You're sweet!

There's a new challenge over at the Alicia Bel blog today and the theme is Candy Treats.  Perfect to get those Easter cards done for next month, but I actually went for a birthday card instead using the very cute Gretel...

Ack!  She is so so adorable!  I love her little pigtails!  I matched her up with NitWit Collection papers called One Birdie Lane and the border and speech bubble borders are Lawn Fawn.  And do you like the sentiment?  Great font, I think - it's from the SugarPea Designs Classroom Cupids stamp set.

You can get more Candy Treat inspiration over at the Alicia Bel blog.  Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again soon - ta ta for now!

Alicia Bel new release

The Alicia Bel new releases for this month is now available in store and the design team are showcasing them over at the blog today.  I decided to use the beautiful Elegant Bride...

A very girlie card for me!  This lady is so beautiful.  I coloured her with my new Polochromos pencils and added some Glamour Dust on the roses, her tiara and earrings.  The papers are called Dearly Beloved by NitWit Collections and the sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.  I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die to create the curved border.

Check out the rest of the design team's creations over at the blog here.  I will be back soon - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Shake your thang!

There's a new monthly themed challenge starting today over at SugarPea Designs and this time the theme is Shake That Thing - yep, we want to see those shaker cards!  Yep, they're very trendy at the moment and so much fun to make that I hope you will join us!  Here is my DT make...

I really enjoyed making this card!  It can be used for any soppy occasion like engagements and weddings, but I think I will use it for an anniversary card.

I first die cut a fishtail strip of cardstock and then lined up the heart strip die from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.  I then glued a piece of acetate to the back and then used foam strips around each heart.  I filled each heart with Amercian Crafts glitter along with various sized smaller hearts from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.  I then glued a piece of silver mirri cardstock behind the hearts.  The hearts surrounding this are from the SugarCuts Notched Heart Journal Card die which I stuck on with foam pads to give some more depth.  Lastly, I die cut the arrows from the SugarCuts SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set with some more silver mirri cardstock and stuck these on with some more foam pads.

Here's a closer look at the shaker hearts...

Remember that you don't need to use SugarPea Designs goodies for this challenge but if you the prize will be bigger - instead of $10, the Gift Certificate will be $15!

Visit the SugarPea Designs blog to get more shakey inspiration.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Docrafts DT post so see you then!

I couldn't resist making another shaker card - they are so fun to make!  I used some K and Company papers, a Lawn Fawn Forest Border die and lots of Doodlebug sequins for lots and lots of sparkle!  I'm going to give this card to one of my best friends for her birthday which is in the Winter - she's going to love this!

Okay, I've got one more sneak peek for the new Lili of the Valley stamps and this one is super sweet!

So adorable, right?  It's called Baby Rabbit and I love the sweet little hearts surrounding the image too!  I also used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set and the paper is from the Snow Princess paper pad.  I used a Lawn Fawn border die for extra sweetness!

A new SugarPea Designs monthly challenge!

(Please scroll down for my Lili of the Valley DT post and
deets on winning prizes!)

It's time for a new monthly themed challenge over at SugarPea Designs and the theme is Winter Wishes.  I decided to create a shaker card as they seem to be all the rage at the moment so here my DT make for it...

Isn't he adorable?  And I love that lickle ickle fishy too!  I also used the sweet snowflake stamp to create the background.  The set is called Have An ICE Day and the sequins are by Doodlebug and I used my Lawn Fawn hillside border die again.

You don't have to use a SPD stamp set but you'll win a $15 gift voucher instead of $10.  Check out the deets and the rest of the gorgeous Wintery designs over at the blog here.

I'll be back on Friday with my Alicia Bel and La-La Land Crafts DT posts - see you then!

It moose be your birthday

Hello everyone and I hope you've all had a great weekend.  We had a lovely evening yesterday down at our local pub, the White Hart, who hosted a BBQ, fireworks and a live band.  Unfortunately, we paid for it today with hangovers so I've wasted most of it moping around in my PJs!!

Still, I did manage to make a card tonight - I have lots of friends' birthdays in December so the SugarPea Designs Merry Christmoose stamp set is perfect for them.  Here's what I did with it...

What a great sentiment, don't you think?  And I love the trees in the set and used Colorbox white pigment ink with the snowflake stamp.  And I don't need to tell you how cute that moose is!  The border dies are by Lawn Fawn.

I'm going to enter this card into Squirrel's Snow-vember challenge.

Okay, I am off to bed now - goodness knows I need a goodnight's sleep!  Nighty night!

Isn't he just fab?!  He's my new all time SPD fave!  And the sentiments in this set are so brilliant - not just for Christmas!  I used Trimcraft papers and my Embossalicious dotty embossing folder.  I used lots of foam pads under the circles and elements to create lots of depth.
