Design Team Member Christy took Gemiel's Pagerize This Challenge.  Christy said:

I have had these photos for years. I guess they have been waiting for the perfect paper to scrap them with. At first, I was saving my Echo Park " Life is Good" papers for scrapbooking our current home. However, I reminded myself that new papers will come along shortly and I will inevitably want those...so therefore, use what I have now. Especially if what I have now inspires me.

I have been working on a family album for my son (and for future generations). Documenting the view from our first home seemed a perfect fit for this album. I think it will be fun to compare these photos, taken around the time we moved in, to photo of the day we moved out. When I saw Gemiel's page, I knew it's layout was a perfect fit for these photos showing the view from our front yard.

I also shared the story of how we bought this house. Would you believe our down payment was just $10? The market was pretty hot at the time. If you saw a house, you made an offer. This house was the third home we had looked at on our first day out. We knew it was a good investment. It had been a model home and the builder wanted to sell quickly so they could move on to a new community. I did not have the checkbook with me and the agent needed some sort of down payment to hold the home. So we gave her my husband's lunch money. It was the only cash we had on hand, but it did the trick!

Now it's your turn to take the Pagerize This Challenge.  See all the details at Pagerize this at Scrap Our Stash! OH...and if you are curious, here is our front yard:

Pagerize Gemiel by Sarah

I'm glad I finally found a few minutes to pull this together.
Being in Canada I have lots & lots & lots (did I mention lots?) of winter pictures...
most of which are sitting in my laptop unscrapped since winter is my least favorite season.
I was inspired by the color in Gemiel's LO and dug out and unopened Fancy Pants Kit: Happy Together, I'd been hoarding. It has similar colors and um... was not doing anybody any good gathering dust. All papers and Rub-Ons are from the Kit.
Snowflake Brads are Martha Stewart.
WOOF Chipboard Title was the last piece of Dog Kit I used up yeeeears ago.
Lace is from my auction lot of Vintage Lace.

Pagerize Gemiel by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy sumbitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge.  She said, "I was inspired by Gemiel's use of winter photos because I never scrap mine! I scrapped a couple of photos of my kids in a big snowstorm (by Raleigh standards anyway) from last year. I used Fancy Pants Frosted line, Bazzill cardstock, Fancy Pants stickers, American Crafts Thickers, and TPC embellishments.

Pagerize Gemiel- By Joni

I used the design of Gemiel's layout to create my version using Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers.  I really like the clean lines, minimal use of embellies & white space that helps showcase what I consider mediocre photos...(this is the 3rd layout I've done of this boat trip, so these photos are the "third" best choices from that ride).

Pagerize Gemiel by Karen

Guest Design Team Member Karen submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge #6.  She said, here's my effort to pagerize Gemiel.  I loved the way her title looked so I copied the effect. I stuck thickers onto patterned paper and used a six letter title. I also copied the broad stripe of paper across the lower half of the LO. My color scheme is also kind of similar. I have yellow and green but I'm afraid I just can't face snow LOs at the moment. I made so many before Christmas and now the snow has gone I'm hoping to forget about snow for another year (fingers crossed).

Pagerize Gemiel by Faye

Reader Faye submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge #6. She said, "Hi!!
Here is my layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. I loved the way Gemiel did her title and even though my title was a bit longer, tried to use the same effect. I also was a fan of the rounded corner on the large sheet of pattern paper and all the patterns she used. Gemiel's layout brought a lot of inspiration my way!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

Pagerize Gemiel by Wendy Crowe

Posted by PicasaReader Wendy Crowe submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge #6. She said, "I love this challenge!! I saw the current page and flipped out! I have all these papers in my stash and totally forgot about them! Thanks for the inspiration!! I used a few of the papers from the same collection, and some ribbon and plastic flowers. Nothing like being able to use up the old stash! I used Stickles on everything and added a few snowflake brads. Great challenge!! Looking forward to more fun with you!! Wendy Crowe***

Pagerize This Challenge #6

Winter by Gemiel is our 6th Page to be "pagerized" in our "Pagerizie This" Challenge. Gemiel was chosen by Sarah as the winner of the Pagerize This Challenge #5.

Each month on the 15th we will post a new layout for you to "pagerize" (plagerize, copy, lift, steal) whatever term you want to use. The idea will be - to use the posted layout as your inspiration to create your own layout. You can "pagerize" as much or as little of the original layout as you choose. You may want to make a layout just like the one posted - or you may just want to use something about the layout as your inspiration. It's totally up to you.

Once you've completed your layout - email a picture and brief description to scrappinpsycho@live.comAll entries will be posted here at Scrap Our Stash. The challenge runs through midnight central time on February 12th. The "Pagerizer" (in this case Gemiel), will then choose a winner from all the entries. The winner will be announced on February 14th. Then the winner will be asked to submit a layout for us to "Pagerize" starting on the 15th of February. Then on the 12th of March - the winner will be chosen by the winner of the "Pagerize This Challenge #6" and on and on it goes.

When Gemiel found out she was chosen as winner she said,

"I am really excited to have been chosen as the next Pagerizer. I’ve been out of the scrapbooking loop for awhile due to some life happenings, so this is a wonderful welcome back. I heard on the news today that 48 states have been affected by this past weeks’ winter snowstorms, so I decided to share a winter layout for this challenge. I used 3 different patterned papers from an older Heidi Grace collection for my background. To make the title a little more interesting, I used chipboard letters in different sizes and split the word into 2 parts. I accented the page with snowflake rub ons and a ribbon from my stash. The pictures are the standard 4x6 size mounted on cardstock. BTW, the photos are from winter 2009, we got over a foot of snow during the last snowstorm. I hope my layout inspires you, I can’t wait to see your take on this challenge.
Blessings,
Gemiel
