Big and bold

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be, if a little damp...hugs
I know we needed rain, but it started raining here last night just after 7pm, and it hasn't stopped yet!!!

I was inspired by a Docrafts member to make these cards This is what she made (hope the link works) and these are my take on them.

Basecard for this one is PMD ivory linencard, folded and cut to fit 6x6 envelope. I used ivory because it is softer than the white of the other card.
Flower petals punched with SU.
Flower centre cut with the smallest Spellbinders oval die.
Backing cut from a 6x6 square (from stash) with Memory Box square stitched die.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn die.
Tiny beads from stash to finish off.

For this one I used a 7x7 card blank from?
Frame is the negative from the card above.
Flower made the same way.
Foliage cut with Marianne die.
Sentiment stamped and cut with SU.
I found lots of seed beads whilst delving into boxes looking for something else and used some for the flower centre.
Flowers are raised with sticky foam pads.
They really are very simple to make so I cut some kits for my friends to make last night, it was my turn to host our Friday session :o)

Ivory on Ivory

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs to those who need or want them.

Yesterday started with horizontal rain and ended up with sunshine, this morning has started of with sunshine and is due to end with rain!!!

Anyhow, enough of our changeable weather. I have an IoI (Ivory on Ivory) card to share with you today, it is one of my favourite :o)

All card used is Ivory linencard from PMD.
Basecard is A4 folded and cut to 7x5. Foliage cut with Memory Box die.
Flowers punched with Woodware.
Pearls from stash, coloured with Copic marker pen. I haven't got a cream Copic so used my very palest yellow one!
Nothing else to be said about it really except that a few of the leaves are lifted with
sticky foam pads :o)

Moose Christmas card Nos. 48 and 49

Good morning everyone, It's feeling a tad Autumnal this morning and I am loving it. I hope all is well in your world, hugs.

I have two cards to share with you today both featuring a digi image merged with one of my photographs. I do so enjoy making this kind of card because it combines my two favourite pastimes, cardmaking and photography :o)

Unfortunately I hade to attache the greeting to cover up the fact I had stamped it upside down straight onto the card LOL.
Both photographs are ones I took in 2009 at Elvaston Castle Country Park.
I opened the pics up in Paint Shop Pro and then added the Moose digi from Karen's Doodles.
I merge them then printed onto white linen card from Papermill Direct.
Coloured with Copics and Sakura pens.
Base card is the same linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
Gold mat is textured card from ?
Red mat is Papermania textured card.
Un-named sentiments stampd on and a smidgin' of Glamour Dust added and Bob's yer Uncle, job done :o)

Another watercoloured image

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, Hugs

For those who didn't see the stop press bit on my previous card, I am a happy bunny cuz my little car passed it's M.O.T with flying colours :o)
The blue badge people rung and asked me some questions so now it's a waiting game to see if I get one!

I found this sunflower image in my digi folder, had it for years but sorry, I can't remember where from!

I folded an A4 sheet of PMS hammered white card in half for the A5 base card.
Pearlised white card embossed with A4 Embosslicious folder .
Sunflower printed onto white linen card from Papermill Direct, coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils and cut with Spellbinder's Grand Nesties. Mat cut from a scrap of gold textured card.
SU sentiment and punches :o)

A5 Christmas card

Good morning everyone I hope you are well or at least getting there...hugs
Thank you for all the lovely messages about my shoulder pain, I really appreciate them.

My card for today is a tad larger than my usual 7x5. I wasn't too sure about it at first but it has grown on me now  :o)

I embossed the trees with TH emb folder and found that the embossing didn't show up on the green glittercard, so what to do with them?
I decided to hand cut them so at least we can see the shape of the trees, but then they were too big for a 7x5 card!!!
After some deliberation and lots of placing and moving them around this is the result.
Papermill Direct white linen card folded to A5.
pearlised card embossed with (no name) embossing folder then layered onto plain greed card from PDA, which was in turn layered onto the card base.TH trees and Memory Box glued on, then Woodware sentiment added, and that's all there is to this very simple card folks :o)

Flutterby tree + a problem solved

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there, {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who want or need them.
Problem solved! Yes, the flower is a gardenia (see previous post). I have had several peeps tell me so and the final one was from a Master Gardener so gardenia it is. Thank you to everyone who took interest :o)
And now for my flutterby tree. Some time ago I saw a beautiful card with a button tree on it. I think it may have been created by Chrissy of Chrissys4cards, sadly no longer blogging so I can't check that out. BUT, if you know different then please let me know so I may give credit where it is due.
Well I don't have buttons, so I decided to have a go with flutterbies. I must say that I am pleased with the result, so I cut out kits (different sparkly colours) for my friends to make when they came around for a craft evening on Friday and they loved it!
So, without more ado, here it is.

I was mortified when I blobbed red ink onto the finished card, but I have rectified that by sitting a "fallen" flutterby on it, and as I don't like even numbers I had to put another one on as well!
Although it looks white on here, the card is ivory linen from Paper Mill Direct, plus the red glitter card from The Range. Flutterbies punched with Martha Stewart, Tree cut with Memory Box and and attached to Spellbinders Nesties. Stamped flutterby from Lyndsay Mason set and sentiment from Stamps and Smiles. Nothing new was used in making this card :o)

A5 Easter card with new embossing folder

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world {{{{{hugs}}}}}

My card today is a bit larger than my norm, it's A5 and I don't do this size very often. I had made my topper too big for 7x5 card! How stupid is that? No, I don't expect and answer to that LOL.

I do love this new Ebosser embossing folder, it's called Honeycomb.
Cards used are White linen from Paper Mill Direct, yellow hammered and yellow linen from the Paper Mill Shop before they all closed, and white pearlised card from ?
Dies used are Spellbinders Nesties and cross. Own photograph of course. Not much else can be said about it!  :o)

Foxglove card and retail therapy. Picture heavy

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who need or want them.
What a wonderful birthday I had on Sunday with my crafting friends, with loads of chinwagging and laughter, fabulous retail therapy and lovely dinner at Cosmo in Derby to finish off with, a perfect day :o)
I have been  feathering few more of my photographs in PSP and this foxglove is the first I have used on a card.

If my memory serves me right, I took this photograph at Elvaston Castle Country Park a couple of summers ago.
Paper Mill Direct linen card folded and cut to 5x7.
Photograph printed onto same card then layered onto green card before attaching to base card. Same green card used for the Memory Box die cut.
That's all there is to it :o)

And now for my retail therapy, my first since last June!

The copics I bought from a friend for half the normal price, the rest I bought from our trip to Byrkley Park at Rangemore, Staffordshire :o)

It's that Teddy again

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who need or want them.
I didn't get to see the northern light Sob! We have too much light pollution here and there was a bit of cloud cover too :o(
I am currently on holiday from work so hopefully I will get lots of playtime in. Tomorrow my crafting friends will be here with me to celebrate my birthday in grand style.
We will start off the day with the obligatory bacon butties, then get some crafting in, with lots of chinwagging and laughing, until lunch after which we will be off to Byrkley Park to spend, spend, spend in the craft shop. I haven't been craft shopping for many months so I mean to make up for it LOL. Then after another crafty session we will be off to Cosmos' in Derby for dinner, what more could any crafter want?

Now that I've found him I just had to use that Ted again and as I haven't made an easel card for several years I thought it time to try my hand again, so here it is.

Very simple really, I do like white space!
Elzybells image stamped onto Papermill Direct linen card, coloured with copics and a smidgin of Glamour Dust added to the snowy bits although you can't see them very well here.
Cut with Spellbinders nestie and layered onto a red mirri Grand nestie cut.
Sentiment is from an ancient SeeDs stamp set punched with SU, Ivy is Memory Box :o)

Christmas card #5

Good morning everyone, I hope you are well and that you haven't been affected by the strong gales and rain, and if you have I hope the end is in sight {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Thank you for all of your good wishes, my cough is now allowing me to sleep a bit better.

I was looking through my old stamps (as you do) and came across this sweet Elzybells one. I have very few cute stamps and don't usually make cute cards, but I couldn't resist this one and now he has been "found" I will certainly use him again :o)

It's not often that I am totally satisfied with my own cards (are any of us?) but I do have a soft spot for this one.
I finally bought a box of white linen card from Paper Mill Direct and I have to say that I am delighted with it. This is my first card using it.
Base card folded and cut to 7x5.
Stamped onto the same card and coloured with copics, then layered it onto red Papermania Textured card, the same as that used for the Memory Box Frostyville border.
Attached to base card with sticky foam strips. Added a smidgin of Glamour Dust to the snow and Voila, the finished card :o)
