SARAH KAY - Time for Tea

Hi everyone,

This time I have a card made using one of my favourite Sarah Kay images.  I just love Sarah Kay images!  I coloured up this one some time ago and dug it out to make a nice simple card.  Hey I think I pulled it off without adding lots of this and that this time too.  I love thel ayering and embellishing, but this time I just wanted something simple but effective.  This is about as simple as I get! Haha

The lace is from Ribbon Girl.  This was a lovely gift from a friend and I found another scrap in my stash.

The embellishments and cheesecloth came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

Hi again

It is like buses all coming at once today.  If you would like to see my other post today just scroll down.  I have not entered challenges this year yet so I thought it was time I did so.

This card I would like to enter into the Cheery Lynn Challenge - Tickled Pink

I love these Cheery Lynn frames and flowers. In fact I am loving making the flowers too.  The photo is not easy to see but I have inked the flowers so they are tinged with pink.  I have used pieces of a Cheery Lynn Flourish die-cut too.

I love this Sarah Kay image which I have coloured with Coplics.

CHRISTMAS CARD AND CO-ORDINATING CARD GIFT BAG

I am back again with my second posting today.

Well, you know what I am like, I got a bit carried away with the Sketch for the challenge at The Shabby Tearoom

Well, I enjoyed making the card gift bag so much that I found myself making another one but this time a Christmas one.

Again it is going to be photo heavy.  It is easier than trying to describe what I did.

This time I used a lovely Sarah Kay image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  The papers are Crea Diem and Maja from Live and Love Crafts.

The Lace tree which is on the inside of the card, and also on the front of the bag is made of strips of pre-gathered lace.  I got this idea from Amelia
I am in awe of Amelia's work, and when I emailed and asked if I could take inspiration from her tree and have a go myself I got a lovely reply.  Do pop over and take a look at Amelia's Blog, it is full of lovely creations.

Again the Sketch has been followed to the inside of the card but this time I have moved the image to the centre of the bag as it just was not going right at all.  So, this I would also like to enter into the Challenge at The Shabby Tearoom

Again, thank you for looking, and a happy weekend to you all too.

GDT AT CHEERY LYNN - DOUBLE ZIG ZAG CARD

Hi and Good Morning everyone,

I am here today sharing another card as Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn for the month of August.

I opted to make a Double Zigzag Card card following a lovely Tutorial which can be found
HERE    I love this shape and will definitely use it again.  Doesn't it show the gorgeous die-cuts and Pion papers off lovely!  The Sarah Kay image is centralised and framed on the inside using the Felicity Doily Die.  The card is edged with the fabulous Dancing Doiley Borders  and I am in love with these gorgeous 'Darling Daisies'  I opted to give the band a ribbon closure as the card is so bulky and embellished the front using the Daisy Strip to form the flower and Tropical leaves.  You can tell I had such fun making this.

The first photo shows the card fully closed:

The second photo shows the card open:

The third photo shows the card semi open/closed:
And finally a close up of the side panel:

RED WHITE AND BLUE

Hi everyone

Today I have a card to share which I made following the theme of 'Red, White and Blue'.  I have been playing with my dies again and really enjoyed making this card, including the handmade flowers from the Cheery Lynn dies. I am loving working with these flower dies and am finding the border die makes a lovely substitute for lace.   It also made a lovely change to be working with such lovely vibrant colours.  It made me think I should do this more often.  Perhaps that is a good excuse to buy more papers! lol

Cheery Lynn dies:
Anastasia Border
Polynesian Sails Oval
Sunflower doily
Build a Flower #1

Papers:  Marianne Creatables

PAPERCRAFT ESSENTIALS MAGAZINE ISSUE 90

Hi everyone

I am here today to share my news with you.  I was both shocked and excited to receive an email from the Editor of the lovely Papercraft Essentials Magazine asking me to do a commission for them.   This was to be part of  a Pull out and Keep feature for Issue 90 which has now been published.  I am not allowed to Blog my cards for six months yet but can show you a copy of the magazine.

Well, I was overjoyed when I received my copy not just because my creations are published BUT one of my cards is featured on the front cover!  How proud am I!  AND in the back, where the following month's magazine is advertised one of my cards in next months issue (91) is shown too.

I have submitted 3 commissions so far, so should have more cards published in Issue 91 and 93.  AND I am loving it!

So, this is the magazine, and one of my cards is on the front.  It is available for sale in the shops now.

A huge thank you to all my followers for such lovely support and comments, and a very warm welcomer to my new followers too.

I am one happy bunny!
