A publication... 46

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, January 28, 2012 @ 7:15 AM | , , ,

Hi there! Are you all ready for the weekend ~ I know I am! It's 7:00 in the morning here and I am on my way to the airport, headed to CHA! I'm really excited to be working at the Pink Paislee booth and to meet up with some crafty friends and hopefully make some new ones :) I'm rooming with my dear sweet friend IRL, Stephanie so I know I will have a great time day and night!  If you have seen my last five posts, you can see all the fun and exciting products Pink Paislee are introducing to the papercrafting world!

Quite some time ago, my favorite die cutting manufacturer, Spellbinders invited me to submit a project for their book, Spellbinders: Quick & Easy Crafts for Entertaining, an offer I couldn't refuse! Well, my Mother's Day ensemble was chosen for publication! YAHOOO!! It even made the back cover :) This book is on sale at Annie's Attic (click HERE).
Thanks for looking! I hope you have a great weekend! I will be back tomorrow with a new CR84FN Color Challenge and maybe some photos to share! Be Sweet :)

Mona Pendleton | Friday, September 30, 2011 @ 7:00 AM | , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to Day #4 of the JustRite Stampers October Release. Today several of the JustRite DT Members and myself will be sharing projects made using the Kaleidoscope Medallions set. First up is a snowflake ornament featuring a pretty image from Kaleidoscope Medallions along with a sentiment from Christmas Mini Sentiments:
After stamping and die cutting the kaleidoscope image, I applied Tattered Angels Chandelier Glimmer Glam giving it a shimmery appearance. I stitched around the perimeter and adhered it to a snowflake made using patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue Collection. I finished both the ornament and card with a framed sentiment from Christmas Mini Sentiments using a JustRite custom die from Nested Sentiments Dies:
Close up, you can see the beautiful shimmery kaleidoscope image along with the sweet label:

JustRite Stampers October Release Day #2 46

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, September 28, 2011 @ 7:00 AM | , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to Day #2 of the JustRite Stampers October Release! Today, we are sharing samples made using Lace Borders. However, to create my project that I am sharing today, I combined Lace Borders with Old Friends and Grandma's Doilies. To change things up a bit I created a mix media canvas. I pulled out a 8" x 8" canvas and combined these beautiful stamps with paint and paper sharing with you how versatile these stamps really are. Not limited to card making or scrapbooking projects.
Before I could begin to stamp, I first painted the canvas using Gesso then using Claudine Hellmuth Multi-medium Matte, I created a collage background using patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue Collection. Once the base layer was dry, I adhered the flower leaves and stems then white washed over using Claudine Hellmuth Studio One Canvas paint. The flower centers were made by stamping 3 different images from Grandma's Doilies and finished with fancy Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue Jumbo Buttons. The stems were completed by stamping an image from Lace Borders:
Using another pretty image from Lace Borders, I stamped the upper right hand corner of the canvas. I love the not so precise look giving it an rustic look. What do you think? Can't go wrong with a multi-layered butterfly fluttering through my flower garden:

A JustRite Paris mini continued... 64

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, August 25, 2011 @ 7:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Welcome to the JustRite Stampers September Release Day #3 of 3. In case you missed my prior posts from the last TWO days, members of the JustRite DT and myself have been sharing projects made using stamps from the September Release which include: Bon Voyage - ClingGreetings From Paris - Cling and Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling. Today we are focusing on the Shabby Chic Labels Four - Cling stamp set however, since ALL three of these sets may be so easily mixed and matched and coordinate beautifully together, my project contains various images from all three. WARNING: this post contains ALOT of photos, so I hope you grab your beverage of choice and enjoy :) I made an 8"x8" cloth covered chipboard mini album of a trip Scott and I took to Paris, France. Picking up from where we left off yesterday, we'll start with a large tag "page".
Side 1: features a postcard made using a Spellbinders Custom Nested Frame die template then was stamped using a postage image from Greetings From Paris:

Photo taken of CU detail of The Arc de Triomphe
Side 2: Since so many of JustRite Stampers images coordinate so well together. I incorporated stamps from various sets as well. I stamped a sentiment from Rejoice then framed it with a gorgeous ornate label from Signs of Life then cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Labels Three die template:
Page 8:
Photo taken in front of The Cathedral of Notre Dame
To make the label, I stamped the Circle of Love sentiment from Signs of Life using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamped a little motif from Greetings From Paris below cut using a Spellbinders die then adhered it to a beautiful label from Bon Voyage that was stamping using SU Old Olive ink and cut using a Spellbinders Labels Six die template. To complete the label, I layered the image on top of a label cut using a Spellbinders Labels Twenty die template:
I love how the postage stamp image from Greetings From Paris fits perfectly within a Melissa Frances Vintage embellishment frame:
Page 9:
Photo taken in front of The Opera House - Paris
The postcard was cut using a Spellbinders Custom Nested Frame die template then stamped using various postage images from Greetings From Paris and Bon Voyage. I stamped the FRANCE sentiment from Greetings From Paris then framed using altered Tim Holtz ornate embellishment:
I LOVE the gorgeous leafy scroll image from Greetings From Paris:
a large tage page Side 1: (no stamping here)
Side 2 features a BEAUTIFUL label from Shabby Chic Labels Four with the gorgeous leafy scroll image from Greetings From Paris stamped above and below framing that beauty:
and last but not least ~ Page 10:
Photo taken in front of The National Academy of Music - Paris
The gorgeous label in the lower right corner is from Shabby Chic Labels Four and was cut using a  Spellbinders Labels Four die template. To make the label shown below, I stamped the pretty crown image from Bon Voyage and the Paris sentiment from  Greetings From Paris below, centered and stamped a gorgeous label from Friendship Blooms then using a Spellbinders Labels Sixteen die template to cut the image:
