Christmas Card No 6 - Christmas Pudding

This is a really old stamp, one of the first ones I bought off Ebay in my early crafting days.  I think it's Anita's and today I've coloured it with Promarkers and combined it with LOTV papers.

This is my 6th Christmas card so far, not a huge start, but as they say at Tesco - Every Little Helps!

Challenges;
CCWS - Sketch + Staples - (Mine are on the edges of the black snowflake strip. Jx

Tangled Rudolph

This is the stamp I bought last October when we were in New York & I visited The Ink Pad, I din't use him much last year, but I'm lovin using him this!

I just think it's the sweetest stamp, & I love the way it colours. It also goes perfectly with my Dovecraft Happy Jolly Christmas Papers. My card is coloured with Promarkers then the baubles & nose given a layer of glaze to make them stand out. Finally the card is finished with buttons & brads, not forgetting the distress inking of all paper edges.

Challenges;

Finally, I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to Christmas Challenges With Sketches for picking me as their winner last time, & an even BIGGER thank you to the sponsors Heindesign. What fantastic stamps they have - & I got to pick two. I'm absolutely delighted with them & would have loved to use my new stamp this challenge only it wouldn't have fitted the colour theme, maybe next time it will. Jx

Christmas Ornament goes White

This card uses one of my favourite Christmas stamps from a few years back, I've used it so much, I just hope I've not sent it to the same people more than once!

It was however the perfect shape for the sketch on CCWS so I dug it out & got colouring with my Promarkers.

As always, WoW cards are difficult to photograph, so I photoed this outside in the sunshine without the flash - but don't be fooled, it's back to freezing outside again!

Challenges;
CCWS - What a lovely sketch with the added twist of a WoW theme
ABS Christmas - "F" for flurry/feathered already!
Crafty Ann's - Christmas in March
Made Espesially for You - Use distress inks - all those edges were given a lick of Tim Holtz Stormy Sky
My Mum's Craft Shop - Stamp it
CHCC - Get Sentimantal
Di's Digi Designs - Embossing
Cupcake Crafts - The Sound of Music - White Christmas

& that's it for a few days as I'm off to Inverness tomorrow. Jx

22.8 deg C @ Fyvie Castle!

Well a record was set here in Aberdeenshire today, the temperature reached a cracking 22.8 degrees at Fyvie Castle, just down the road from us, & I honestly think our garden wasn't far off from that temp too!

So no guesses where I was today hence the distinct lack of cards - well not quite, I had coloured & cut ont this very seasonal offering yesterday, so tonight at Dancing on Ice I stuck it together.

So, this card uses another fabulous Bugaboo digi image, it's coloured with Promarkers, I've added Stickles, embossed bits & used my Marianne Star Ring Die.

Challenges;
CCWS - Another lovely sketch to follow.
Winter Wonderland - An Inspirational wreath picture, so I went with the colours & a door, cause that's normally where you hang them1
CHCC - Home For Christmas - Well that's my Festive Front Door , Jx

Christmas Cupcake

It's a while since I've made a Christmas card, so I thought I'd better get one made so that I'm still on schedule for 1 Xmas card/week.

This card came together surprisingly quickly. After staring at the CCWS sketch for well over a week, I hit on an idea tonight & here is the result.

I absoultely love this Christmas Cupcake stamp by Bugaboo. I'm normally a traditional kinds fan, but there's something about this glitzy beauty that I love!

Papers are that old Dovecraft pack that I'm getting through but still lovin! Sentiment LOTV & glitx from Stickles.

Challenges;
CCWS - A lovely sketch + Baby it's cold outside - so come in for coffee & a cupcake!!!
ABC Xmas - E for evergreen - my holly & green papers
CHCC - Red - A little or a lot! I went for little on the holly
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations - Green & White

Finally congrats to Alan - he passed his driving theory test today, YIPEE! Jx

Angel Eyes

This is the second time I've used this Bugaboo digi for a Christmas card. Again colouring by Promarkers and papers by Craft Companion. This time though, I've raised the angel and made her stand out from the rest of the card. I've also used the CCWS sketch.

Challenges;
CHCC - Angels or fairies
CCWS - Brilliant sketch Jx

PS - Tommy is now licked clean! (See previous post for the before!)

Teddy Bear Christmas

Whilst at Dancing on Ice, (again), this week, I stuck together a couple of cards I'd cut out and coloured earlier on today. The first is this Christmas one, using a lovely LOTV image given to me by my crafty buddy, Ann. It's a lovely stamp and one I'd be tempted to buy were it not for my UIU pledge - that's "Use It Up!" And it is hard, cause you see so many others using things you don't have, but so far this year I've been good.

Colouring - Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft & Kraft

Challenges;
CHCC - Die Cuts - both circles
ABC Xmas - B for Bears & buttons
CCWS - Another great sketch Jx

New York Rudolph

Now not many people know this, but Rudolph comes from New York! Well this one did, all the way from a lovely little shop in Greenwich Village when we were over there last October.

I didn't use him that much last year, but I intend to put him through his paces this!

This time, I've combined him with Dovecraft papers and glazed a few bits to come up with this;

Challenges:

Christmas Challenges with Sketches - Just love this challenge & this great sketch!
Weekly Christmas Card Challenge - Favourite technique - Colouring with Promarkers, amongst many other favourites! (I had actually made this one for last weeks colouring challenge, but missed the close!)
CHCC No 57 - Make it square Jx

Frosty The Snowman

There are so many snowmen stamps out there, and one of my current favourites has to be this digi one from Bugaboo. I did start off making this card using snowflake papers, but in the end, I went for the white look & inky edges.

I'm entering this one into the great, Christmas Challenges with sketches - a challenge I found late last year, but its one that I already love, as well as the Papertake Challenge which is Die "cute" special and A Passion For Promarkers - Inspired by a song..."Frosty The Snowman". Jx

LOTV Angel Trumpeter

I can't believe I'm making another Christmas card already, but in my defence, I was tidying up my craft table & this one was already stamped & coloured. There were also lots of golden paper off cuts just waiting to be sized & stuck on a card, so this is really me tidying my desk - not making a card!

This one is for the CCWS challenge, which I only stumbled upon this month. I liked the sketch I did then & I loved the sketch this time around so I thought I'd give it a go.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas - we did at my sisters house with all her family. Lots of fun was had by all & I've now given my nieces there very own stamping stuff (haven't I girls!) so in a few weeks I may be displaying some of their lovely works too! Jx
