HALLOWEEN FAVORITES

Thank you so much to all of you who participated in the 1st Junkin Finds!  It was so much fun!!  The linky is still up and if you haven't had a chance to check out the posts I hope you will do so!

Since it's the last weekend of October and Halloween I wanted to show you some more of my decorations.  I had so many comments about my 'cubbies' I thought I would give you another look!
These are CD holders stacked together!
They make the best display for all my 'little' things
Right now they are decorated for Fall/Halloween
Next week the Halloween items will be replaced with the Thanksgiving decorations
Many of the fall items will remain until after Thanksgiving
and then you know what happens??
CHRISTMAS!

A closer look at some of the Halloween decorations
These are S & P's just like the hat and shoe above
They make awesome little decorations!
These two are a couple of my favorite Halloween decorations!
This is not Halloween but was a souvenir from Montreal several years ago on an October trip!
Many of you remarked on the pumpkin plate from the Pumpkin Party held last week.  I also have this matching eggplant plate.
The pumpkin plate was found at a yard sale
Months later this was found at Tuesday Morning marked down to 70 cents!!  How I wish I could find two more!

I hope everyone will have a safe and fun Halloween!

Hi Linda,
I really like your idea of having the cubby shelves to display your seasonal pretties.
It really shows them off well. I bet the Christmas display will be full of goodies.

Good evening, Linda. Well, it looks like your first Junkin Finds looks like it went very well. I will definitely be participating in the next one. The past three days hubby, son and myself have been cleaning the house top to bottom... including the garage. Oh my goodness. We've only been here a year but wow, have we gathered the stuff. I think I may have to curb my "collecting" a little bit. :-) How can you pass up all those 50 cent finds???

Again, I totally love your squirrels. I also think the purple cat and the ghost are just adorable. We're all decked out here for tomorrow and will be carving our pumpkins in the afternoon... then we're off to a little Halloween get together at a friend's house.

I hope you have yourself a wonderful Halloween with Mr. ALC and Charlie and whomever else you're spending the evening with.

Hugs,
Susan

You did good hosting your first junkin blog - I like the snow man and the candy corn - do you know where they get candy corn from?

Love,

Linda, that is just brilloiant - using the CD holders to display your treasures! It sure works great, and all of your H'ween treasures are so cute. I love that friendly looking little ghost salt shaker. I'm going to be on the lookout for CD storage at yard sales now! Thank you for linking to Favorite Things Sat. laurie

I'm glad this meme is continuing. But can you respectfully consider changing out the name junkin? My MOM considers rummage sales to be "JUNK" It's reuse, it's green, it's treasure, it's finds, but the items you buy are NOT junk. :) I only purchase treasure myself...

Perhaps Sale Finds, anything but that 4 letter work that starts with J.

I'm so happy that you kept up Debbie's party. I just wanted to say the name is perfect. I say Junkin' all the time. I think it has a fun ring to it and it's how me and my girlfriends describe our beloved treasure hunting! It's totally hip to go junkin'!

Hi Linda ~ Just love your cubbies. I just got one from a garage sale across the street. I can't wait to fill it now.

I am also decided whether to paint it white or leave it as is. I love small spaces like that.
My blog is so new I need something pretty posted soon. ~ Connie
