Art Impressions Challenge #382 Magical Creatures

Okay, I must admit that the current Art Impressions challenge was, well, a little challenging!  I was stumped on "Magical Creatures" until I remember this little garden gnome in the Gotta Garden set 5000.  Perfect!

I stamped the image three times on X-Press It card stock, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  A few random polka dots were added so that the center gnome would stand out.  "Gnome-one like you!"

A stencil from Tim Holtz was used for the circle background.  I finished the clean and simple design with a few enamel dots on the Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock base.

I would like to share my card with the following:

Di's Digi Challenge - Mixed Media

I'm joining the current Mixed Media challenge at Di's Digi Challenge with a colorful birthday card.

My mixed media project started with a stenciled base.  This was my first time playing with stencil butter and it is VERY addicting.  So smooth and easy!  I've used TCW Marigold and Fuchsia Stencil Butter with a Tim Holtz stencil.  While the panel dried, I colored Di's sweet Dilly the Dog image with alcohol inks and die cut.
I love the texture created from the stencil butter!  I finished the card simply with Baker's twine.

My Favorite Things and Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm sharing a fun fall coffee/cocoa card tonight featuring MFT Sweater Weather in the Woods set.  Of course, living in Alaska, I had to create at least one card with the adorable Birdie Brown Moose!

I started with a kraft panel as my base and used the Tim Holtz splatters stencil with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  The moose image was stamped with VersaClaire Pinecone and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  A coordinating sentiment and enamel dots finish the card.

HMFMC # 343 Anything goes + the option of Make it Small.

I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with the option of Make it Small.  For my project I started with an image from the House Mouse Designs Spring Mini Clear set and a tag.

I began the tag base with my gelli plate and acrylic inks.  I then added a couple of layers with various distress inked stenciling.  The image was stamped directly to the tag with VersaClaire ink and colored with Copics.  The bottom border is washi tape from my stash.

I finished the tag with a retired Verve Scripture stamp on white tissue paper.  I trimmed the tissue close to the sentiment and applied it with matte gel.  Fibers from my stash coordinated perfectly for the tassel.
