Gardener Gayle - Seeing Double

Hi all, what a weekend! I have come down with a dreadful cold and sore throat, but we soldier on..
As its Tuesday I have my DT card to show you for Anything goes Challenge Blog and this fortnight the challenge is "Seeing Double" so anything on your project as long as their are two of them. I have used two corner embellishments that I have used embossing powders and heat embossed in white.  I have done the same with the metal butterfly.

The lock I have used Rock Candy crackle paint and then added the metal key which I'm sorry to say I didn't take a close up of as its really very decorative.

The gorgeous image is of course from Saturated Canary.. I believe she is called "Gardener Gayle"

Morning again, today is going to be a very busy day on my blog.. lol.. Anyway I'm back again with my post and project for Anything Goes Challenge Blog and this fortnights challenge is a Colour challenge "Black + One other" (you can use skin and hair colours on your image)
I have gone for Black and a hot pink as my colour scheme.  I kept the image quite plain and in very light shades on pink.. Sorry I can't remember the copics I used. (note to self - remember to write down the colours)

A Gift From the Heart

Morning all, just a quick post from me today.  Over on Anything Goes Challenge Blog we have a new theme
"Alter Something or anything but a card"
Head on over and join in the fun!!

I have quite a few brown paper bags, these are ideal for dvd's, books, cd's etc.  I can't get enough of the new Magnolia collection " Sweet crazy Love" and have probably used these the most.  I also relented and used some of the 12x12 Magnolia papers that can be purchased at the Craft Den.

I tied some lace, pink tulle and string around the handle and attached a charm to add to the shabby chic style.   Used a button and one of my Mum's crochet flowers.

I made this little pin myself, I searched everywhere for the pin stopper.  Tied some more string and cheese cloth to hold up the beads.  The heart behind is one from Marianne Designs and the swirl is one of my favourites.  Everything has been distressed with walnut satin.

Hokey Pokey Christmas Criss Cross Card

Hello all, a quick post from me today just to show you a card that I have been working on.
I recently brought the new Nellie Snellen Christmas stamps from the Craft Den and couldn't wait to ink them up.  For this card I have used the gorgeous Hokey Pokey stamp.
Isn't she just the cutest! I love her little stripy socks!  I decided to try a bigger criss cross card for this card, I think this might be my newest craze!! lol The gorgeous design papers are from MME and are called "Merry Little Christmas" I have inked around the edges in "Vintage Photo" distressing inks. The flowers have been stickled and are all from Wild Orchid.

For the insert I love used various stamps, the tree and cute mittens are from Molly Bloom which I have cut out and coloured and the sentiment is an oldie from Whimsy Stamps all distressed with DI's

This is the back view of the pull out where I have provided a space for writing a personal message.  I flower at the top is a recent purchase from Lynne at the Craft Den and is from Magnolia Doohickey range called "Poinsettia"  I have also used a sliver charm and snowflake spacer to attach it to.

A Merry Little Christmas - R for Recipe Alphabet Challenge

Well hello Friday, I've been waiting for this day all week..lol. Really looking forward to the weekend.  As its Friday that means its a new challenge and letter over on Alphabet challenge blog.  This fortnight the letter is
R for Recipe :
3 flowers,  2 patterned papers and 1 image
I decided to make a normal card for a change just a 6 x 6..
I just love this paper from My Minds Eye - Merry days of Christmas all the designs are so lush.   The only thing I don't like about double sided paper is I hate having to cover one side up!

This darling Magnolia stamp came from the Craft Den and is from the "Merry little Christmas" and is called "Tilda in Christmas Coat" I have coloured her in copics, the green looks very bright in the photo but isn't as bright in real life, although I do think it brings out the green in the Christmas Trees on the design paper.

Copics
R39, 37, 35, 32
E59, 57, 53, 50
YG25,

This mulberry flowers are from Mulberry Crafts UK and Wild Orchid. I love the holly and berrys which I have added a small amount of glitter to! The flowers myselfs have been given a light dusting of twinkle dust and stickles.  The die cut branch is a new addition from MD and has been distressed and glittered too!

I got out my sewing machine for this card for around the edges.  The grunge look around the stamped image was done using Stampelgede stamps and versa colour ink.

The inside view of the card, I like to decorate the insides to give the card more character

I just had to use this absolutely cute elephant digi drawn and designed by the fabulously talented Helen!! Its just so dare cute..
I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page punch to get the lovely boarder and then just mounted a square piece of card stock onto the front which I had decorated using design papers from Prima sweet fairy 6 x 6 pad..

Here you can see the colours a bit better and note that they are a very dark purple for the patches and nails I used a lighter shade..

I used BV25 to colour in some of the flowers, added some stickles, pearls, seam binding and a little butterfly in the corner.  I also used flower soft to make my own stamens.

Here I painted a chipboard number with paperartsy Fresco Finish chalk acrylics then crackle painted over the top.  The gorgeous crochet flower my fabbie Mum made for me and is a double flower.  I just added a sliver spacer and brad to the centre.

I've had another go at shading the background, I must admit that it does make the images pop off the page.  I have used a glitter gel pen to add the shine to the metal parts of the car. I can just imagine this cute little bear driving along a country road with his picnic hamper in the back ready for a Teddy Bears picnic..LOL
