Love is, Not just for Valentines day! I got a message from Val in Spain last week saying she had already started her Valentines day cards for her daughters shop! This got me thinking hearts, although this is early I had to make a card featuring a heart and I found this red felt die cut I had cut for a Christmas decoration but not used.
I know its strange to base a card around a small embellishment however I wanted it to blend in not stand out and so this card was born.
I started by hand cutting a 15cm x 125cm card blank in red PMD cardstock then added a cream layer. Next I cut a square at 14 x 14 and die cut the first two dies from Spellbinders adorning Square die and placed a red layer underneath to show through. next I die cut each of the other dies in the set in red and cream and layered them, using foam tape, on top of each other.
A strip of ribbon hold s a tag die cut (sorry not sure which set) then the heart then the centre piece from the tag set stamped with hearts and LOVE.
Enjoy...
Fabulous love card x

ReplyDeleteFabulous card.Red and white is a great combo at any time. I've got to do some Valentine cards/decs for the charity shop for their Valentine jewellery display so wish me luck with that!
Have a great day.

Lovely John, I dont think I will bother with them this year unless I get asked. xxx
ReplyDeleteGood morning John, I don't do Valentine cards unless asked but this would make a very suitable anniversary card as well. Nice design, best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi John. I so love this. You always have great ideas. I wouldn't dream of copying it outright but you might find something very similar in Lynn's shop in the next few days!!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way Ollies start a three day sale today so you can snap up the bargains tomorrow.
