Grrrrr, our bloomin' internet is down AGAIN!  Sorry I haven't been around to visit you all - fingers crossed it will get sorted before our long UK bank holiday weekend!!!  Speedily doing this in the local library...they'll be kicking me off soon!!

Anyhoo, it's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet and this fortnight we want to see Rainbows, Clouds or Wings!  Here is my card, which I hope is self explanatory!

I have used cutie Licorice and matched her up with My Minds Eye Darling Dear papers and a Paper Makeup sentiment, My Favorite Things rainbow die and Memory Box Wrought Iron fence die - a perfect little scene!

soRRy You feel so IckY!

No, I haven't forgotten my grammar!! I'm here today with a get well card because I just can't seem to make enough of these in the current horrid weather we are experiencing in the UK!!

This is for a male colleague and love this Paper Makeup Flubu Monster and that sentiment comes with him.  I used my fave Bazzill Smoothies Kraft cardstock for the base and papers from the Crate Paper School Spirit 6x6 pad - brilliant papers with this brilliant image!!  I also used Distress Inks stain in Picket Fence to soften the edges and papers - this is so easy to use for this technique!

And do you like my layout?  I used this month's Quixotic Paperic sketch - hope it has inpired you to play along for a chance to win a £15 prize!  Link your projects up here - I hope you can join in!

That's it from me today!  See you next Thursday but before I go, don't forget to check out the new goodies in store!

Wishful thinking

Hello everyone!  Hope your week is going well - only one more day to Friday and then it's the WEEKEND!  I'm here today with a make using some of my current faves in the Quixotic Inspiration store

This is a Mo Manning for Stamping Bella called Rae with Journal stamp.  The sentiment inside the card is from the Paper Makeup Little Moments Mini Sentiment set.  I used Bazzill kraft cardstock for the card base and papers from Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pad.  I created the flower using my Marianne D Chinese Rose die and used the leaves die for the Marianne D Flower and Leaf dies with beads for the flower centres.

Don't forget to check out the yummy new stock too, including pre-orders of the gorgeous new Sylvia Zet for SCACD stamps!

Fave colour monochromatic challenge over at Take the Pixie Challenge!

(Please scroll down for my Quixotic Inspirations DT card!)

Ooooohhh, today is my first DT card for the Take the Pixie Challenge!  And this week we are challenging you to take your favourite colour (okay, not really challenging) and to create a monochromatic card with it (a bit more challenging perhaps!).  Orange is actually my most fave colour ever but I've made so many cards with it recently that I've lost my mojo with it!  So I decided to go for my second favourite colour instead - teal...

Now I luuuuurve this colour but don't use it often so it was a pleasure to make this card using the ever sweet Wink Pretends - he's delightful, don't you think?! I matched him up with my Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pad (from Quixotic Paperie here) and with a sentiment from the Paper Makeup Sailing By stamp set (here).

You can see the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration here - I hope you get to play along with us for a chance to win a gorgeous Pixie Dust Studio digi!  You don't have to use a PDS image but we love it when you do!

Quixotic Paperie 2nd birthday celebrations - Paper Makeup spotlight!

(Please scroll down for my Pollycrafts Monday and Make It Monday DT posts!)

As part of Quixotic Paperie's 2nd Anniversary celebrations we are throwing the spotlight onto some of the fantastic stamp companies available from Quixotic Paperie and we have another gorgeous stamp company for you this week:

Paper Makeup Stamps - 'Where Beauty and Paper Meet'

Paper Makeup is owned by Katie Cotton and to give you a clue as to where the name of her company came from - Katie is a professional makeup artist. Katie has some fabulous artists contributing to her company including Steve Hammond with the Monsters range, Diem Pascarella's Beautiful Day Fairies, Moody Girls by Cynthia Liu and the Retro Cutie Critters by Diem Pascarella.

But that isn't all, there are also some background and accessory stamps as well as some beautiful word art and sentiments and some fabulous sets all from various artists.

The Paper Makeup Stamps range is available in the UK/Europe at Quixotic Paperie
If you're in the US then you can find the stamps at Paper Makeup Stamps direct!

As part of the celebrations and the spotlight today, we have a PRIZE GIVEAWAY!
Pop on over to the Quixotic Inspirations blog to get all the details and enter the draw to win some fantastic Paper Makeup Stamps and more!

I find the Paper Makeup stamps so versatile and I wanted to try a new technique for me - to colour using my Prismacolors pencils on kraft...

For my first try, I don't think I did too badly!  I'm not 100% happy with the glass and jug so will try with a more neutral colour rather than white!  Any advice on this would be MOST welcome!  Still, I was surprised how easy this was!  I used the Freckled Lemonade Set - it has 4 images plus 5 sentiments all for £8.25 - I think that is amazing value!
I used the masking technique to layer the images and I loved how that came out!  The Bazzill Basics Smoothies Kraft cardstock is brilliant with this technique - soooo smooth that it was so easy to blend the colours on using my Derwent blender pencil.

So now for the inspiration! Hop on over to each of the blogs below to see some fantastic Paper Makeup Stamps fun!

Thanks for joining us and we hope you are enjoying all the Paper Makeup Stamps loveliness!!

I am entering my card into Sir Stampalot's June photo challenge where I took inspiration from the colours.
