The Antares

The Antares.

The featured vessel of the series Defying Gravity (2009) was The Antares.

The ship design, reminiscent of the Icarus II in the film Sunshine (2007), or a variation on Phaeton from the one-off pilot film Virtuality (2009) (here), was a highlight of the single season series. And like all great ships was indeed a character unto herself in that series.

This is the first of an ongoing series of simple posts featuring Spaceships. Science fiction and spaceship enthusiasts like myself should enjoy these short but spectacular spaceship highlights.

What would science fiction be without our beloved spaceships?

Defying Gravity (Images)

Here at Musings Of A Sci-Fi Fanatic we are always making efforts to deliver homemade screenshots to your favorite science fiction.

The older this writer and camera man gets the more difficult I suspect snapping pictures will become. My enthusiasm for providing images for these posts waxes and wanes, but aesthetically it's how this site works for me.

It will be interesting to see how long I can keep it up or if the posting simply becomes less. Can you imagine? We're already not exactly prolific here. Until that day comes when the camera is retired, enjoy the images. Here are some additional images for our coverage of cancelled TV series Defying Gravity (2009) penned about here.
