Clean and Simple Love

Hey there! Here today with a quick card using Heart to Heart by Reverse Confetti!

I recently took the Online Cards Class - Clean and Simple 4 and used a masking technique to create this card.

To create the inked background, I used a long piece of Post It tape and sponged on the edge of the tape blending the color out, and then moved the tape over and applied more ink. The yellow ink is Wild Honey Distress Ink. The hearts were cut out with the Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts and then stamped with the coordinating stamps from Heart to Heart. The gold glitter "you" is from the Tag Me Too Confetti Cuts. To finish the card off, I added some gold sequins and some black ink drops.

That's all I have for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Adjusted Sails

Amber actually made a one layer card? STOP THE PRESSES! It CAN be done!
I don't know if you know or not, but I love layers, and more layers...but today I challenged myself to create a ONE layer card and I actually kind of love it:)

I can't believe how hard it is to make CAS cards..you think it's gotta be easy, there's barely anything there! Well I tip my hat to the CAS ladies because this took me like an hour, lol! It's much harder than it looks, for sure!

I'm kind of in a nautical mood today, even though I live in the desert and the only water I see is in my bathtub, ha! We just had a new Verve release and there were a couple nautical themed sets so I pulled them out. The sentiment is the Adjusted Sails plain jane and the circle and anchors are from Strong Anchor. I just stamped the sentiment first and then kind of added the other elements where it felt right.

I added a little button and some twine to the anchor and then some tabs from the Flag It die set in the upper left corner to kind of balance it out.

I think I found my Christmas card design!

Wow, CAS is where it's at, lemme tell ya! You know me and all my layers and "schtuff" but I really am tired today and had to make a few other cards for assignments tonite so when it came time for my Monday Challenge Chicks card, I didn't have any wind left in my sails! So I decided to go CAS and I love it!
This card took me maybe 3 minutes and 37 seconds. Seriously, SO FAST! The tree/ornaments stamps are from Tree Trimming Trio and the sentiment is Dawn McVey's gorgeous handwriting, from Signature Christmas, both sets by PTI.
I have always wanted a pink tree, like Heidi Swapp used to do, lol! BRIGHT HOT PINK with lots of glittery ornaments! I say I always wanted one, but when it comes down to it, A)my husband would NEVER allow it, and B)I would chicken out and stick with my old faithful GREEN tree because I really do love it, lol!
It's nice to dream:)

Check out what the rest of the chicks came up with for Christmas Cards!
Maybe they'll get your juices flowing and you'll make all your Christmas cards on time this year? BAWHWAHAHAHAHA! I know, I laughed too just typing that, we card makers are the WORST at sending cards out on time, huh?:)

Have a fantastic Monday! See ya tomorrow with UNITY!

A Monday Challenge

Yes, there is no hiding from it, it's MONDAY! Well, my Monday is pretty much over *whew!*
Today, the other Monday chicks and myself are making cards with Cut Out Flowers! That means we could stamp flowers and cut them out, make hand made flowers, whateva! I chose to take the easy way out and let Unity do the word for me:D I love this little flower in the "you + me = happy" kit! It was super fun to cut these babies out:) In case you're wondering why this doesn't have my usual 19 layers, it's because I also used the CAS #08 challenge from Splitcoast. It was a card sketch to follow so I couldn't go too crazy;) This card is still CAS for me as it only took about 15 minutes to make frm the time I flipped the light switch on in my room to the time I took the picture:) I do love quickie cards!
Shoot it's bright though, huh? I'm not 100% sold on Tangerine Tango, but it's going bye bye here in a few months and I have a bunch to use up, lol! I added Crystal Ice Stickles on the flower centers and they're super sparkly! And of course my beloved butterfly punch, made by the great Martha Stewart *snicker* I don't really think she's great but she makes fab punches!
For more yummy cut out flower creations, check out my girls!
Okay, next card is for the Unity Sketch Challenge I posted today in the forums! Click --->HERE<--- to see the sketch and play along in the challenge!
Here's my card--
AWWW! Don't you love those sheep? I bet you can tell by now that I do, lol! The "Love Ewe" kit is so fun and adorable! I think I may send this to my mom just for fun:)
Hopefully your Monday's go smoothly, quickly, and it's not too cold for you! Have a fantastic week friends, see you tomorrow!

Moxie Monday!

Good Monday morning! I have a couple Unity projects to share with you today! First off, it's Moxie Monday! Do you know what that is? Well it's a blog that was started by Cath of Papercrafts! She shares trendy products and inspiration from the scrapbook industry and her blog and has chosen to showcase Unity today! Head on over to her blog, Moxie Fab World, to see what it's all about. She's also giving away a couple pretty large blog candies! Go for it!
In honor of "Moxie Monday" I made this card:
It uses the kit called "Shine On"! I love this kit, the lamps are so fun and has a few really cute sentiments!
The rest of the Monday Challenge Chics are showcasing Unity today as well in honor of Moxie Monday:) Check them out!
Also, welcome to Jimmi Mayo! She's joining our crazy lil Monday Challenge club, go see what she's got for ya today:)
Okay, today being Monday is also Unity Sketch Day! w00t! Here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
I used the big cupcake from Ginormous Cupcakes and the sentiment from the old Hey Cupcake kit (which has now been switched and moved into another kit called Mix Up of Cuteness and I notice that the sentiment is no longer available! Sorry:(
See THIS thread on SCS to play along with us!
Okay, a couple last cards I made for this week CAS challenge! The challenge this week is a sketch and we all know I love those:) I made two cards for the challenge because I wasn't sure if this first one was CAS enough, lol!
And here's my second one:

Okay ya'll, I have had quite an exhausting day and am ready to go to bed! I hope ya'll have a fantastic UNIFIED day and get some time to create:)

FAVORITE holiday!

Well, my FAVORITE holiday is Christmas, but I'm still stuck in a Valentine's Day card making mood so I'm gonna go with V-day:) Today, the Monday Challenge Chicks are creating cards based on our favorite holidays! Here's my card:

I decided to pull out my old faithful set "Always" by SU! for this card, that bird is one of my favorites! I used alot of odd's n' ends on this card but had tons of fun doing it!
Check out the rest of the girls' cards for some more inspiration:

Okay, the other card I made today is for today's CAS challenge on SCS! I would link the challenge thread here but as I type, SCS is not co-operating with me, I hope it's not just me but I havent' been able to get in for a couple hours! HORRORS! OMG I am so dependent on that site it's rediculous, lol! I GOTTA HAVE MY FIX!
Anyhoo, the CAS challenge for this week is to use ONE button! CHECK! Not a problem for this chick because I love me some buttons! The challenge was in only using ONE, lol! Well here's my card:

The card base is a piece of Chocolate Chip. I stamped the tree and sentiment from Thoughts and Prayers (SU!) on a piece of Whisper White and then mounted it on a piece of Kiwi Kiss that I also trimmed using my scalloped edge punch! The ribbon was tied on with one lonely button (lol!) and then I added a row of brads as well. I finished the card off by stamping the scallops (from All Scallops by SU!) on top in Whisper White. I am not much of a CAS stamper as you well know, but I had alot of fun with this card and I'm going to be participating in these CAS challenges alot, I just know it:)

Christy and I (and her hubs and a couple other peeps) went to see The Tales of Despereaux today. It was just okay for me, kinda cute, the mouse was *adorable* but the story was just kinda blah. I'm glad I went though, it was still fun:) Billy and I are sittin here with a glass of wine watching Cars, LOL! I love this movie, 'Mater is my favorite, I love him:D
Have a fantastic President's Day, later taterz!
