New Baby Scrapbook Page.

I have been wanting to scrap these photo's for a while and I finally got to today. Yay! With the help of the sketch from Just Add Ink Scrapbooking  Challenge #22 and using the theme from Sunny Challenges & Creations SC 89/13 which is "Baby" my page came together quickly.
Using DSP Venetian Romance with the colours Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango, now there's a colour I haven't used for a long time.
Flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set punched with the coordinating punch. Love the jumbo pearls. Did you notice the doilies!
Greetings from Chalk Talk set, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Christmas Card Chalk Board Technique.

Two Challenges on one card, I don't do this very often but this week I wan't to join in the Challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations 88/13 which is to use Washi Tape and as I'm just starting to learn ways to use it I didn't know where to begin. So I started with a sketch from Seize the Sketch #4.
The Washi Tape is the red spotty scallop band across the bottom of the card. I just placed the Washi Tape on strip of white card and cut it out with the scallop Edgelite die. Iv'e used the Joy to the World stamp set and the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set. I'm so glad Stampin' Up! decided to keep this set, it's not in the Holiday Catalogue but it has been carried over from the last Catalogue so it's still available. Yay!
I stamped the ornament with the Gold Metallic Encore ink, really like how it looks.
Here's the sketch I used from Seize the Sketch I  changed it a bit in making my card horizontal. To play along with this sketch click here. To join in the fun at Sunny Challenges & Creations click here. I can't wait to see what everyone else does with the Washi Tape.

Did you notice I used the Chalk board technique for this card? Just in case you didn't know I love this technique!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #44

Oops, I just realized I have used the wrong pink for Makeesha colour challenge. The colours are supposed to be Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink. I have used Regal Rose instead of Pretty in Pink. Hope this will be ok.

I have heat embossed the Woodgrain background stamp with white embossing powder and clear embossed the beautiful butterfly's. I really like how this turned out. The Marina Mist panel is dry embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. Then a white scallop edge, a bit of piercing , some ribbon and of course rhinestones. I've been using the new rhinestone Jewels on everything lately.

Thanks for a great colour challenge Makeesha, even if I did get it a little bit wrong.

Iv'e added a tiny bit of Champagne Shimmer paint, new in the Stampin' Up! catalogue, to the lower panel and 3 pearls. Hard to see in the photo's. This shimmer paint is so cool!

55 Chev.

Hi, this is a card I made for my brother for his birthday. He loves old cars and has spent many years building his pink 55 Chev. The base of the car is made with the Top Note die and clear embossed, adding a bit of dazzling diamonds while still hot. To give it a metallic look, just like my brothers car.
Challenge #26 this week at Just Add Ink is Just Add Embossing, so this card fits in well for the challenge.

The photo's not great but you can kind of get the idea.

This card was inspired by a swap I received at Convention by Kaylene Schultz. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a blog or web site for her.
