i love the folksy sensibility of this man.
as a young girl i purchased an edgar guest treasury at a junk store while on a road trip with friends. his poems never fail to speak to a hardship or joy or just plain old everyday living that i may be experiencing.
just thought you should know.

i come by it honestly,my insatiable appetite for good Christmas music.
like my mother before me(and still) i start the turntable early on,the
day after thanksgiving and play it non-stop until right after the new year.

i have been blessed to gather over time,and it is no small collection
believe you me,the results of a large family!the fellow on the right is my dad,in the
garden and a school mug,the babe on the left is a great, great
aunt(maternal).i hold these images near and dear to my heart
