Christmas 45

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

The rain has finally stopped, it didn't even rain overnight!!! Of course it's because I am back at work now isn't it!

My offering for today should have been Christmas 44 and 45, but I seem to have deleted 44, how divi can I get? Don't answer that LOL.

I used my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5, I promise I do occasionally make other sizes and shapes LOL.
Pearlised white panel embossed with one of my new Darice folders and lightly chalked, then layered onto gold fluted card from PDA.
Own photograph taken last winter at St Chad's Water, feathered in PSP7.
Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles (I think).

This is my original photograph taken in 2011 :o)

A break in the rain

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, sending hugs for those who need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Today is the last day of my week off work, and yesterday we had a break in the rain for a short while so I managed to take my camera for  walkies, but not for long before the rain came back!!!

St. Chad's Water is only about 3 miles from where I live so off I went like a shot out of a canon!

This is just a few of the 30+ photographs thast I took :o)

This splash of red was quite something, there were berries aplenty, said to be a sign of a bad winter!

I couldn't believe how clear the water was, didn't see any fish though!

It was blowing a howling gale but it was quite mild.
15 minutes after I took these photographs it was raining yet again, I had managed to blow the cobwebs off for a few minutes though :o)

Been playing wiv my new toy.....

.....and I love it to bits already. I bought the Samsung Galaxy tablet cuz it matches my mobile phone so I know what a lot of the icons mean. I am fine on my computers and with my camers, but these mobiles and tablets are a complete mystery to me LOL.
It was a dull grey day yesterday but I decided to pop along to one of my favourite places,  a fairly local lake called St Chad's Water. It's only about 3 miles away but it's a beautiful little oasis full of peace and tranquility.  It is off the beaten track, and yet the M1 motorway is just a couple of miles away as the crow flies. I sometimes take my Kindle there to sit in the shade and read, sometimes I just sit and watch the wildfowl doing their own thing.  I used be able to walk around the lake but those days are gone now, although the memories are still there. At least I can still go there and sit, pondering the mysteries of life :o)

Enough waffle now, here are the first two panoramic pics I have taken with my new Tablet!

Daft though it sounds, I have had my little camera, the one I bought to replace my stolen on, over two years now and never got around to looking at the panoramic funtion on it, so I decided to have a go with that one too, and voila, it worked a treat. If I hadn't bought the tablet I may never have discovered it. The pics I took with that one are still in the camera so not shown here. I had some strange notion that to take panoramic pics with it, I would have to take them then try aligning them to fit them together. For those of you think along the same lines, not so, it is sooooooooooooooooo easy to take them as the camera has guides on screen and tells you if you go out of them :o)

A few photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and warm. At least the frost this morning was very light unlike the previous few days when it was very thick!
I went for a stroll around St. Chad's Water on Tuesday and these are just a few of the many photographs that I took. It was a very wild day with glorious sunshine and sometimes dark clouds and sub zero temperatures and it certainly blew the cobwebs away. It was too cold for many peeps to be there which meant no-one got in the way of me taking pics! It is one of my favourite places and is only 3 miles away from here. In warmer weather it is great to take a book and sit reading and watching the wildfowl having their squabbles over which section of the lake belongs to which birds :o)

Tomorrow I am off to Macclesfield for a crafting get together with friends and no doubt we will get some retail therapy in too :o)
