Good morning!
Sorry I'm a day late posting what a nightmare! I had actually made my card last Sunday, I made one liked it so much that I made another matching one to keep in my stash, this card will be winging it's way to a friend later this week, (I hope she won't mind too much my posting it before the big day!) I completely forgot to take a photo of it before the challenge, and you can't take a photo in the dark!!
Anyway that enough of me babbling on! So as you have probably already seen this weeks Simply Stampin' challenge is a sketch and a great one I might add!!! (well done the amazing Kirei, for another blinder!) here it is
See what I mean, very versatile!
I decided to use some of the fabulous Candlelight Christmas DSP to make a non-christmas birthday card, I wanted to use the velvet window sheet (completely gorgeous, but a pain to photograph) I have used a teacup as my focal point for the oval element hope you like it!
I can't wait to see how you do with this one, don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's cards they are amazing!!!
Keep Craftin' xx

Simply Stampin' Colour Challenge
Good morning!
It's that time of the week when the next challenge over at Simply Stampin' is revealed, we had a great response to our sketch challenge last week so I hope that you will love the colours we have for you this week!
It's a little cupcake shop!! Its hard to see in this picture, but I scored the blue panel at the bottom to try and make it look like wood panelling, the awning was made using the word window punch! I also added alittle decadence to the cupcakes by adding pearls for decoration.
I hope you like my little shop front card as much as I enjoyed making it, I'd love to visit you and see what you can do with these gorgeous colours!
Plus don't forget to visit the rest of the DT and leave them some love, we all like comments!
Happy stampin', xx

I made this card a few weeks ago now, for a friend at work Fiona, who celebrated her birthday at the beginning of this month and I have been desperate to share it with you ever since, it uses what has to be my favourite stamp set from the current mini, (only available until the end of this month, boo hoo) Create a Cupcake.

Sketching with Aviary
Good morning,
It's Saturday morning, so that means we have a brand new challenge for you over at Simply Stampin', and this week we have a sketch for you.
Don't forget that the sketch is just a jumping off point, so you can stick exactly to the sketch and keep it simply or you can use it as your starting point.
I decided to use the layout as my background and added some extra details. I wanted to use my Aviary stamp set, I loved these stamps as soon as I saw them, it must be my love of owls that drew me to it, plus I love all the different cage shapes.
I pulled out a colour combo from my trusty Colour Coach, I went with Calypso Coral, Riding Hood Red and Basic Grey, believe it or not they work really well together, check it out!
See what I mean don't those colours look pretty together!! I made my own DSP using the Aviary cages and my stamp-a-ma-jig, plus the Basic Grey marker and my Spritzer tool. there is a small strip of DSP from the Domestic Goddess range running underneath the greeting, topped off with the Lace Ribbon border punch, which I threaded some ribbon through. I also added a few flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch.
I hope that my card has inspired you to join us this week, and have a go with our sketch! Can't wait to visit you to see what you've come up with!

Simply Stampin' Colour Challenge
Good morning,
Its so cold outside today so I hope that you are snuggled up warm inside with some crafty project to fill the time. I have finished my Christmas cards now - phew! But I do still have a few presents to wrap. I like to make a few presents each Christmas, last year I made Chili Jam, and this year I've made sweet treats for a few friends, delicious Chocolate and pistachio fudge. So I decided I would use this weeks colours to make cute little gift bags for my fudge.
I thought these colours would be perfect to make little traditional Christmas pudding bags.
They just need to be filled with the yummy fudge, I hope my friends will like the bags and enjoy the sweet treats inside!
To make your own bag simply cut two circles from Chocolate chip CS and run then through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder. Next cut two scallop circles from Vanilla CS using the Scallop circle die, glue these to the top of the Choc Chip circle and cut away the excess. I don't have a small circle punch so I used the centre circle from the medium Daisies die in Cherry Cobbler CS, you will need six of these. Lastly for the holly I cut four ovals in Wild Wasabi CS with my Oval punch, scored them in half and cut semi circles to give them a holly shape, glue these to the top of your scallop circle icing and you should have two puds!

Halloween at Simply Stampin'
Good Morning!
Well it's my first week as a new design team member with Simply Stampin', and for our very first week the challenge set is Halloween!
My first thought was, I don't have any Halloween stash, but then I thought maybe I can make some. So I pulled out my punches and started to play, I have seen loads of great things made with the owl punch like reindeer, ghosts etc so that seems like a great place to start, I punched out a Basic Black owl body, then using my Word Window punch I punched one of the ends along the side of a piece of Black CS, before using the oval punch to make cool wings, my bat was taking shape, then I thought I needed something for him to sit on, originally I wanted to make a tree branch to hang my bat from but, as my word window punch was already out, I decided to punch out a fence, inking each piece to give depth.
I sponged a punched circle in More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie for a spooky feel, and spritzed the Rich Razzleberry background before layering on Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzazz CS.
Why not grab your punches and see what you can make? xx

A Freshly Made Card
Hello again,
My day is panning out quite well this is my second post for today, and I'm back with a card for a challenge that is new to me, it's called Freshly Made Sketches. Each Wednesday a new sketch is uploaded for us to play along with , this is a fairly new challenge, I'm joining in with week 4, so I'm sure they'd love you to stop by and join in.
The sketch features a tag, I don't put tags on my cards very often but I always like the effect when I do. Here's what I came up with.
A non-crafter may think that all the elements of a card like this are already printed and you just cut and stick, but I really enjoy starting with a plain white piece of paper and ending up with something pretty, which is just what I did with this tag. I decided to leave the image uncoloured, as there was quit a lot of detail in the background. I'm so sad that Bella Toile will be gone forever after Friday, boo hoo.
See you again soon, I hope. xx

Anything But A Card
Good Evening,
I'm hoping that I can just sneak in this entry to the Simply Stampin' challenge this week before the deadline.
As you can see from the title this week we have been challenged to come up with anything but a card, this has been tough for me as on the whole I only make cards.
I decided to make a bag, an excuse to get my big shot working. I used the scallop circle die, to make the bag itself, and the Fun Flowers die to decorate it.
I'm really quite pleased with the result, not bad for my first try anyway!
I have used one of the very bright and funky patterned papers from the Greenhouse Gala DSP packs, and picked out one of the colours from the paper for my flower, finished off with a brights button.
I hope the ladies like it!! xx
