March Inkspiration Challenge

I feel like these Mondays come around faster and faster these days.  The best part about Mondays is the new SSI Challenge.  This week, we have the INKspiration challenge which means you need to design a project based on this fun Spring image:

It is hard to focus on Spring, since the Stella storm hit my area pretty hard and there is still tons of snow.  My hope is that if I decorate and create for Easter it will help thaw out our current situation.  I decided to focus on the colors and the objects in the image to create this card:

Instead of a wreath, I made a basket with the Basket Bunch bundle.  I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base and did some background stamping with the eggs.  I added a strip of the Tip Top Taupe envelope paper.  My basket consisted of fun images stamped and cut using that great bundle.  The eggs are double layered and how sweet are the chocolate bunny and peep?  The other colors are Mint Macaron, Pool Party and So Saffron.  The sentiment is punched with the classic label punch and layered on some Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon.  For a complete list of supplies, check out the list below.

Now its your turn to create a project based on this image and upload it over at SSI.

February Mystery Challenge

Another Monday and another challenge from SSI.  Today we have the mystery challenge, check it out:

I thought it would be fun to do a flip card because LOVE the flip card die and all the fun dies that come with it.  It had been awhile since I have played with it.  Here is my card:

So hopefully you get that I was also going for the Easter theme and I used all those pretty colors.  The white honeycomb is supposed to be part of a little critter.  Here is the inside:

The Easter Bunny!  This was a challenge for me, but I like how it turned out.  I should explain a few things.  The eggs floating around the front and actually balloons with the "tie" snipped off.  I also created some grass with the fringe scissors for my bunny to hide in.  The bunny was made with the Flowers and Friends stamp set and Festive Flower Builder Punch.  I embossed the Bermuda Bay piece with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  The Blushing Bride floral DSP comes from the Love Blossoms DSP stack.  And finally the Hippity Hoppity comes from And Many More, such a wonderful all occasion stamp set!  I also punch a Whisper White oval to write a message and sign the card.

Thanks so much for checking out my project today.  Now it's your turn to give it a go.  Create your project using any three elements from above and upload it over at SSI!

Suite Sayings with Remarkable You

There are so many fabulous new stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog.  But we can't forget the amazing Annual Catalog and the awesome sets in there.  So today I am using one from each!  Suite Sayings is a great stamp set for lots of spring events, so I thought I would pair it with a flower from Remarkable You.  Here is my card:

So I really love this card and it ended up working out better than I thought it would.  I knew I wanted to use the lilies, so I stamped them on Shimmery White with Black Archival Ink and used Blender Pens to color them in (with Blushing Bride and Garden Green).  I added some Gold Dazzling Details to the center on the flowers.  The on the other side I matted some floral paper from the Love Blossoms DSP stack on some Garden Green card stock.  Then I stamped my Easter sentiment in versamark on vellum and heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder.  The vellum mutes the floral paper.  I finished the card off with a bow embellished paper clip from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to look at all the other projects combining old and new stamps sets over at SSI!

Easter Cards

Easter is definitely early this year and where I live, I am just hoping the snow is all gone!  It would make for a challenging egg hunt though, especially if we didn't dye the eggs.  We are spotlighting Easter Cards today at SSI.  There are several Easter stamps in the Occasions Catalog so we have lots of options.  Here is my card:

I chose to use the In Colors that will most likely be retiring this year.  I just love them...so soft and so pretty and perfect for Easter.  I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color in that stamp and then a blender pen to color the in the bunny.  It might be hard to see in the picture but I added some Dazzling Details on the bunny's belly and tail.  So fun!  Be sure to check out all the fabulous projects over at SSI!

Happy Easter

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.  Our little girl was so excited by her Easter basket that she had asked if we could call the Easter Bunny to thank him.  I think we will have her write a note instead.  Here is a quick lay out I made this morning using this years photo with the Easter Bunny.

I decided to used the Patio Party paper because it was so fun and it had butterflies...I love butterflies.  This layout did not take long, one of the many reasons I love using SU! products...the projects create themselves sometimes.

And here are two Easter cards I created for a customer, I had to keep some samples for myself.  Again more butterflies, but this time instead of setting them off with a rhinestone, I added some Dazzling Details for some sparkle.  And how awesome if that flower from the Oh, Hello stamp set?  Then I tried my hand at some punch art to make a bunny.  I had some of the Flirtatious DSP from last year for the background.

In a little but but we will be off to my parents house from an Easter Egg hunt and Easter dinner, but I had to share my quick Easter projects with you.  Hoppy Creating!  :)
