Good morning,
Today is my job share buddy Pauline's birthday, this card was left on her desk last week for her to open today, I hope she likes it!
I made this card a few weeks a go when there was a challenge at Hand stamped sentiments, using blues, I liked the card I thought I would also done in pinks and here is the result. The brayer worked overtime for these cards but the effect it produces is great so it's worth the work.
Happy crafting, xx

Simply Stampin - Lace
Good morning,
Saturday already! where does the time go? Well if you are anything like me then there is only one way to start your Saturday morning, and that's with a crafty challenge, and this week over at Simply Stampin' we are asking you to use lace on your projects, so head on over there to check out what the rest of the design team have come up with!
I have used my crochet lace trim to make two cute little flowers, it was sew (sorry I couldn't help myself) easy, just a running stitch down one side, pull and voila! a pretty lace flower!
I wanted to go for the vintage style for this weeks card, so out came the Artistic etchings stamps, and they work so beautifully with the Vintage wallpaper embossing folder, I brayered one side of the folder with Pretty in Pink before I put my CS inside, so if you look closely you can see the indentations are pink!
Here is a close up of the tag I made for the front of this card
You can see a bit more of the detail here, I used a a retired background stamp to give texture (but I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it, if someone knows please leave me a comment) I then layered over the script stamp from Charmed stamped in Sahara Sand, I used the little crowns from the Elementary Elegance set in Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzleberry, with the Eiffel Tower taking pride of place, the sentiment is from the Create a cupcake set, all topped off with a knot of Razzleberry ribbon.
If you'd like to get lacey with us then pop over and join in, we'd love to see you there!
Happy Stampin', xx

Hand Stamped Sentiments Colour Challenge
Good morning,
Today I am playing along with a brand new to challenge to me, it's called Hand Stamped Sentiments and this week they have set a colour challenge,
I LOVE all these colours so I definitely wanted to have a go with these. I grabbed all the colour ink pads (although now I have checked the colours I actually grabbed Night of Navy instead of Not quite navy, opps) and my brayer, made a post-it mask for a moon, and started with the crumb cake at the bottom of my paper, next I layered over Baja Breeze, then Marina Mist, and finished off with Night of Navy. Next I stamped the blossoms from Easter Blossoms in Night of Navy and the sentiment from Delightful Dozen. I glittered all the flowers and around the edge of the moon, (very difficult to see in this picture).
I layered the brayered image onto Crumb Cake and this time the correct colour Not Quite Navy CS.
I really enjoyed making this card so while the brayer was still out, I also made a pink version, this time for a birthday.
Don't forget there is still time to join in this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge which is 'Heartfelt'.
Happy crafting!! xx

Challenge combo
Good morning,
It's still lovely here, I have to keep reminding myself that it's only April!
Last week I entered a brand new challenge over at Simply stampin', I really enjoyed entering this challenge, so yesterday I hurried over there to see what this week's challenge would be, it was a colour challenge, here is the palette
Believe me the darkest colour is Bravo Burgundy, even though in this picture it looks like its black! I'm afraid I don't own a camera so all my photos are taken on my phone.
I have used a stamp set that I have had for a while but have yet to ink up called Silhouette sentiments, which can be yours for free with an order of £150 or a party of over that value!
I also dusted off my brayer for this card. I quite pleased with the result and for once I managed it first time instead of ending up with one OK piece after several failed brayering attempts! I have also cut my Bravo burgundy CS into strips and cut to look like ribbon, as I don't have any ribbon in the colours for this challenge.
So here's what I've used
Stamps, Silhouette sentiments, Tiny tags
Paper, Very vanilla CS, Pink pirouette CS, Wild wasabi CS, Bravo burgundy CS, Woodland walk paper pack
Ink, Wild wasabi, chocolate chip
Accessories, Brayer, stamp-a-ma-jig, Jewellery tag punch, Rhinestone.
Hope the teams like it, xx

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with it, so I thought because I had enjoyed last weeks sketch challenge so much, maybe I would be able to find another Sketch challenge and I could combine the two. I found the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge, that had a cute little sketch that was just the inspiration I needed.
So I've done just that and combined these two challenges.
Here's the card I came up with
