RCC78-Spring is in the Air

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new challenge from the RCC design team! This month, our challenge is Spring is in the Air! I don't know about you guys, but spring is pretty much here in Arizona! We have some lovely 78 degree weather to look forward to today, so I am FEELIN' this challenge!

What's more springy than a bunch of flowers? I used a whole bunch of Verve on this card. The flowers are from Surely Goodness (and the matching Goodness Flowers die set), the butterfly from So Fluttery (and the matching Flutterby die), the leaves from Dream Big (and matching Dreamy Leaves die set), and the Classy Label die (which I stamped the "Thanks a Bunch" on). The Hola Chica is from Chicks Rule and is stamped on a banner from the Flag it Die Set.

Now go on to THE BLOG and see what the rest of my team mates have come up with for you today, thanks for stopping by!

RCC76-Winter Spirit

Hello! We have a brand new Ribbon Carousel challenge for you this month and I hope you can play along with us!

This month, we're being inspired by WINTER! I don't know about you, but as soon as Christmas blew by us, I've had Valentine's day on the brain. Well I don't want to wish the cool temps away too fast so I'm glad to get back into the winter stamping:)

If you play along with us this month, you could win a Ribbon Carousel!

Here's my wintery project:)

The stamp is from MFT's 6th Bday Celebration. The snowflake die and Fishtail Banner die are also from MFT. You can't really tell in the picture, but I added some Martha Stewarts tinsel glitter on the snowflake, it's super sparkly! I added some twine to the buttons and wrapped this gorgeous silver cord around the card and tied a bow!

Well that's it from me today, I hope you can play along with us:) I'm sure you've got all your winter stamps/papers still sitting on your desk, don't you?:) Find all the challenge deets HERE! You'll also find a list of all the design team members who have created samples to share with you to get your mojo flowing:)

Thanks for stopping by today!

RCC 73--Halloween Spirit!

Hello! Has it been forever since I blogged or what? I hate when mojo thinks it deserves a vacation. It SO does not. GRR! I went shopping with the fabulous Kim Hughes who I'm so lucky to call my friend, and we hit up a nice big scrapbook store this weekend and we LOADED up on goodies! So naturally, when you spend some cash, mojo comes home, lol!!

The Ribbon Carousel is all new now, a whole new format, so you'll want to check out the RC Blog for details! We have a new team! Some of the oldies are still around and we have some fresh faces as well! We're all so very excited for this fresh new start!

Our first challenge is Halloween Spirit! That's it! Create a card, 3D project, scrapbook page, whatever! Just so it has RIBBON or TWINE on it, all is fair game!

I have to admit, I'm not big on Halloween papercraft projects. As I found out while doing this card, I have MAYBE two stamp sets out of the hundreds I have, that could be categorized as hallowed  lol! Friendship Jar: Fall Fillers by PTI is one of the two. And I only bought it because I love the Friendship Jar sets and had to have them all, haha. Lucky for me I guess, I was able to use it for this challenge.
I used last week's Deconstructed Sketch challenge for the layout, and since it's a spooky Halloween card, I tilted all the panels. Cause that *screams* Halloween, right?

I used some fabulous V-striped Twill ribbon and Champagne Net ribbon, both found in the store!

Now don't forget to hop over to the RC Blog to read challenge details and meet all the new girls and see what our team has to share with you today!
Thanks for stopping by!

RCC70-Sympathy

Good morning! I'm back today with another card for Ribbon Carousel. Andrea is the hostess this week and has a theme of Sympathy cards. I really dislike making sympathy cards because I feel kinda like I'm preparing for something I don't want to prepare for. SO, instead of straight up "Sympathy", I opted for a "Lean on Me" kind of card instead:)

The sentiment is from Lean on Me and the lined border stamp from Borderline from Verve.
The ribbon I used is the Ivory Cotton 5/8" Twill and this ribbon is awesome! So buttery soft and easy to tie bows, love this stuff! I also used it for the ribbon tabs under the sentiment.

Now head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog for challenge details, the linky to add your project to, and to see the rest of my crewmates' cards!! Thanks for stopping by today:)

RCC69-Beautiful Bows!

Hi there! This week's Ribbon Carousel challenge is one RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! Beautiful bows! I think there are maybe four cards on my blog that might have no ribbon or bows on them, haha! I just really love bows and I'm unashamed:)

I used the 3/4" Teal Horizontal Stripe Satin ribbon! This is some seriously luscious stuff! You can also see that gorgeous Champagne Net Ribbon under the teal ribbon! That is some fun ribbon, lots of layering possibilities!

I added a button with some jute twine as well, also tied in a bow! I love double bows, heehee!
The stamps are new from Verve! I used the frame stamp and sentiment from Borderline.

Well, make sure to head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog to see more luscious bows! I can't wait to see what the other girls came up with:) Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

I have some fun news to share!!

I have been invited to join Corinna's team over at the Ribbon Carousel!!! I've been BUSTING at the seams to share my news:) They have the BEST selection of ribbon and other fun goodies, not to mention the RIBBON CAROUSEL! I can't wait to buy one (or 5...) and get my ribbon organized! I should take a picture of my current system so you can laugh along with me. My system is: Throw it in a basket. Yep, that's it! The real pain is trying to get ribbon back OUT of the basket, it comes out in one knotty ball! LOL! So yeah, I'm looking forward to getting a carousel;)

Okay, well I get to play along in this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge! Every Tuesday a new challenge is posted, so check the RC blog often for new inspiration!
This week, we're being inspired by SUMMER!!

I inked up one of my favorite PI's for this card, this is Pucker Up! Isn't she cute? Who among us didn't have a lemonade stand in the summers when we were kids? I know I did! Well, I called it lemonade but I'm pretty sure it was mostly sugar, lol!!! I colored her up with my Copics and then cut her out to mount the pieces on the white rectangle.
How about that pink ribbon? That's May Arts 3/4" Pink V Striped ribbon! It ties bows like a dream and comes in alot of fun colors:) I used red bakers twine for the button.

Well that's it from me today, now go see what the rest of the team did with this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have an amazing week:)

DS50-Ribbon Carousel!

The Deconstructed Sketch DT

Hello! I have been extremely quiet this week, I know! Battling a cold/strep throat right now and that kinda throws the mojo off, haha! Well, I couldn't possibly miss this week's Deconstructed Sketch, check this one out!

We also have a sponsor this week, the Ribbon Carousel! Check out their sit to learn more about this awesome company:)

They sent us some ribbon to play with from their May Ribbon Kit and I had a ton of fun playing with all the gorgeous ribbons! Here's my card...

I knew I wanted to layer all my ribbons up using the four panel images in the sketch. It's a bit of a stretch on the sketch (ooooo, tongue twister!) but I totally love it:) I cut the ends of the ribbons into fishtails and then just kind of found a place where they fit:) The net ribbon on the far right wasn't fishtailed though, I just love that ribbon! The hand stitching was done with some brown twine from the kit. The stamp is from American Hero by Verve.

I'm really getting into the spirit of the 4th, everytime I go into Hobby Lobby or Michaels and see all the Americana decor, my heart starts to swell...I love this holiday:) Anyhoo, make sure to check out what my lovely teammates have done with this sketch and the ribbon! I can't wait to hop over and see what they've been up to!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
