8x8 card for a friend

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there, and ready for the big day...hugs

This has to be a quickie as Stephen has his first hospital appointment since coming home and as he can't communicate very well they have asked me to go with him so that I can explain his limitations etc. After that he will be on his own. They will be sending transport plus an escort so we have to be ready at least an hour and a half before the appointment time!

Anyhow, here is my card for today which is my first birthday card for January.

It's safe to show it as she isn't a blogger.
8x8 card blank from Papermania, covered with white pearlised card embossed with Embossalicious A4 folder.
I swiped different coloured Memento dewdrop inkpads across plain white card then stamped with Lindsay Mason and Lavinia stamps then added a smidgin of Glamour dust and layered onto pewter textured card from PDA. Nothing new was used in the making of this card :o)

Fairy staircase

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
A few peeps suggested that the fungus growing up the tree on one of my latest photographs looked like a fairy staircase which gave me the idea for this 12x12 page. Not too sure about it but heyho, I can always try again later :o)

I used several stamps from Lindsay Mason and Lavinia. The fairies were created by myself and PatEssex on Docrafts from two of my own photographs. That was in the days when we were producing CDs from our own pics. The lady we used is from a photograph I took of the Memphis Belle (remember the film) aeroplane at Duxford some years ago, and the wings are a flutterby I took at a bird and butterfly  park somewhere in Dorset or Somerset, I think it was at Rode, also many years ago. The large mushrooms at the bottom are actually a wooden one at Carsington Water, Derbyshire and I thought it made a great resting place for our fairy LOL. All in all, I have created the image using 4 different photographs, then printed it onto Daler-Rowney tracing paper and cut it to 8x8. Dies used are Marianne and Memory Box. I haven't done any journalling as it is just for me, but I may add a title later :o)

Another chalked card

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world. Let us spare a thought or two for those poor souls in N.E. America who have had more than 3 foot of snow. If our promised 2 inches of snow arrives today I shall not complain!
On to my card for today :o)

I folded and cut plain white card to 6x6.
Stamped image (sorry I can't remember where it's from but it might be Lindsay Mason)  with Versamark onto plain card then chalked it, then cut it and the mat with Nesties. Also stamped same image onto backing paper which is another corner of the same sheet I used for my previous chalked card.
Added ribbon and attached image with foam pads and Bob's yer Uncle, job done :o)
Stay warm and safe everyone!

I thought I had better do some stamping before I forget how.....

Good morning everyone, I hope all is as well as it can be  in your world. I cannot believe it's 4 days since I posted. Where has the time gone? Life and work do get in the way sometimes!
I thought it was time to do some stamping for a change. I was watching my friends on Friday night using this technique (I joined them for a cuppa after shopping) so I decided to have a go. Mine isn't as good as theirs but heyho, better luck next time. I spent yesterday morning cutting silhouette figures out on my neglected Cricut to use on my next try.
Anyhow, I digress so without more ado here is my card :o)

It is an 8x8 card simply because I made the main image too big to go on a 6x6!
Call it a senior moment hehehehehe.
I sponged TH distress inks onto plain white card then got stamp happy with SU and Lindsay Mason. I think I may have been a bit heavy handed with the inks! I then layered onto plain black card. The border is the first of my 5 new dies and is a 12" Nestie.
It is such a simple card :o)

Another friend's anniversary card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours. The sun is shining here this morning, not sure for how long though!
I can't believe it's the last day of my holiday, I have to go back to work tomorrow! I don't mind though because I have run out of money. The weather wasn't conducive to going out and taking photographs so I went out spending instead. Three different craft shops and lots of dies later, my purse is empty! No, I don't use a card for my craft shopping, I go to shops and see and feel before I buy.
I have 4 friends with anniversaries in August, this is the second card so that's 2 down, 2 to go :o)

Base card is white hammered cut and folded to 6x6.
I versamarked the Lindsay Mason flutterbies onto plain white card and heat embossed with Stampendous detail white, then went over it with brayer using Big & Juicy Spice inkpad.
I layered the main panel onto copper pearlised card from ??? added a scrap of ribbon from stash, then layered onto the base card. Copper flutterbies cut using SU embosslits folder and that's all there is to it :o)

The positive and the negative

Good morning Bloggers, I hope that all is well with you and yours.
I have two cards to show you this morning, one made with the positive and the other made with the negative from the Cheery Lynn very large flourish die. The cards are quite large, one A5 and the other 8x6 so you can get an idea of how large this die is if you have never seen it!

This is the positive one, stamped images and sentiment are from Lindsay Mason

I chalked lightly in the leaf bits on this one then added the SU flutterbies. Two very simple cards :o)

Fairy cards + my own wheat

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well, my arm is virtually back to normal now :o)
I must say welcome to a new follower Freyja, thank you for joining me.
Onto my cards and particularly my wheat LOL. I am so chuffed that I managed to create the wheat from an old CorelDraw 7 image. I bought this version way back about 1997 but I never installed it on this machine. I suddenly thought of an image that I used to make some cards years ago, before I really got started in crafting and would you believe it, I have browsed it for hours and cannot find it. Still, I have found some other cracking images that I can make SCAL files from so I am a happy bunny :o)

The mushrooms are an svg file I found on the internet and I am sorry I cannot remember where. If you know please tell me so I can give credit where it's due.
I brayered some thin card for the background and used the offcuts to stamp the
main image. It's the first time these Lindsay Mason stamps have seen ink apart from the sentiment. Main images cut with Nesties :o)

I like this one better

Good morning everyone, it's a little overcast and very windy here this morning but still very warm! I hope that you are all well.
I decided to have another go at a brayering/silhouette card and I am fairly pleased with this one. I bought this Lindsay Mason stamp set a few weeks ago and hadn't got around to using them until now.

Using a Big and Juicy inkpad, I brayered a strip of card and then used one end of it to stamp the fairy scene onto. The rest I stamped with SU stamps from a couple of sets and the magic is from the fairy set. I used a smidgin of glamour dust for the fairy dust. Basically it's a very simple card :o)
