June Homecoming Challege by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the June HOMECOMING Challenge. She said:

I decided since my family is getting ready to relocate and find a new house, maybe I should use photos I have of our first house for the June Homecoming challenge. These pictures are from the day we moved out of our very first home here in Raleigh, North Carolina. The house has some very special memories, it was the first house my husband and I ever bought, plus it was the house where we brought two of our children home from the hospital as newborns. It was hard to sell it, but we just needed a little more space (like a house with a playroom for example!) In this layout I used both Bella Blvd and MME papers and embellishments. The blank chipboard in the lower right corner is for the exact date these pictures were taken, I just need to look that up! Now it's time to see what you can do for the June Homecoming Challenge!Posted by Picasa

April SPRING FLING Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy has submitted this layout for the April Spring Fling Challenge.  She said:

I am finally getting around to submitting my Spring Fling layout. We are getting ready to put our house on the market so we can move this summer. This past month has been ridiculous, and this past week I've had painters over to paint pretty much the entire house--it's amazing what kind of damage three young children can do to walls. Lots of artwork! Anyway, spring always reminds me of warmer weather, flowers blooming, and Easter. This is a page I did of my youngest daughter at her sister's preschool Easter party. Now let's see what you can do, the end of April is almost here!

Now let's see what you can create for the February Leap Challenge!

For my January Challenge I decided to scrap a New Year's Eve picture, from 1993 to be exact! (See, don't ever worry that you aren't caught up on your scrapbooking, lol!) December Anything Goes Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the December Anything Goes Challenge.  She said:

I absolutely love sketches, I am a sketch junkie. I have books of sketches, blogs I frequent for sketches, and of course magazines with sketches. I find that sketches are such a great starting point for a layout. Sometimes I might keep with the sketch design but other times it may not look like the original at all by the time I'm finished with my layout. For December's challenge I decided to use one of the many sketches I have accumulated, this layout is based on a sketch from Let's Scrap. The photo is of my oldest DD dressed in a bunny costume for one of her ballet recitals. In this layout I also used the recital tickets, but since the color of the tickets didn't blend well with the rest of the layout I made a little memorabilia pocket by using a Jenni Bowlin journaling diecut topped with an MME glitter title. Other products I used were Bazzill--CS, MME--PP, dimensional sticker, misc. ribbon and flower. Now let's see what you come up with. And remember, for December anything goes!!

To participate in the December Anything Goes Challenge - just complete a project and email a picture of your project along with a description to Scrappinpsycho@live.com

All submissions will be posted to The Scrap Our Stash blog and on December 31st a winner will be chosen, and given the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of February. This challenge ends at midnight central time on December 31st.

November Recipe Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the November Recipe Challenge.  She said:

I love love love recipe challenges, and was so excited to do this one. I think the hardest part for me was only using two patterned papers, but I did it! The photos are of my husband and our oldest daughter as she enjoys a yummy ice cream sundae after dinner at Red Robin. Unfortunately she got brain freeze, I just love the faces she's making! My layout recipe included:

5 embellishments: cardstock stickers, chipboard sticker, pearls, flower, and cardstock diecut
4 words in my title: She Has Brain Freeze!
3 photos
2 patterned papers: Echo Park Co.
1 solid paper: Bazzill cardstock

Now let's see what you can do! You have two choices.  Follow this recipe:
5 embelishments (flowers, buttons, etc)
4 words or letters in your title
3 pictures
2 pattern papers
1 solid paper
 or
You can do a layout containing a recipe - maybe one of your family's favorite Thanksgiving dish or a family recipe.

To participate in the November Recipe Challenge - just complete a project using one of the challenges mentioned above and email a picture of your project along with a description to Scrappinpsycho@live.com  All submissions will be posted to The Scrap Our Stash blog and on November 30th a winner will be chosen, and given the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of January. This challenge ends at midnight central time on November 30th

October Quote Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the October Quote Challenge. She said:

As soon as I found out what the October challenge was, I knew exactly what photos and quote I would use. I took these pictures of my son and his grandpa a few years ago when we were visiting his grandparents in St. Louis, MO. Shortly after I took the pictures I found the poem "Walking with Grandpa" by Rodney O. Hura and knew it was perfect for these pictures. Then life got in the way and I forgot to scrap them. That is, until now!

Products used were: Bazzill cardstock, Fancy Pants Father and Son patterned paper and cardstock stickers, American Crafts Thickers, Cosmo Cricket tiny letters, and Allison Davis sketch for inspiration.

Now let's see what you come up with! Now it's your turn to take the October Quote Challenge. See all the details HERE!

September Grid Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the September Grid Challenge.  She said:

I'm not sure why I found this challenge so, well, challenging (lol) but I did. Although I love layouts that are done in a grid format, I have never tired one before so I was a little intimidated. Anyway, a couple of days ago I was looking through my latest edition of Creating Keepsakes magazine and found a wonderful layout done by Kathie Link--the topic was actually on how to cluster embellishments, but her layout was in a grid. I loved it and that is what I have done here, "pagerized" Ms. Link (and had fun using up scraps and embellishments in the process!) The products I used were: Cardstock--Bazzill; Patterned Paper--Echo Park, Cosmo Cricket, and My Mind's Eye; Embellishments--Maya Road, Prima, Cosmo Cricket, Want 2 Scrap, and miscellaneous butterflies and buttons; Letter Stickers--American Crafts Thickers. I had a blast with this challenge and I'm already planning out some more grid layouts!

Now it's your turn to take the September GRID Challenge. See all the details HERE!

August Re-Do Challenge by Tammy

Guest Design Team Member Tammy submitted these layouts for the August Re-Do Challenge.  She said:

Attached is my August Challenge re-do, try not to laugh too hard when you look at my original!

I loved this challenge, especially when I came upon this page in my son's scrapbook from his baby years. I remember when I originally did this page years ago I had planned to put some journaling in that empty space in the upper left corner, but apparently I forgot or something. There is definitely no love lost on this page, so I happily re-scrapped it! I kept the same title and photos on my new one, but it has a newer (and trendier) look to it. The products I used were: cardstock--Bazzill; paper, cardstock stickers, buttons, and chipboard--Fancy Pants; letter stickers--Basic Grey. The photos are of my son on his first trip to the beach, he's 3 months old in the photos but will be celebrating his 8th birthday this month. He likes the new page too! Now let's see what you can do!

Pagerize This Challenge # 12

Pagerizer # 11 Joni chose Tammy as our Pagerizer # 12.  Tammy Said:

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I won! Sorry I'm just getting back with you, we are getting ready to go out of town so things are just crazy here! I've attached a layout I did including memorabilia. My challenge is:  I'm not sure about anyone else, but I am big on saving tickets to different events such as recitals, concerts, NC State basketball games, and rodeos, as well as my tags from races and artwork my children have done. Unfortunately most of the time these items get put in a box and forgotten about. Well I decided I wanted to pull some out and put them on a page. Here are some photos of my husband and two of my kids at a rodeo. The photos aren't the best quality because they were taken with my husband's cell phone, but they're still cute. The memorabilia I used were two of the tickets to the rodeo. So, my challenge to you is to pull out some of that memorabilia you've saved but have stuck in a box and put them on a layout for everyone to enjoy!

Each month on the 15th we will post a new layout for you to "pagerize" (plagerize, copy, lift, steal) whatever term you want to use. The idea will be - to use the posted layout as your inspiration to create your own layout. You can "pagerize" as much or as little of the original layout as you choose. You may want to make a layout just like the one posted - or you may just want to use something about the layout as your inspiration. It's totally up to you. Submit your layout to scrappinpsycho@live.com.
This challenge ends on August 12, 2011 at midnight central time. Then Tammy will choose a winner from the submissions. The winner will become our next Pagerizer.

Once you've completed your layout - email a picture and brief description to scrappinpsycho@live.com. All entries will be posted here at Scrap Our Stash. The challenge runs through midnight central time on August 12th. The "Pagerizer" (in this case Tammy), will then choose a winner from all the entries. The winner will be announced on August 14th. Then the winner will be asked to submit a layout for us to "Pagerize" starting on the 15th of August.

For this challenge I decided to scrap some photos of my sweet son when he was almost 2 years old. We went to a 4th of July celebration and my son is taking a little snack break. Pagerize Joni by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy sumbtted this layout for the Pagerize This #11 Challenge.  She said:  I had a blast with this one!

For my take on Joni's "Pagerize This" I decided to flip her design upside-down. I also chose winter photos to scrap, it's been so hot and humid this summer I guess I needed something cool to look at, LOL! Anyway, these photos are from Raleigh's first snowfall last year, laugh if you must but we did get an inch accumulation! The kids were so excited when the snow started falling they had to bundle up and get outside as quickly as possible. In this layout I used Core'dinations cardstock, Echo Park paper and cardstock stickers, and Kaiser Craft pearls. Thanks Joni for the great inspiration!

June Something Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the June Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue Challenge.  She said:

These are photos of my youngest daughter Catherine, who has these big, beautiful blue eyes. She got them from her daddy, because my eyes are green! Anyway, my "something old" is the blue American Crafts Thickers that have been collecting dust in my stash; my "something new" is the Echo Park patterned paper (or at least it's new to me, I bought the Little Girl collection a few months ago and of course it was still unopened, lol!); and my "something blue" is my daughter's eyes, well that and the thickers and some of the paper! I didn't borrow anything this time, so I hit 3 of the 4 "somethings".

June Something Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the June Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue Challenge. She said:

These are some photos of my family right after my youngest was born, she's 3 1/2 years old now! This was a fun challenge and I tried to use all four "somethings." My something old is not only my patterned paper (Adorn It by Carolee Creations) but I also broke out my Bo Bunny flex ruler, I forgot how much I really like that tool! My something new is my little baby girl, something borrowed is the inspiration from a sketch by Allison Davis (okay, I admit that might be a stretch for something borrowed, LOL), and my something blue is my Bazzill cardstock. Now let's see what you come up with!

May Flower Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the May Flower Challenge.  She said:

In this layout I actually used photos of myself (how often do we scrappers do that??) I am dating myself because they are from my high school graduation! I used Bazzill cardstock, Bo Bunny patterned paper, American Crafts Thickers, and misc. flowers and pearls from my stash. Don't you just love that 1980's hairstyle? I couldn't figure out how to do a Madonna-do with that cap on, which might actually be a good thing!

Design Team Member Tammy submiited this layout for the May Flower Challenge.  She said:

I have a ton of flowers in my stash and love using them, so this challenge was a treat. This is just a candid photo of my oldest daughter last 4th of July waiting for the fireworks to begin, her sneaky older brother is giving her bunny ears in this picture, she has no idea! In this layout I used Bazzill cardstock, patterned paper and cardstock stickers from Adorn It--Carolee Creations, flowers by Kaiser Craft and Making Memories, and a rhinestone flower and pearls from my stash. April Bring in the Sun Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the April Bring in the Sun Challenge.  She said:

These are beach photos of my kiddos from last summer at Wrightsville Beach. Scrapping these really makes me want to drive there now, can't wait for it to warm up just a little bit more (although a cold day at the beach is better than a warm day at home!)

I loved this challenge because it gave me the opportunity to not only scrap these fun beach pics but to dig into my Fancy Pants Rusted Sun paper, love this stuff! I also used some Bazzill cardstock, Little Yellow Bicycle spinner chipboard sticker, and a misc. journaling spot. I used an Alison Davis sketch for inspiration--I don't know about you, but I have tons of sketches piled up, time to start using them!

March Dust it Off Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy submitted this layout for the March Dust it Off Challenge.  She said:

These are some photos of my children after a road trip to Kansas City to visit their cousins. They always have such a great time and play hard, which usually means my husband and I have a nice, quiet drive back to North Carolina, lol! In this layout I used a monthly kit I got in September of 2009! I loved this kit and was so excited to get it, then I used one sheet of paper, a few embellies, and put it away in a drawer, which unfortunately is pretty typical for me. The papers are from the My Minds Eye Abby Road: Round and Round collection, as is the chipboard van embellishment. I also used American Crafts Thickers, a Bo Bunny Chipboard bracket, and some WRMK extra large grommets, for which I dusted off my Crop-a-Dile to use. To stick with the circle design from my grommets I pulled out a circle journaling stamp that I haven't used in a good two years! This was such a fun challenge, and got me to use a few items I just had to have but haven't used in years!

Now let's see what you can dust off and create!! See all the details

February Challenge by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy attached her February LOVE Challenge. She said:
The photo in the LO is of my husband and me right after we got engaged. He took me to Breckenridge, Colorado for a ski trip, I had no idea he was going to pop the question! The photo itself is not the best, but it is the only one I have of my hubby and myself right after he proposed, so it is very dear to me. In my LO I used Fancy Pants Happy Together line, American Crafts flower ribbon and Thickers, and some mini letters. Hope you like it!!

I scrapped a couple of photos of my kids in a big snowstorm (by Raleigh standards anyway) from last year. I used Fancy Pants Frosted line, Bazzill cardstock, Fancy Pants stickers, American Crafts Thickers, and TPC embellishments.
