Saturday Colouring...

Happy Saturday,

I love the stamps to die for that match the dies and yet I haven't coloured them much.  Now I have learnt some techniques from Lisa Horton ( and when stuck I text her for colour choices!) I feel like I can give colouring them a go!

For today's colouring Saturday I chose the  Cherry Blossom Branches stamps which matches the Tahiti die perfectly.

I stamped the image in black then coloured it in using the following Graphmaster colours
Flowers - 77, 84 & Blue Grey 3 Leaves - 46, 47 & 48

I used the Blue Grey ( This is a fab range of colours as the grey has a blue tone to it making it match perfectly) to run around the inside and outside borders.

I wanted a simple card to set off the stamped image which I had cut out using the matching die.  I cut the squares section from the Lotus striplet for times into a piece of bright white foundation card and from mounted this over a piece of blue dusk matted with iris.

I cut the lotus striplet separately in white and backed this with the iris and placed it, as shown, across the pattern and added the Tahiti stamped image in the centre.

For the focal element I didn't want to take away form the flowers so i simply added 2 pearl swirls to a Craft Consortium heart charm and added this in the centre.

Enjoy...

  36. Hello John,
I'm sorry I've been missing but we have been visiting our son and daughter in law for a few days. I have tried to look at all the cards and Pin too! Today's is beautiful and I liked yesterday's " kitchen sink" . That made me smile - but I laughed at Mrs Duck's comment of fridge etc as well!!
    Thank you!
    Love Myra

Gorgeous , almost CAS (certainly compared to yesterday's lol!) card. Bit of artistic licence with the colour for cherry blossoms but I'll let you off as its coloured beautifully.
