RED & WHITE WEDNESDAY

I love Red and White!  Today I have some treasures to share!

This white Rooster was a recent Thrift shop find

The enamel pitcher is from my Mother
she said it was always on their table growing up
I love old kitchen utensils and this ricer has the best red chippy paint on it
It seems like I can't pass up cute birdies
I don't think these are old but I love them
and they were a thrift shop bargain

Joining in two fun parties today
&

Always,
Linda

I had to get up to see if I have the same rooster on my china hutch. Alas, I do not. LOL

What a beautiful collection of things. I love them all.

Yes, your header lady is very cute. My mom used to use her ricer for 'Mashed' potatoes because she didn't want any lumps. Not any!

Oh Linda, I'm just crazy about that enamel pitcher! It's so pretty, and I don't think I've seen anything like it. My Grandma always cooked with the white enamel pots with the red rim and handles, and so of course I have to have some too!
Happy REDnesday!

I would have loved to have done the bathroom in black and white but had to work with the almost free supplies. Next time, oh yes, that is the look I will be doing. I love your mom's pitcher by the way and the new blog header. It is fun to keep switching things out.

As always a collection of wonderful treasures. I'm especially liking the white birds that look old, but like you say are probably not. Here's why I think they look old....they are fired in a technique that is called Raku. It's a firing that makes the glaze craze and the smoke and fire from burning leaves, grass, cow chips, wood, etc. turns the cracks dark. Thanks for visiting my Don't Mess With Texas post...see ya again soon. Your bloggy looks so Happy Halloweeney!

Linda, my sweet bird lady friend! I love how much you love birds. I am going to remember that when I am thrifting. I may find a new one for you to add to your sweet collection but my goodness girl, do you shop or what! You are absolutely amazing. I am so happy you and your mom had such a great time together. I love the treasure she shared with you. Aren't families the best? Anne

Good Morning Linda! It's such a super fall day here today, but you're in Texas, so I'm not sure what your fall will be like while your on your visit.

I love your reds and whites, especially the rooster and the little birds. Okay, those are white, but I do like the pitcher too! ;-)

I hope you are having a great time!

Happy Friday to you,
Susan

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the files. I'm having fun fixing them up. I am going to miss Rae-Rae more than I can say. Joey is outside most of the time so I haven't bonded with him like I have with RR. She is such a precious little girl and funny too. Hope you are having a great visit with your mom, Linda. Hugs, Deb =^..^=x5

Love the enamelware pitcher! The birds are too cute too! I'm ready to see more Pyrex! I have fallen in love with my pink Daisy casseroles and the butterfly gold mixing bowls. I wish I could find pieces around here. THey are just to expensive with shipping on ebay. I love looking at everyone else's!
