VINTAGE SCISSORS

Hi everyone,

I am here today to share another of my saved photos.

Again I am using an image from CMD, and unfortunately the shop is now closed.  I am so sad about this.  These Vintage scissors are one of my favourite images and so useful to pop on a card when the recipient is a crafter.

The die at the top is an On The Edge Die by Tim Holtz.
the die at the foot is a JOY die (from http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/)

In addition I have used a selection of embellishments from my stash but I guess if you look on the lovely shop at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/  you may well come across them (and much more!) on there.

As always, thanks for looking,

VINTAGE CORSET

Hi everyone

I am here today to share a card I made recently using this lovely image which was from Cardmaker's Delights when they were open.

Actually I made this some time ago so I cannot rememer just which papers I used.  I do know that the embellishments were a mixture of items from Wildl Orchid Crafts and also my stash.

This is a sort of criss cross style card, placed on its side so the detachable tags can fit into the right hand side pocket.

As always, thanks for looking,

A ROMANTIC TAG

Hi everyone

Well I hope all my UK followers have had a lovely Bank Holiday.

I am here today to share a photo of a tag I made.  I must confess this is one I made some time ago and has been sat in my saved photos to post on my Blog for a while now.  I have quite a lot of photos waiting to be shared so I will be doing this shortly.

The image is one of the CMD images from my stash.  I am so sorry that this shop has now closed.

In addition I have used a selection of embellishments from my stash but I guess if you look on the lovely shop at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/  you may well come across them (and much more!) on there.

As always, thanks for looking,

VINTAGE AGAIN

Hi all

I have another Vintagey card to share today.  Using another of these lovely images for Cardmaker's delights.  I keep meaning to go over to their shop, it is on my list of things to do.

The dies around the edges are JOY from Noor Designs UK.

OOOOOOOOOooooooI have just noticed recently too that there are now a lovely selection of the most gorgeous laces ever in Tracy's shop at Noor Designs UK, so this is just a heads up!

The lace on this card I think actually came from EBay.  Those gorgeous bronze leaves were a gift from a friend and the lovely sprigs came from Live and Love Crafts

I hope your weekend is going well, and as always thanks for looking

ANOTHER TOUCH OF VINTAGEY SHABBY

Hi everyone

I just loved making this card, Vintage and shabby seem to be my middle name these days.

This is another image from Cardmaker's Delights.  I have gone mad with lace on roll, ribbons and lace, not to mention the flowers and pearls.  The flowers are al mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and also Hobbycraft.  The pearls again were a lovely gift at Christmas.  I just love these!  You will see Tulle trim from Live and Love Crafts and the rest were from my stash.

As always thanks for looking

I might not be able to get online this next week so things could go quiet, but I will be back, and in particular with a Design Team card for Fussy & Fancy Friday on 20 May.

VINTAGE COUPLE AT CMD

Hi everyone

Here I have a Vintagey card to share, using this lovely image which was from Cardmaker's Delights.
There is something about making these cards that I just love.

There are a mixture of embellishments, a lot of which are available at Live and Love Crafts, and the Wild Orchid crafts roses are now available at Noor Designs UK.  The string pearls were a lovely gift at Christmas.  (HUG - thank you, you know who you are! ).  There is a Marianne Creatables die-cut peeping through at the top right.  I just love those bark hearts.  They were from Live and Love Crafts.  I shabbied them up a bit with Structure paste from Dutch Doobadoo, (Noor Designs UK).  The cheesecloth, well this can be got from eBay but I think Live and Love Crafts have that too.

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - FEMALE BIRTHDAYS

Hi everyone,

It has got around to another challenge at Fussy and Fancy !  This challenge is hosted by

Therese

The theme is entitled 'Female Birthdays'  and we are sponsored by  Sweet Lilac Flowers

I like to make cards without a sentiment on the front then a personal message can be written inside the card.  So there is no Birthday wording on the front of my card but I have opted for a very girly theme following the vintagey shabby theme I so love.

I opted to make a sideways criss-cross style card adding detachable tags.

Virtually everything came from my stash.  The image was from Cardmaker's Delights and the flowers would be from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Without doubt the lovely organza floral trim came from eBay.  The shabby ribbon came from Live and Love Crafts.

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

PINK AND BLACK

Hi everyone

Would you believe I have found a photo of a card Imade back in 2013!  How I missed posting this one I do not know.  I was well into working with shaped cards at that time and I loved this shape (and stilol do for that matter).  I was using Cardmaker's Delights images then, just as I still am now too.  The colours are so unusual for me but I do still like them.

I have no idea what the papers are on this card but I do know the lace was purchased locally.

As always, thanks for looking

VINTAGEY ROMANCE

Hi everyone

I am here tonight to just pop a quick posting onto my Blog with a card I made a couple of weeks ago.  I just loove this image which I got from Cardmaker's Delights simply ages ago.  I delved into my stash and with the help of the roses from Wild Orchid Crafts andlace purchased locally this is what I came up with.  The papers were from my stash but I am afraid I cannot remember what they are.

Thanks for looking

VINTAGE FLOWERS

Hi everyone,

Yes, here we have another Vintagey style card, and yes I have still been deliving into my stash papers and the lovely images from Cardmaker's Delights.

There is not a lot to say about this card to be honest, as usually is the case the flowers are from Live and Love Crafts/Wild Orchid Crafts.

SHABBY EASTER

Hi everyone,

I am here today with another card I have been asked to make.  This time it is  an Easter card.  Well, I do not usually make Easter cards and yellow is not a colour I use often so this was a tricky one for me.  That was until I remembered the Seed Packet images from Cardmaker's Delights.  Well, that was my starting point, then I delved into my stash and the rest is history.  I am really enjoying using up my stash at the moment.  I dug out a pile of old papers and they are actually starting to go down now.  Such a lovely feeling.  Once they are gone THEN I can buy more!  What a great incentive eh! lol

Thanks for looking,

VINTAGE SCRAPS

Hi everyone

Well, I have only just got this card photographed, so we are on to up to date makes now.

I started making this card, got the basic layout done, and you know the feeling, I just did not like it at all.  I went to bed that night feeling so dejected.  The following day I had to really make myself continue.  But once I had got all the embellishments on with the lace, flowers and pearls, well it looks different altogether and it has transformed it into something I am quite pleased with.  This just goes to show we should reserve judgement til the end!  I could very easily have shown it the bin and now I am pleased I did not.

This is very much a card made from scraps and stash which makes it even more pleasing for me.  I just love using up scraps as a lot of you know.

90th VINTAGEY WISHES

Hi everyone,

I am here today with a card which I made for my Mum to give to a friend of hers for her 90th birthday.  I was asked to put numbers on this card.  I find this really hard to do to be honest, and my personal feelings are that it can bring a design down and sometimes make it a bit tacky.  That is just my own view, whereas I know most people like to see numbers on a card.   SoI had a bit of a dilema, then I remembered I had some number charms.  Well they were my saviour.

I used this lovely Vintagey postcard topper from Cardmaker's Delights and then delved into my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts/Live and Love Crafts.

Thank you for looking, and a very Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow.

VINTAGE SEWING CARD

Hi everyone,

Another card from me today.  This is a card which I made way back last May.  I still love making this type of card and it is inspiring me, looking at this photo, into thinking I should make some more.  I just love the image from Cardmakers Delights.

The lovely Tim Holtz diecut at the top is from a set I bought from eBay, but I think I NEED that die! lol  The other die-cut is a lovely border die which is a JOY die available from Noor Designs UK.

As always, thanks for looking today,

DREAMY VINTAGE

Hi everyone

Well I think itis time I shared a card for a change.  I love this dreamy Vintage image which I think would be from Cardmaker's Delights.  I was told recently that their site has closed, so I don't know what has gone on there.  I keep meaning to message tracy and check she is ok.

The bunting die is a Joy die purchased from Noor Designs UK, some of the flowers and embellishments are from Live and Love Crafts and the rest are from my stash.

I was really happy with the finished result of this one.

Thanks for looking today,

ANOTHER TOUCH OF VINTAGE

Hi everyone,

I am here with a very quick post this morning to share another card I made using another of these lovely Vintage images which came from Cardmakers Delights.  The last I heard was that the shop had closed, I do hope it is opening again and they were just away on holiday or something like that.

The border die is a JOY die available from Noor Designs UK, as were the flowers (a lovely Christmas present!)  The ribbons came from Live and Love Crafts, as did the lovely pleated trim at the foot of the image.  The pearls were another lovely Christmas present and everything else came from my stash.

There are two challenges I would like to enter this into.  Both are 'Love' themed challenges and as I have used these lovely heart charms and the bark hearts from Live and Love Crafts, along with the dreamy appearance I think this fits the bill perfectly.

Live & Love Crafts Challenge (Love is in the Air)

Noor Designs UK (Love)

As always, thanks for looking today and have a very Happy Sunday!

CMD - ONIONS!

Hi all

You know what it is like when someone asks you to make a card for a male?  Well, my heart dropped, but I am always up for a Challenge, and I really did not like to say no this time, so off I went on my merry little way of struggle!  I was also asked for this to be based around the hobby of a Gardener.  Well, I looked through my images and stamps, and the only image that I could find that was anything like appropriate was a topper from Cardmaker's Delights with ONIONS as the feature. Blimey!  How does one make a card using an Onions topper! lol  Anyhow this is what I came up with.

The papers are a mixture from DCWV and  Noor Designs UK ('Spring').   The die-cuts are Tim Holtz and Cheery Lynn.  I could not resist adding the cheesecloth, and I found the little carrot buttons and the wooden leaves in my stash.

The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink and I have added Frantage.  That actually transformed it in my view.  Then I carried the design to the inside adding a pocket in which is slotted a Kraft Tag.

So, there we have it!  At the same time, I made another male card alongside this one.  I very rarely just make one card at a time!  I will post the second card on Friday for you to see.

LAVENDER scented Easel Card

Hi all

I have come across another card which I made in March last year which I have not blogged.

Actually I am working on a very tight deadline at the moment, so although it may go quiet on my Blog for a few days I will be back as soon as the pressure is off.

The gorgeous Vintage image is from Cardmaker's Delights.  And again you will see I dug into my stash for the embellishments.  Some of these were purchased locally.   I have included in this Easel Card a lovely little bar of Lavender Soap.  Oh WOW it makes the whole card smell divine!

The die-cuts are from Marianne designs and Tim Holtz.

Thanks for looking today,
