Just Saying Hello to Magenta Madness

I am back on this beautiful Tuesday with a card I cooked up quickly using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.  Here is a look at the fabulous sketch:

So when I see a sketch like this, I think I need to show off the fabulous Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up!  I am in love with the Flowers for Every Season DSP because it showcases the new in colors.  I truly love them all, but I haven't played a lot with Magenta Madness, until today.  Here is my card:

I started with a Magenta Madness card base and layered on that gorgeous floral DSP.  I added the stripes for a fun contrast.  For the top banner, I embossed some Just Jade with the Subtle Embossing Folder, a must have for anyone who likes to emboss paper.  I was going to add Just Jade ribbon behind the sentiment but then I remembered I had the Gingham Bumblebee ribbon and had to go that route.  The colors are so fun that it just seemed like pattern mixing was the way to go.  I used the sentiment from the Tasteful Touches stamped on Whisper White cute with my Stitched Shapes circle dies matted on a Just Jade scallop circle.  There are also some in color enamel shapes hidden in there.

I love how fast this card came together.  Now if I can just get off my butt and send my cards!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

Just Add Ink to New Wonders

Well hello there world!  I am back again, hoping to find more time to create and share my creations with the world. I thought I would start with a few online challenges.

Here is today's creation:

I found a great sketch over at Just Add Ink.  Here it is:

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base and mounted some of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper on some Balmy Blue.  I made that paper even prettier by coating it with Frost White Shimmer Paint applied with a sponge dauber.

I used the adorable hostess set, New Wonders that I borrowed from a friend and colored her in with various Stampin' Blends (Light Call Me Clover, Light, Balmy Blue, Dark Blackberry Bliss, Light Petal Pink) and covered her in Wink of Stella for her sparkly look.  Of course I cut her out with the Stitched Shapes Dies, my absolute favorite dies!  I added some iridescent sequins for some more sparkle.  Here is a close up:

Here is a look inside:

There is another image from the New Wonders stamp set all colored in with Stampin' Blends.  I also used a sliver of the same DSP on the side.   Here is a closer look at my little fairy:

Thanks so much for checking out my project today!  I hope to be back soon with more creations!

My Favorite New Ribbon and Fond Farewell

Today over at SSI the designers are sharing their favorite new accessory from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  For me it has to be the Finely Woven Ribbon in the 2017-2019 In Colors.  I have a few projects showcasing each one of these fabulous colors and a different way to use the ribbon.  Some are projects you have seen before.  Up first is a card from my open house:

Here I just took the Berry Burst Finely Woven ribbon and used it to break up the pattern of the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper.  I didn't tie a bow or anything, just kept it simple.  Also, how fabulous is this color combo?  I also used an awesome new bundle, Label Me Pretty which has a great new punch!  I added a bit of shine with half of a silver metallic doily.

You have already seen this card, but here is the same ribbon in the Fresh Fig color where I just tied a simple knot.

I had already shared this card as well, but wanted to show it off again!  How pretty is this bow?

Now how about some projects that aren't card?  I gave away little goodie bags at my open house and used a lot of this fun ribbon!  Here is my bookmark:

This was simple, just cut a two inch piece of card stock and use the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  The punch already makes a space to thread your ribbon through.  I paired Fresh Pig with lemon Lime Twist here and didn't really fuss too much with ribbon.  The flower stamp is from the Blooms and Wishes set.

Finally here is a little tea bag holder made with my favorite tool, the Envelope Punch Board!

The Fresh Florals DSP is definitely one of my favorite and it worked great to make a little envelope for a tea bag.  I also used some other favorite new products, listed below.

Finally I have to finish off this post with a Fond Farewell to the fabulous ladies over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration!  I have truly enjoyed creating with you, but it is time for me to step down off the team to spend more time with my family and working on my stampin' business!  I hope to create along with your challenges and wish everyone the best.  Head over to SSI right now to see the other designers favorite accessories.

Naturally Eclectic DSP

The new Designer Series Paper in the 2017-2018 catalog is so wonderful!  It was hard for me to pick a favorite for Friday Favorites.  But I did, the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper:
Just look at all those beautiful colors and patterns!  I made a few cards to share with you today:

There isn't much stamping on this card because the paper is SO PRETTY!   I started with a Soft Sky card base and added a Peekaboo Peach layer under the DSP.  I used the Eclectic Layers thinlit dies to create the Night of Navy die cut.  The die only cuts the insides out so I fussy cut around it.  I used the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes dies for my sentiment and some of the Berry Burst Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon.

This card showcases the gems in the Designer Series Paper.  And instead of the Oh So Eclectic stamp set, I used the You're Priceless stamp set because it does coordinate with the Eclectic Layers Dies.  I used a Night of Navy card base with a Soft Sky background.  I balanced the gem paper with some Lemon Lime Twist stamped with my sentiment.  For the actual gem, I sponged some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with Lemon Lime Twist and ran it through the Big Shot.  Then I cut the outline in Lemon Lime Twist and glued the sparkly pieces on.  So fun!

For this card you can really see all the colors in this DSP and the beautiful water color effect.  I used a Emerald Envy card base and added the chevron print over top.  On Whisper White I stamped the leaves twice without reinking to get two shades of Emerald Envy.  Then I added my flower which was stamped in Peekaboo Peach with a Berry Burst die cut over top.  I did some background stamping with Soft Sky and added the sentiment in Berry Burst.  I added a strip of the copper trim and some rhinestones for some sparkle.

It is clear that I love this paper!  To see some of the other favorite Designer Series Paper from the gals on the Design Team, head back to SSI.

Eastern Palace Projects

Today over at SSI, our designers are sharing our favorite suite from the new catalog.  The catalog was released to everyone yesterday...and I placed a huge order.  I am so very excited about getting my goodies.  We were only allowed to pre-order a select few items.  So in selecting my favorite suite, I decided on going back to the Eastern Palace Suite.  There is just so much to do with these fabulous products and I have 5 projects to share with you!  First up is a thank you card highlighting some great DSP and the awesome thinlits:

The color combination here is so pretty, I just love Tranquil Tide with Dapper Denim.  And those thinlits make the COOLEST die-cuts.  I added a strip of the gold vinyl stickers for a touch of shine.

Up next is probably my favorite:

So these thinlits really do create amazing things.  This card was so simple but I just love it.  I did cheat and use the Gold Faceted Gems which are amazing!

Here is a card using a pop of the fun Lemon Lime Twist:

I love Lemon Lime Twist!  And I love it paired with Dapper Denim with the gold accents.  I let the DSP be the focus but did add some tone on tone stamping with the little fan element (which makes me think of mermaids).  I decided to use my layering circle framelits and added some of the gold vinyl stickers to finish it off!

Here is a gift tag or bookmark:

I just wanted to have fun way to use those tassels!  And again, those thinlits are so fun to play with!

And finally this card is me trying to creatively stretch a bit:

I love these two colors together.  You will see me pair them up a lot I am sure!  I made my own background by randomly stamping all the circle in the stamp set on Lemon Lime Twist in Fresh Fig ink.  I used a scallop circle to cut out the intricate doily-like die cut.  I added some of the Fresh Fig 1/2 inch cotton ribbon.

So have I convinced you to get these products yet?  I swear I could spend all day in my craft room and create so many different projects with this suite.  Right now I will say its my favorite.  However when I receive my first order, that will change.  Head over to SSI to see what the other designers picked for their favorite suite!

May Sketch Challenge

The Eastern Palace Suite is now available for everyone to buy in two special edition bundles; one with the DSP, stamp and coordinating card stock and ink and another with all of those goodies PLUS the amazing coordinating thinlits.  I have had these products for awhile but haven't really played with them too much.  But when I saw this month's sketch challenge for SSI, I knew I could use them.  Check out the sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with some of the new Tranquil Tide card stock for my base and added a layer of the Eastern Palace DSP.  For the banners, I used two strips of the DSP as well including a gold foil piece.  The thinlits quickly made all of those super fun intricate die cuts.  For the larger Tranquil Tide piece, I did just use my paper snips to cut them out.  Most of the thinlits don't actually cut out the images fully, but with scissors or some circle dies you can easily cut them out completely.  The purple color is Fresh Fig and it is so pretty!  I stamped my "hello" sentiment in Fresh Fig along with the Tranquil Tide bracket-like pieces.  I finished my card off with a gold tassel and a star like image stamped tone on tone with Fresh Fig and cut out with the dies.

Here is a close up of all the die cutting:

So yeah, this set is a must have and I feel like I could spend a whole day playing with the stamp set and dies!  But you can use whatever you would like to this week's challenge.  Head back over to SSI and upload your card today!

Farewell Moroccan Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! really puts out fantastic Designer Series Paper.  I pretty much love most of them.  So when the time came for the designers to pick a favorite retiring DSP, I had a hard time selecting one.  I love so many of them.  At the end of the day I selected the Moroccan DSP because of the rich colors and fun patterns.  I made 5 cards using this DSP.  Check them out:

This uses one of my favorite sketches from our sketch challenge back in October.  It is a great sketch to show off DSP and I made it really easy by adding a Hello die cut.

Next up is a Gate Fold card:

This was pretty easy although not what I initially intended to do.  I was going to use the large medallion from the stamp set but I ended up using the lanterns instead.  I do like how it turned out.  And a Gate-Fold card is so easy!

Here is some more Emerald Envy:

Although not a coordinating product, I thought the Boho Chic embossing folder went perfectly with this DSP.  I decided to make this a fun birthday card.

This one is my favorite and it is by far the simplest:

I just love this fancy chair from the In This World stamp set.  I stamped it in Early Espresso and used Stampin' Write markers to color it in. Just a sheet of the kaleidoscope paper with coordinating colors in the background is all I needed for this card.

And my final card, which was actually the first one I created:

I just did my best to place my circle framelit around the center of one of the color bursts and layered it over some of the more muted patterns in the Designer Series Paper.

Hopefully you can see how universal the Moroccan Designer Series Paper is.  I created five very different cards for all sorts of different occasions.  To see some of the other favorite retiring Designer Series Papers, head over to SSI.

April Color Challenge

I love creating handmade cards, but I have to admit, I am not always great about sending them.  This month, I am making a pledge to send/give a card a day.  I have so many stockpiled from creating for my blog, so it really shouldn't be hard.  Plus I think a hand-stamped card would brighten anyone's day!  The first card I sent out was the one I made for today's color challenge over at SSI.  Check it out:

I treated myself to some high ticket goodies over Sale-A-Bration and so I am just getting to using some of them.  I grabbed the new Flourishing Phrases stamp set for this card:

I did a gate fold card.  I grabbed some of the Daffodil Delight floral paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack for one side and a piece of Cucumber Crush embossed with the Petal Burst folder for the other.  I stamped the big flower in Daffodil Delight and fussy cut it.   Then I layered it over some stamped leaves and then matted that on some Chocolate Chip.  Of course the flower needed a rhinestone.  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip as well.  Here is a peek at the inside:

I took the large flourish and stamped it off twice to give a very light appearance.  I added some of the floral washi tape in Cucumber Crush from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape.  Of course I made a custom made envelope as well:

This card came together super quick and it was so easy.  I love the bright colors.  I am looking forward to hearing what the recipient thought of it!  I am also looking forward to seeing what you can create with these three colors.  Head over to SSI and upload your project today!

A Forgotten Fox

As I was going through my studio I ran across the Fox Builder punch and realized that I haven't really made a lot with that suite of products.  So I decided to put the fabulous new Occasions Catalog products away and focus on the Foxy Friends stamp, punch and Designer Series Paper Stack.

I kept singing the song Foxy Lady while I was playing with this set, so I decided to pull out the Lableler Alphabet stamp and just use "FOXY" as my sentiment.  I love the whimsical prints in the DSP stack and the colors are so fun.  And I really like having the head popped up for some fun dimension.

This card actually used the Mojo Monday card sketch.

So I may have cheated a bit in only using Annual Catalog products, because I had to use the Stitched Shapes Framelits (which will be in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog).  I had a lot of fun making this card and it came together really quickly as well.  I love the fun prints of the DSP.  This time I used the Fox Builder punch to pop up the tail of my little cutie.  The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set which is in the Annual Catalog and would be perfect to get if you are earning the Sale-A-Bration Designer Tin since it has all the labels for your dividers.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my creations today.  Be sure to stop over at SSI where the other designers are showing off their forgotten favorites from the Annual Catalog.

Pop of Paradise and One Flirty Flamingo

Hopefully this you are as excited about the weekend as I am.  Fridays are the best and this one is even better since I just got to enjoy a fun relaxing snow day yesterday.  I wish I could say I stamped all day, but I actually just enjoyed time with my kiddos!  Today I am sharing a fun little card for you using a stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  This set features a very fun flamingo and its perfect because over at SSI we are sharing our favorite animal stamps.

I started with a Wild Wasabi card base and added some Whisper White that had been embossed with the Petal Burst folder.  I used a strip of the Flirty Flamingo envelope paper and then stamped that Flamingo in Flirty Flamingo ink and layered it on Flirty Flamingo card stock....say that five times fast!  I added the Hello sentiment stamped in Wild Wasabi and then some enamel shapes.  Here is the inside:

Since it is a Hello card, I left lots of space to write a little note and just added my coy little bird peeking around some leaves.  I really love this little guy, he just makes me happy!

I love the fun animal stamps that we have in all of the Stampin' Up! catalogs.  Head over to SSI to see what some of the other designers chose for their favorite animal stamp!

Lunchbox Notes

I really want to be that awesome mom whose kids get nutritional Pintrest worthy lunches complete with a sweet note, but most days the kids are lucky I remember to pack them a lunch at all.  And I actually forgot a drink for my daughter once.  Still I like to surprise my daughter with a note in her lunch every now and again.  And I think it might be cute to do for my son, even though I am usually in the next room when he eats lunch at Pre-School (I work in the office there).  So when I saw the cute stamp set Just Keep Swimming in the 2017 Occasions catalog, I knew it would be perfect.  Here are some quick and easy card I made with this fun stamp set along with the Brights Color collection:

These little stamps are just adorable and even though some are two and three step stamping, they were really easy to make.  I just took some card stock cut 3" by 6" and scored at 3".  The background paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (and the Neutrals).  I also created matching envelopes with that DSP using the Envelope Punch Board.  Here is a look at each card:

I used the Watercolor Wash background stamp for this one and added some White Perfect Accents for bubbles.

These gummy bears are so adorable!

How yummy are these macarons?

This monster might be my favorite.  I am definitely going to make some Valentines with this stamp!

For this one, I used the Gold sheet from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  I stamped the gem in black and then added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to make it sparkle!

These cards we so easy to make!  I would even say that they were quick and easy just like the cards featured over at SSI.  Head over there for more quick and easy cards!

September Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the September SSI Blog Hop.  We have a very cool hop for you today, a mystery supply hop!  We each sent another designer three different items to use on a card.  It is like those cooking shows where you have to include crazy ingredients and make something yummy.  Fun, right?  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Tobe at The Craft Sea. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

So Tobe sent me my goodies.  And I was so excited to create with them, I forgot to take a picture of the items.  Seriously, I made the card when I was supposed to be cleaning up my craft room.  Here it is:

So I will tell you exactly what she sent me; the striped background DSP, the houndstooth DSP, the adorably colored in scarecrow and the burlap ribbon.  The only items of those I had when I got this was the houndstooth DSP.  Although, I must confess the Halloween DSP and the scarecrow stamp set and punch are now in my possession!  I decided to make it a general fall themed hello card and used the sentiment from Badges and Banners.  I also stamped and die cut some tiny leaves.  Here is the inside:

She sent me a few scarecrows so I had to use one on the inside!  I also added some leaves.

This was so fun to do!  Let's see what Cheryl at Create with Cheryl did with the goodies I sent her!

Lunchbox Notes

I always start the year with such good intentions.  I always say, I will make my daughter notes to tuck away in her lunch for her to find during the day.  This year I am going to do it, but I am going to make it easy on myself.  I am going to do it every Monday, because let's be serious, it's hard to go back to school on Monday, and a little note from Mom midday to let you know she is thinking of you would be awesome!  Plus we have a few Mondays off, so I will get a break.  I wanted to keep these notes small, but not too small.  And I decided if I wanted I could make envelopes with them using matching DSP or envelope paper and the Envelope Punch Board, but I don't even really have to do that.  So here are the first four little lunchbox cards I plan on sneaking into my daughter's lunch box:

These were so fun to make.  Here is a close up of each:

This is going to be the first one.  Because who doesn't need a reminder of how much Mom loves you?  And the first day of school is on a Monday, so it's perfect.  I used Crumb Cake and Sweet Sugarplum for this card along with the amazing Baby Bear stamp set.  I now have my go to Baby Card stamp set with this one.  The Three Step Stamping is super easy.  Here is a complete supply list, except the sequins are a preview of a new product in the Holiday Catalog, aren't they gorgeous?

I borrowed this bundle from my upline and thought it would make a fun, little card for my daughter, perfect to brighten her day just like she always brightens mine.  Of course I had to use bright colors here too!  Here is what I used to make this card:

No Bones About It is one of my favorite sets that I never use.  I just love it!  And just because its dinosaurs, doesn't mean my daughter won't love her little note.  I went with some In Colors here; Tip Top Taupe, Emerald Envy and Peekabo Peach.  And I heat embossed the bones in white.  So fun, right?

And finally here is a little fishy fun card.  I used the heck out of this paper making photo albums for my family but I took what I had left and made this little cute card.  I fussy cut the fish out and added some iridescent sequins from the new Tin of Tags Kit in the new Holiday Catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Head back over to SSI for more Back To School Projects!
