4 Legs not 2!

Morning all, the latest challenge over at Ooh La La is hosted by me so I'm excited to announce that I've choosen

4 Legs not 2

Then proceeded to make a card with cats on 2 legs...I'm mad!!! (But you all know that!)

So my challenge is looking for animal projects basically cause you all know I love animals...and if that animal happens to be a cat, all the better!

Anyway, back to my card which uses an Ooh La La FREEBIE available here.  Papers are off the Shawn Jenkins CD also by Ooh La La and the lace is from my favourite city, Berlin!  The main image is decoupaged and the card completed with die cut hearts pearls and flowers.

The card was for my husband on our 28th wedding anniversary, which we celebrated earlier in the month.

Golden Wedding Box Card

I'm a bit ahead of myself here, but hopefully by the time this posts I'll be in full swing with Christmas card production.

In the mean time however I want to tell you about the latest challenge over at Moving Along With The Times - chosen by Debs, it's...

A shaped card - no squares or rectangles allowed!

Now this challenge has had me stumped in the past - I'm a square kinda a girl - till I discovered box cards!

Quite a difficult one to photo - but I hope you get the general idea.  The couple are LOTV, the bells PB and the papers Wild Rose Studio.

And if any of you haven't made one of these before, instructions can be found here.

And like last time, the card was too big for an envelope, so I had to make a box too - don't like doing boxes, but Bev's tutorial here does make matters a lot simpler.

Challenges;
Storyteller - Wedding
Crafting at the weekend - Anything goes
Crafty Calendar - Anything goes
A Creative Romance - A touch of kraft
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Fab n Funky - Bingo - Flowers, Pearls & Ribbon on the box

Told Ya!

The other week I was lucky enough to win a couple of digi's from Kerry over at Lady Bug Craft Inc - love the stamps and happened to say to Kerry the owner that I don't use them often enough but I promised to use the ones I won rather than just filing them on a disc - so here is my first LCI card for a while!

The image is Tic-Tac Love and as well as being perfect for Valentines Day - when I think it was launched, I also thought it would work well for Anniversarys.

So here is my CAS easel card.

Coloured with Promarkers with shadows added to the symbols and lots of glossy accents added every where else!  Finally I popped on two little tags using a brad onto the ribbon - for you with love - stamps I won on last monthe Ribbon Girl Challenge so thanks both companies - Ribbon Girl & LOTV for my prize.

Challenges;
LCI - Easel cards
Sketch n Stash - Super sketch 138
Crafty Catz - Black, White & Another - Red
Papertake - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Fancy Folds

Welcome Back

Can you believe it, the 3rd of October already?  I certainly can't - where did the Summer go this year?  We can't even blame the bad weather, we had a really great summer, it's just that somebody pressed fast forward on it!

So last time I did a Moving along with the Times post was back in May, and we were all sad cause it was stopping for a break.  The break is now over and we're back in full swing with a new challenge to tempt you all back... and the theme... Nice and easy...

Anything Goes

And as we are in party mode, both Teams A and B are producing cards, so there's lots to feast your eyes on over on the main blog.

I went with an old Sugar Nellie stamp and some Wild Rose papers to make this anniversary card.

A simple layered card as I have been rather busy of late, but hopefully things are settling down and I'll have a bit more crafty time soon.

OOpsie almost forgot to tell you about the prize!  It's a super prize from Sir Stampalot and they are offering our lucky winner the goodies below!

Now head back to the main blog to see all the lovely creations by my teamies then please join us in this weeks fun. Jx

Challenges:
The Sugar Bowl - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Kaboodle Doodles - Your Special Day
Pink Elephant Monday - Wedding or Anniversary
Fab & Funky - Ribbon

Oldies Play Bingo

Don't know if I'll have caught up on myself by today - should have and we should have finished decorating the new flat.  In case things haven't gone to plan I'm scheduling this!

So it's a new challenge over at An Oldie But A Goodie, and Francesca has given us a Bingo grid to play with. (It's on the main blog and at the end of my post.)  Just select any line and tell us which you used.

Bingo
(Please also remember to use an item older that 6 months on your project and to tell us what it is.)

So for my card this time around I made an anniversary card using an old Penny Black stamp which I love.  I then made die cut flowers, punched leaves and a doily border and finally added pearls to my flower centres.

Sponsoring us this time is the fabulous Robyn's Fetish who are very kindly offering our winner some digi's of their choice.

Now as this was a bulky card & I didn't want to squash it,  so I followed Bev's Tutorial here, on how to make a card box.  Thanks Bev, it was quick and easy to do with your great instructions.

Challenges;
Come and Get It - Fall colour challenge - golden brown
Polkadoodles - More than 1 fold - Easel
Crafty Little Fairies - Autumn colours - Gold
Crafters Cafe - Die cuts & punches - die cut flowers, doily punched borders.
Creative Belli - Ribbons & pearls (CBC179)
I Love Promarkers - make your own flowers - with dies?
Penny's Paper Crafty - Easel card
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

2nd Oct
Delighted to see my card as a random winner at Penny's Challenges and even more delighted to receive a $6 spend in Little Miss Muffet stamps as my prize.

Happy Ever After

Well I got the grass cut yesterday - the first cut this year.  Got about half way through - then the hail came on!  But as they say in Mastermind, I've started so I'll finish, so finish was what I did.  I have to say the end result, better than it was, but probably not it's best cut!  Anyway, job done and now time for cards!

Today's card sees me back using LOTV stamps - I love them, but of late, they have been sadly neglected, but now that they have resurfaced, expect more in the coming weeks!

My card is a simple anniversary one, with lots of white embossing, quite simple really, but I'm really pleased with the end result.

Challenges;
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Another lovely sketch shown below No 203
Lili's Little Fairies - Photo inspiration - I went down the wedding route with the pink flowers
Stamping Sensations - Special Occasions, other than birthday
Sweet Stampin - Anything But Birthday
Fab & Funky - Love

First Anniversary

This is the first time I've used this LOTV stamp which was released over a year ago, but I've only just added it to my collection.

It's a lovely image to colour & was perfect for an Anniversary card I was asked to make.

My simple card uses embossed panels and a tartan ribbon and the sentiment is backed on an MS doily punched strip.

Challenges;
Sketch Saturday - Jen's sketch

A quick post tonight of a card I made yesterday.  It was to late to photo it last night, so I took a pic in day light today.

Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!

I loved that song from a few years back - will have to go on You U-Tube & have a listen for it! It always reminds me of a little girl called Ruby who I used to look after in creche. She however is now at school & this story has little to do with my card!

The ruby tie on this occasion is for a Ruby Wedding celebration for my next-door neighbours, who are currently off to Hong Kong, Thailand, & Phuket to celebrate their 40 years of marriage along with their 60th Birthdays this year - quite a holiday & quite a lot of celebrations!

My card uses a lovely PB stamp called Daisy Chime, the card is Bazzill Basic and has a polka dot through it although that probably doesn't show in the photo. I would have liked more papers, but couldn't get anything wedding/ruby to tie in, so instead I went for a CAS design with lovely flowers to decorate. (Cut using my Die-namics Prima die)

Challenges;
The Stampman - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Case It - I followed the layout.
CCEE Stampers - Red
Crafty Ribbons - Spots & dots - honest the red card is polka dot!
Cute Card Thursday - Clean & Simple
DYSU - Polka Dots - On the red - see?
Diva's By Design - Flowers
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes

Hopefully I'm still on time with this card for the Passion For Promarkers Challenge, which was 2's this week to celebrate their 2nd birthday.

I followed the layout on the Sketchy Thursday Sketch Challenge (Eat Sleep Stamp 132) for this one so I'll be entering that too.

When I'm With You!

Tongue Tied

This Sat will be my 23rd Wedding Anniversary, so I've made this card for my other half - hopefully not to fussy & fancy!

The image is another great Penny Black called Tongue Tied - from my friend & fellow blogger Sam/Whisper. The hearts are from Spellbinder dies & the card is finished off with some candi.

Obviously this card was made with you in mind Craig, but it just so happens to meet the following challenges too;

Cards For Men - Someone Special - That's you Craig - still special after 23 years.
Crafty Creations - Anniversary
Then I'm not sure about this one so feel free to tell me it's not got all the elements, but the layout was based on this weeks Sketch & Stash Challenge. Here, the image has been badly neglected - it was one sent to me ages ago by Sam & I've never got round to using it. Newest - those dies - bought this year for Valentines Day.
Woodware USA - Wedding/Anniversary - My 23rd Anniversary card for my husband.
Papertake Weekly - Fancy a Punch or die - I used my Spellbinder hearts. Jx

Happy Anniversary

This Tilda Anniversary card was made using the Papertake Challenge layout and includes homemade flowers so I'm also entering it into the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge which was flowers this week. Thanks Leanne for posting that great tutorial - I'll give it a go, but I didn't have time this week - I was still working on the Wordart Book from the last tutorial!

Finally, I'll also enter this card into the Crafty Catz Challenge which is also flowers this week. Jx
