PENNY BLACK CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone,

Yes I was very into Christmas when I made these cards I am posting this week.  In fact I was making Christmas cards right throughout the Summer months.

So, this card was made using a a lovely Penny Black image which was stamped up with this quirky little sentiment some years ago by a lovely friend of mine.  We had such a lovely Summer that year, it was when I was first introduced to stamping.  Well, when I was looking through my stash I came across this image and new I wanted to use it right away.

I have added an assortment of die-cuts including the lovely Window which has pearls added for effect.  Minimal embellishments have been added this time.  Unusual for me I know!  Anyhow I hope you like it.

As always thank you so much for stopping by,

PENNY BLACK ALTERED GIFT BAG

Morning everyone

You may remember a couple of posts ago I rambled on with a story about a very happy Summer?  Well this is another panel which I have used.  This one was a de-embossed panel (well that is my name for it).

My friend used this lovely Penny Black image.  Wen I did get onto stamping I think Penny Black images were probably oneof the first I used.  I gathered quite a collection of those lovely wooden stamps and looking at this here I am thinking I should dig them out again!

The bag itself is self explanatory really.  A few ribbon bows, some pom pom trim and an embossed panel.  And of coursefinished off withsome baubles.

As always, thanks for looking today,

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago for a friend's Retirement.  I keep being reminded of things I made and had forgotten about, and also of stamps and papers I had forgotten about.
This lovely image is a Penny Black stamp. I really must look this out and use it again soon.

I am fairly sure the papers were from a Melissa Frances pack.

The flowers were from Live and LoveCrafts.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL

Hi everyone

Just a very quick posting tonight from me with a card to share which I made a little while ago for a special male.  The image is a Penny Black Stickaroo.  Would you ever know?  And of course the die-cuts are Cheery Lynn, apart from the trees (which have been Frantaged) and they are Tim Holtz.  The shape has stemmed from a simple C6 card.

FATHER'S DAY/CARD FOR A MALE CHALLENGE at SWEET STAMPING

Happy  Saturday Morning everyone,

I am delighted to be back with another Challenge at  Sweet Stamping    The  theme to this Challenge is entitled  'Father's Day.  Or a card for a male.  Well sadly I do not have a Father's Day card to make so I opted to make a birthday card for our son whose birthday is in June.,

I opted to make an easel card with an insert which could be used as a Desk Calendar.  Then at least it would have a use.  The insert holds a birthday sentiment.

There are two lovely sponsors:

Monthly: The Ribbon Girl
Weekly: Cuddly Buddly - £10 Voucher

Die-cuts:Tim Holtz

Image: Penny Black coloured with Copics
Prima Papers
Everything else from my stash

I would like to enter this into the following Challenges:

Please do pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work here.  It is a lovely Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

MAKE IT MANLY

Hi everyone,

I am here again today with a card I made for the Cheery Lyn Challenge and in addition I was inspired by two more Challenges, where the themes fit perfectly.

I have a different sort of card to my normal sort of thing today.  Well manly cards and me don't always see eye to eye, so I decided I needed to find something to inspire me into doing something different.  I started this a little while  ago and then it got put ot one side (as they do) I dug out my Cheery Lynn dies, and am pleased I have done so, it made me realise how much I miss using them.  The Flourish die I have not used for simply months!  The earthy papers I found in my stash (DCWV I think) and the compass is a die-cut I bought from EBay years ago!

Cheery Lynn dies used:  Flourish, Corner, frames and doiley.

My aim was to achieve something that looked like a chest of drawers that we may find in our Garden Shed.  And the image is of course a Penny Black rubbber stamp which I stamped and coloured with copics.  You know what,j I enjoyed doing this and I will definitely make others like it for men now.

Again I opted for a different shape.  I started off cutting a base card 6.6 inches x 4 inches with the fold at the top.  I then layered a 5.5 inch square card onto this, with the inside hanging down at the back.  The design is carried to the inside of the square card also.

and inside:
I would like to enter the following Challenges:

Shopping OurStash Challenge - What's In Your toolshed? (Cheery Lynn dies)

Thank you for looking, I am off for a well earned coffee now!
