.

An Onion on my Desk
Watercolour & WC pencils - A4 scribble block
HWEM has started pulling the first onions from the garden. I want to do a proper watercolour but thought I had better catch one at least in a sketch before it loses its leaves. All the sketches I'm doing lately are on a cheap sketch pad I bought from the supermarket. It is so liberating! ( Note to Sharon - I've used some Perylene Maroon in this. Sharon has been painting onions as well.)
Watercolour & Pen - Val di Chio
Inspired by looking at some lovely loose pen and ink sketches in our Flying Pictures sketchbook exchange (see Casey and Ronell) I've started playing fast and loose with the local scenery. This is a detail from the view over the valley from our carpark.
Watercolour, Acrylic ink and pen
Acrylic inks I bought on special in London and not sure if I really needed!

A Day in My Life - Cartoon Strip
I was charmed by a recent post by British artist, Vivien Blackburn on her blog Painting, Prints & Stuff.
Vivien had been inspired by illustrator Liz Minichiello to try a cartoon strip based on a day in her life.
Vivien's beautifully rendered effort inspired me to come up with this rather slapdash effort. But I had fun.

Christmas To Do List
Anticipation - Snowy and Dermott waiting for Santa
I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping - and certain people in this house are getting anxious. Dermott has already peeked into the bottom of the wardrobe and he isn't impressed!
The other important thing I have yet to do is get my nomination in for Best Blogger's Painting of 2007!
Katherine Tyrrell of Making a Mark is offering a PRIZE.
She is asking us to identify and nominate a candidate for the best drawing or painting we've seen on an art or illustrated blog in 2007. THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS IS 21 DECEMBER!! So don't add it to your Christmas To Do list - get over there NOW and vote to make a fellow art blogger know just how much their work has been appreciated this year.
