40 card commission

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...here's a few hugs for anyone who wants or needs them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

When I went out to work at about 3pm yesterday, the temperature was a chilly 4c. When I came out of work I expected to have to scrape my car but it was still 4c and it was raining!

I finally finished my 40 card order, took me 5 days to make them and here they are.

They are smaller than my usual 5x7 or 6x6 ish because the size of image demanded that they should be A6.
Luckily, when looking for somthing else, I discovered a long forgotten box chocful of A5 ivory hammered card which I bought when The Papermill Shops were still open, so I didn't have to cut, just folded them in half!
I laid them out in fours, stamping the SU church first, then the Stamps and Smiles sentiment, all stamping done with Memento rich brown inkpad.
I then printed and fitted the inserts, again in fours, and attached them.
Once more, I laid them out in fours and added a smidgin of gold Glamour Dust and 'Bob's yer Uncle', they were finished. Just got to deliver them on Friday and have a pub lunch with my cousin (customer).
I can't say that I am sorry they are finished :o)

Blue on Blue

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs to all who need or  want them.

The sun is shining, we have wall to wall blue skies, and the wind has dropped, let us hope it stays that way!

I have my second colour shades card to share this morning, this time it's BoB, and here it is.

The base card looks white here, but it is pale blue hammered card which I have had forever, I bought it from the Papermill shop at McArthur Glen years ago and then forgot about it!
I stamped my favourite Stampendous agapanthus image onto mid blue card then cut with Spellbinders pierced square die. Mat cut from a scrap of dark blue linencard from who knows where, also in the dim and distant past.
Diecuts are Memory Box.
Sentiment is from SU.
Finished off by stamping agapanthus onto base card :o)

Something a bit different

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I think that most of us love the WoW cards, and I had been toying with the idea of a cream on cream one, but when I saw Pams-crafts Pink on Pink card a week or so ago, I decided I would make several different one colour cards just for fun. I have always loved grey so here is my first of 6 different colour tones cards, a GoG one!

All card is from stash and mostly bought years ago at PDA, but there may be some from The Papermill Shop before they all closed.
Finished card size is just under 6x6.
Circleburst and leaf dies are from Memory Box.
Daisy dies from Sue Wilson.
Tiny brad from stash.
SU sentiment stamp.
Not a lot else I can say about it :o)

Tattered floral

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
I've been rummaging in my stash and thought it was about time I used some papers. I haven't bought any for 5 years but still have lots of them!
Everything used in the making of this card is from stash.

I used white hammered card from the PMS folded and cut to 6x6 for the base card.
I covered the card with what I think is Basic Grey paper, but there is no name on it so I can't be sure!
The flower is a TH Tattered Floral die cut, and the edges are inked with Big and Juicy.
Foliage is a Memory Box die cut from a scrap of PDA card.
Sentiment is stamped with My Creative Time.
The gem is from some I bought way back in the mists of time :o)

Christmas card #6

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there {{{{{hugs}}}}}
We have gone from brilliant sunshine yesterday to miserable, grey and wet today :o(

My title says #6 but I have actually made more Christmas cards, just not been putting them on in the right order LOL, I made this one several weeks ago.

Papermill hammered white card folded and cut to 6x6.
Pearlised card embossed with Embossalicious 6x6 folder, then lightly chalked.
Snowman is one of my favourite stamps from ? I have had it for years. Coloured with copics and cut with Spellbinders die, then attached with sticky foam pads to lift it. Stars cut from blue glittercard scrap with Memory Box die. Snowman finished off with a smidgin of Glamour Dust.
Very quick and simple card :o)

Aperture card with poppies

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who want or need them.

I have made 4 of my own aperture cards and here is the first of them :o)

Ivory linen card from the Papermill shop before they all closed, folded and cut to 7x5, then I used a Spellbinders Nestie to create the aperture.
Cheery Lynn trellis die cut behind the aperture.
Memory box flower die cuts, brown card candy and creamy pearl.
Sentiment is from a My Creative Time stamp set.
Own white poppy photograph changed to sepia inside :o)

A5 Easter card with new embossing folder

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world {{{{{hugs}}}}}

My card today is a bit larger than my norm, it's A5 and I don't do this size very often. I had made my topper too big for 7x5 card! How stupid is that? No, I don't expect and answer to that LOL.

I do love this new Ebosser embossing folder, it's called Honeycomb.
Cards used are White linen from Paper Mill Direct, yellow hammered and yellow linen from the Paper Mill Shop before they all closed, and white pearlised card from ?
Dies used are Spellbinders Nesties and cross. Own photograph of course. Not much else can be said about it!  :o)

Trying again

Good morning fellow crafters, I hope all is well in your world, and here's some hugs if you need them {{{{{hugs}}}}}
I posted this one yesterday morning and it disappeared, so let's hope it posts okay this time! It's not even as if it's a masterpiece, so if it disappears this time I will know it is trying to tell me something LOL.
At the second time of asking, here it is. I decided to try inking onto very textured card to see what happened and this is the result. Could be better!

Papermania textured card is what I used for the inking, not really too successful but it's halfway there LOL.
I layered the image onto black PM textured card and then onto the base card which is white leatherlook card from Paper Mill Shop before they all closed down, yes I have had it that long! Various stamps used for the scene and finished off with a Memory Box tree diecut. The jury is still out on whether I like it or not :o)

Simple Easter card

Good morning everyone, I do hope you are all warm, dry and well {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who need or want them.

Thank you all for your enquiries about my cough. It hasn't quite gone yet but it's improving, and I actually slept about 4 hours solid last night :o)

My card for today is just a simple Easter card made with diecuts and embossing folders :o)

Base card is PMS hammered white folded and cut to 7x5.
Yellow layer is also PMS hammered card.
The embossed backing is made up from part of two different folders, one is Cuttlebug and the other is Crafts too.
Crosses are from Spellbinders.
Sentiment printed in MS Word and cut with SU punches.

Birthday card for a friend

Good morning everyone, here I am at stoopid o'clock. Can't sleep cuz I'm coughing fit to bust! I hope all is well with everyone, and that the floods didn't get any worse {{{{{hugs}}}}}
My card for today was for my very good friend PatEssex (Docrafts), whose birthday was last week.

White hammered card from The Paper Mill Shop was folded and cut to 7x5 for the base card. For the main panel, I swiped dewdrop inkpads over a piece of plain white card, a technique I have copied from The lovely Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper).
Then I stamped with a mixture of stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black and London Fog.
Flutterbies were punched with Martha Stewart and the foliage is from a Cheery Lynn die, and mounted onto a dull silver mat :o)

One extreme to the other

Good morning everyone, I do so hope that none of you are caught up in all the dreadful flooding in Somerset, or anywhere else {{{{{hugs}}}}}
I seem to have lost 3 followers and gained 1! Thank you for joining me Carol.
My title for today refers to the fact that my card has far more on it than my duck card and without more ado, here it is.

Base card is white leather look (I believe I bought it from the Paper Mill Shop some years ago) Folded and cut to 7x5.
For the main panel I used pearlised card and cut/embossed with Marianne cut and emboss folder, then mounted it onto gold mirri card, edge cut with Martha Stewart punch.
Crosses are Spellbinder and the greeting, printed in MS Word, was punched with SU.
Still not too sure if it is suitable for Easter!

Peter's favourite corner, No 2 of my cousin's commissioned cards

Good morning everyone, I do hope you are all warm, dry and well {{{{{hugs}}}}}
This morning's offering is part of my cousin's commission for 12 cards. This one is for her OH and my photograph is of his favourite corner in his beloved garden. This is where he loves to sit with a good book and a cuppa after lunch in the summer :o)

Base card is PMS hammered white. My photograph is printed then matted onto Papermania textured card. Potted plant is SU coloured with copics then hand cut and mounted on foam pads. Sentiment added in Paint Shop Pro. A very simple card :o)

Commissioned card, own photograph

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, and if not, here's a few hugs {{{{{hugs}}}}}
I cannot believe how fast January is flying by, at this rate it will soon be Christmas again LOL.
My cousin asked me to make her some cards (12 of them) and this one is the first, for her brother. Before he retired about 10 years ago, he worked for the Environment Agency (formerly British Waterways) for many years and this scene, taken at Trent Meadows, Long Eaton, was "on his beat" and I was standing on a bridge when I took it.

Base card is white hammered from the Paper Mill Shop before they all closed, folded and cut to 7x5.
Blue card is from stash and probably came from the same place. The pale blue card which mats the main image is Papermania textured card as is the card I have printed my photograph onto. I added the sentiment in Paint Shop Pro.Embossing folder is an 8x8 one from Embossalicious and the leaf die is from Memory Box :o)

Emboss and diecut cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
I was having a look through my (many) smaller embossing folder the other day and decided it was about time I used them again. Here are 2 of the 7 cards I made. All were very simple but that's what I like :o)

White & Silver, white & gold, I love these two combinations.
When I moved my craftroom, I discovered a whole box full of  Paper Mill Shop (before they all closed) hammered white and another box full of their hammered ivory, so I decided it's time to use them before I buy any more linen card!
Both base cards are folded and cut to 7x5.
I also found my (lost) solver and gold textured card so I have used them here too.
Embossed panels are white pearlised card which I bought from Donnington last year.
Leaping deer is Memory Box die cut and Tree  is a Marianne die cut.
The sentiment is from and ancient Woodware word stamp set :o)

2nd of 8 card commission

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
It feels quite mild this morning, although I haven't yet been outside!
Welcome to new follower Chris Carter :o)

My cousin gave me a photograph and asked if I could make a very CAS 80th birthday card for her BiL. This is the photograph!

OMG, I am not very good at cleaning old pics up but I decided to have a go and this is the result

I am fairly pleased with myself LOL. What a good looking 13 year old he was!
I printed the photograph and sentiment onto Papermania Vanilla textured card and layered it onto brown Papermill Shop card. Base card is the same Vanilla PM textured card folded and cut to 7x5.
Here is the inside

I Googled famous births in 1933 and these are just a few of them :o)

Commissioned diamond anniversary card

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

Stephen continues to do well and has managed, with the aid of his physiotherapist, to walk all the way down the street (about 200 yards). He can't do it on his own but it will come :o)

Oh my! what a wild day it looks out there but at least the overnight rain has gone away!
My cousin has asked me to make her some cards, 6 x Christmas, 1 x 80th birthday and 1 x diamond anniversary and this is the first of them. She likes CAS cards and they have to be fairly flat for posting.

I used Paper Mill Shop (from before the shops closed) hammered white card folded and cut to 6x6. Front panel is pearlised white card embossed with A4 Embossability folder.
Words and date printed onto Papermania textured card then punched with Woodware and SU punches. Leaf vine is from Memory Box and cut from grey Papermania :o)

Purple bits and bobs, nothing new

Good morning Bloggers, no doubt most of you are basking in the sun but for me it is too much. Anything over 20 and I am like a limp rag!

I, for one will be glued to the TV screen this afternoon watching our boys in the Tour de France. Did anyone see how Froome and Porte completely took over yesterday? Not a tennis fan but hope that Murray will do well.

Here is another card made before my shoulder decided not to play. Thank goodness I am finally managing to get some crafting in now and will hopefully soon have new ones to show you LOL.
Anyhow, without more ado, here is my card made with bits from the scrap box apart from the base card.

Base card is hammered card from PMS way before the Mansfield shop closed. I found a matching piece in my scrap box just big enough for the Marianne cut and emboss folder, then  layered it onto a piece of mirri card which was just big enough too, then onto the base card.  Flower punched with EK Success and Xcut, spiky leaves punched with McGill and the other leaves are Memory Box die cuts. That's all there is to it, very cheap and very simple :o)

5 in 25 minutes

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and not getting wet. It's pouring down here!
I am off out to my cousin's for the day for out monthly chinwagging session with lots of laughter and a pub lunch, and to take Christmas card samples for her to choose from. She loves creams and browns and they have to be very CAS and flat for posting. She has had two of these designs in previous years and asked for more, but I did 3 others as well to give her choices.  She will want 20 of the chosen one.
Anyhow, enough spouting on, here they are.

I have used Paper Mill Shop (yes that's how long I have had it) ivory hammered card because my cousin likes it. They are all A6.
 All image stamps are SU apart from the Bethlehem one which is Elzybells.
Sentiments are SU, Penny Black and Stamps and Smiles, and all are stamped with Memento rich cocoa. I added just a sprinkle of gold Glamour Dust to finish :o)
Jackie xx
P.S. It really did take me only 25 minutes to make all 5, from cutting and folding the card to finishing off with Glamour Dust!

Whales and dolphins

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and the snow has cleared off!
Thank you for all the well wishes for my first physio session. From what other peeps had said I was expecting it to be grim but not at all, I got through it fine and was very interested when the physiotherapist showed me on a skeleton shoulder just what is wrong with mine. I find that when I know what is causing the pain I can better understand it.  'Twas a good session and I am hopeful of a phased return to work in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed :o)
Anyhow, on to my card for today

I created the backing by embossing 160gsm thin card with M-Bossability A4 folder then brayering with a Fiskars textured brayer and a Big and Juicy inkpad.
I folded and cut pale blue hammered PMS card to 6x6 and layered the backing on.
I took the photographs in Sea World, Florida and Miami Seaquarium in 1989, before there were digital cameras so I had to scan them in. I opened them in Photoshop Elements 5 the create the frame and the title, then printed in Word on photo paper and about 3 years or so ago and never used it. I found several of my old photographs which I had printed and never used. It really does pay to have a shuftie through your old stash occasionally :o) The only new stuff used on this card is the starfish and anchor dies from Marianne. Methinks I may add a couple more starfish :o)
