Time is priceless...

I'm know I'm posting a little earlier than usual today. But I'm walking out the door now to go out of town for the afternoon. My mother's birthday is tomorrow, so I'm going to the cemetery to take flowers. Who knows...maybe somehow she will know that I am thinking of her.

I wanted to make a masculine birthday card for a good friend, and this new Moments In Time stamp set from Flourishes was the perfect set for the occasion.

The Spellbinders dies I used are Fancy Tags Two and Labels Eighteen . All designer paper is from the Prima Marketing Reflections 6 x 6 Paper Pad . As you can see, there are some great masculine papers in there, as well as others that could be more feminine.

I stamped the images using Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink , and used Tea Dye Distress Ink to age the paper. The cardstock is Suede Brown Prismatics .

I know this is short and sweet, but I've gotta get going. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Dream Big

I have always been a fan of carousel horses, and I think Lauren Pope did a fabulous job illustrating this one in the Enjoy The Ride set from Flourishes.

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The sentiment is also included in the stamp set. I used Spellbinders Labels Four to cut and emboss, then added two clear Mini Rhinestones .

The designer paper is from the new Basic Grey Olivia 6 x 6 paper pad. The ribbon embellishment at the top is Ecru Vintage Pom Pom from Maya Road. I was playing with my new Distrezz-It-All tool, so you will notice that there are a lot of distressed edges. I used Tim Holtz Distsress Inks on the edges, and Clear Rhinestones to embellish.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

The designer paper is from October Afternoon's Fly A Kite paper pad. The card base is Classic Red Prismatics .

Siberian Iris - FS125

This morning when I saw that Dawn was the featured stamper on Splitcoast, I knew I wanted to case one of her gorgeous cards! You can find her gallery HERE and her awesome blog is Dawn...A New Day .

The card I chose to case can be seen HERE . I loved her coloring on that gorgeous flower, so I couldn't resist.

The flower is from the Flourishes Siberian Iris clear stamp set. I stamped on Strathmore 140 lb watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with detail clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. The Tombow marker colors I used are 062,025,925,126 and 177. After coloring I cut out the image and popped it up with foam tape on a panel cut with my Long Rectangle Nestabilities.

This is a close up of the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Sympathy Sentiments clear stamp set. I stamped it on Basic Grey Porcelain paper, then cut and embossed with Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio die cut. I wanted a little more depth to the sentiment, so I used the Ribbon Tags Trio to cut Spring Willow Prismatics to get two more pieces. I adhered one to the top and bottom of the sentiment to frame it. This may not be an original idea, but it's the first time I've thought of doing it. The ribbon is May Arts 3/8" Olive Satin .

For the inside of the card I used another sentiment from Impression Obsession's Sympathy Sentiments .

I used my Martha Stewart Cornice Edge Punch to make the decorative border.

The cardstock is Spring Willow Prismatics dark and Sunflower Prismatics medium. The designer paper is Basic Grey Porcelain.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're all having a great Sunday!

Live your life

I hope you are all having a great Father's Day celebration today! Since my dad has been gone for some years now, I spent a little time stamping.

All stamps used on this card are from the Flourishes stamp set called Life, Love & Lemons .

I stamped the larger lemon tree from the set on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with detail clear embossing powder. I then cut and embossed it using my Labels Four Nestabilities . The image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The green layer around the main image is Spring Willow Prismatics medium, as is the background. For instructions on how I made the mat to match the Labels Four, you may go to THIS POST .

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper pad.

I added three Dew Drops and some May Arts ribbon. The yellow cardstock is Candle Glow Prismatics light.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I will be back tomorrow with something new!

Until then...

NEW! Tombow Markers & Flourishes Release!

I have added Tombow Markers to the inventory at Stamper's Dream. There are 96 different colors, and I have them all in stock.

Tombow's Dual brush pens offer a complete palette of colors with a flexible brush tip and a fine tip in one marker. The brush tip works like a paintbrush to create fine, medium or bold strokes. The fine tip gives consistent lines. The Tombow pen is water-based, non-toxic, acid-free, and odorless. It's the perfect medium for watercoloring your favorite images.

This is the new Waterlily stamp set just released tonight from Flourishes!

This is the new Life, Love & Lemons clear stamp set. Be sure to see THIS SAMPLE made with the set by Kimberly Crawford.

This is the new Patriotism On Parade set. Laurie Schmidlin has two beautiful samples on her blog which you can find HERE .

Lots of Happy Mail!

I just HAD to share some of my recent RAKs with you! I tell ya...I have some of THE MOST awesome friends, don't I?

This gorgeous card is from my friend and DT member Carolyn King aka Cammie! The stamp set she used is Flourishes Nasturtiums . You can read the details of how she made this card on her blog post HERE . Thanks my friend...LOVE your card, LOVE your work, and I love you too! :-)

This is another Flourishes card. It's from my dear friend Carol . She used the Sweet Peas stamp set...and didn't she do it up right!!! You can read the details of her card on THIS BLOG POST . Thank you Carol. You are absolutely the sweetest, and this card is simply stunning!

This beautiful card was delivered in a matching envelope that is also handmade! Isn't it gorgeous? It was sent to me by my good friend Becca . I think the background paper is probably recycled from a calendar. How smart is that!

Thanks Becca...I will treasure this beautiful card and your kind words. You are the sweetest, and I have SO enjoyed getting to know you!

And this darling card is from none other than our very own Oodabug Charmaine . She makes the MOST adorable cards, has the sweetest disposition, and is always such a joy! And she's gonna be a momma again soon! Thanks, my friend! You really put a smile on my face with this card!

My thanks to each of you for stopping by! I will be back soon with something new.
