Thank You Card.

Morning friends, this is the Thank You card that was sent to all the lovely people who placed orders with me recently. I really appreciate all your support and friendship.

The colours are Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana. I really like the In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack, there are 40 sheets of double sided 12 x 12 paper in the stack, should keep me going for a while. Stamp set is Chalk Talk with the Chevron Embossing Folder for the background. Other products are white embossing powder, Chalk Talk frame lits, circle punch, Ruffle Stretch Trim and Rhinestones. And I can't forget the bit of spritzing on the base.

Sunny Challengers 056/12

This week I am very excited to again be a guest designer for Sunny Challengers & Creations. This weeks challenge is a great sketch by Gwen with an extra challenge of making a 10cm x 10cm card. I can say that this was quite a challenge for me working on a card small. But I think it turned out pretty good.

The colours are Soft Suede, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla. The stamps sets used are Delicate Doilies, Rue Des Fleurs (thanks) and the DSP is Attic Boutique.

So head over to Sunny Challengers to check out the other designers amazing creations and to join in the fun.

Have have great day.

Thanks.

Here is a Thank you card I made for my friend Marcelle. Using the Friends never Fade stamp set with the Top Note die and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The colours are Sahara Sand, Kiwi Kiss (retired) and Baja Breeze. The main focal point has been covered with Crystal Effects for a really cool glossy look.

Have a great day.

Thank you card.

Good morning, this is one of the thank you cards I made for my Stamp Club girls this month. They were all much the same but using different DSP from the sampler pack. I have inked the lovely flower from Friends Never Fade stamp set with Stampin' Write markers then stamped onto white card. The greeting is stamped with StazOn black ink. I then covered the whole circle with Crystal Effects for a stunning glossy finish. The flower image kind of smudges leaving a watercolour effect. Very cool! The larger circle was cut with the Big Shot, Circles #2 die.

The colours are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.

Have a great day.

Thanks Shannon.

Exciting news, Julie is back online with her updated blog Stampin Up Jewls, it looks amazing. So head on over there to see what she has been up to, it's worth the visit.

My card today is a case from Shannon West (Stampin' Up! US head office). At convention Shannon showed us lots of great ways to use the Circle Scissor Plus and this was my favorite. I have only changed it a tiny bit.

The Circle Scissor Plus is a little tricky getting use to but once you have a play with it you will love it.

Tips for using Circle Scissor Plus:
1. I use Dotto repositionable adhesive to sick the card on the glass plate, that way the card won't slip around while cutting.
2. Don't press too hard while cutting. I find I get a better, smother cut if I use even pressure, not too hard.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Vintage Vogue, Tiny Tags
Card: Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, So saffron
Tools: Circle Scissor Plus, Big Shot- Scallop Circle die, mat pack & tool
Accessories: brad, Dotto, snail, dimensionals

Never Ending Card.

Hi, here we are at the beginning of another week. Each week seems to go faster than the last.
Today I have the card Tereesa showed us how to make at the last Paper 4 Passion group meeting. I'm not sure what this card is called so I call it the Never Ending Card because you can keep folding it forever. This is really cool, my kids love it and had to make one of their own. And it is quite easy to make, once you know how.
We used the A Rose is a Rose stamp set with Organic Grace and Sweet Little Sentiments (both level 1 hostess sets). We inked the edgers and added dazzling diamonds. I gave this one to my Mum for her birthday, she loved it.

Thank you Teressa for showing us how to make this card, it was lots of fun.

String Spinner Card.

I've had lots of fun lately making string spinner cards. This one is using the Tart & Tangy Stamp set with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Choc Chip card stock. The punches used are scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle and 1 1/4' circle. And just for some extra fun the tangerine spinner part is embossed with a mix of clear embossing powder and orange tang. So it's now a Scratch & Sniff String Spinner Card.

Party Fun.

What a fantastic weekend I've had. Rebecca's Disco Party was a great success, we had 17 disco diva's and 2 Elvis's dancing and singing, everyone had a great time. Sunday we helped my friend make wedding invitations of her daughter. That was a really fun and the bride was really happy with them. Sorry I can't show you a pic of them, top secret!

So today I have the party bags we gave out to all the diva's at Rebecca's party to show you. We gave them the plastic goblet at the start and put the lollies in just before they went home. Can you see how the stem lights up. They look really good in the disco room. My wonderful sister found these at a cheepy shop and they were perfect. I made tags so the girls knew which goblet was theirs.
Now that's one party down, one to go. Jamie's having a Dino Disco Party in a couple of weeks. I better get that organized quick.

Mel's Challenge #15

Mel's challenge this time is to make a card using the faux stitching technique. I've used it as a border around the main image. And isn't this kangaroo cute, I know I'm going to be using this new set Build a Roo a lot. To save a bit of time I stamped Kanga in choc chip ink straight onto creamy caramel card. Now I don't need to colour her.
Recipe
Stamp Set: Build a Roo
Ink: choc chip, riding hood red, kiwi kiss
Stampin Write Marker: choc chip
Card: kiwi kiss, riding hood red, creamy caramel, choc chip
Punches: photo corners
Accessories: blender pen, stamp a ma jig, piercing mat & tool, choc chip grosgrain ribbon
It was the last day of school holidays today so we went to the movies to see Race to Witch Mountain. I really enjoyed it and so did all my kids. Sometimes it's hard to find a movie that a 14 year old, 11 year old and a 7 year old all like. This one was a winner.
Happy Stampin'

DSP: Hand Drawn

Busy weekend & Thanks you cards.

What a busy weekend I had, it started on Friday night with Alex's first football game. It's his first time at playing club football so it was very exciting. The coach kept him on the field most of the game trying him in a couple of different positions. He played well and had lots of fun and best of all, for me, no injuries. Saturday night we went to a friends 40th. It was a fantastic night with a live band and lots of dancing. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone. So then of course on Sunday I slept all day.... ;) Then Sunday night off to my sister's for dinner. She's the best.

Now don't forget the Bushfire Appeal is on until the 31 March. Where 50% of the sales of selected stamp sets go to the Australian Red Cross Victorian 2009 Bushfire Appeal. Click here to see the stamp sets.

Only a few weeks left for the Summer Mini Catalogue, ends 31st March.

Now for a card/s. These are 8x8cm mini cards using the retired level 2 hostess set Spring Solitude. The DSP is Afternoon Tea, only $11.95 from the Summer Mini Catalogue. So Cute.

Have a great Monday.

Nerine's Tuesday Layout Challenge.

I quite like how this card for Nerine's challenge turned out. I rolled the So Swirly wheel across the soft sky card in VersaMark, then with my scoring blade dry embossed around the card. I've also used the Live Your Dream stamp set and Afternoon Tea DSP both in the Summer mini catalogue.

Ink:VersaMark, Choc Chip, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi
Card: Choc Chip, Soft Sky, Whisper White

Have a great day.

Seeing Spots

While I was surfing last night I came across a card on Debbie's blog, Hubbys Headache, ( I love the name of her blog) and I had to make it. Debbie's card is a pop up card that I didn't have the patience to try yet, maybe on the holidays I'll give it a go. But I kept the card front and the colours the same. I love the colour combination she used, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive and Very Vanilla. I've used a different stamp set, Seeing Spots. It was quite quick to make. I think making the pop up card will take a bit longer.

Recipe
Stamp Set : Seeing Spots
Card : Old Olive, Choc Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Choc Chip
Accessories: crop a dile, jumbo eyelet pewter, crafters tool kit, grosgrain ribbon 5/8" choc chip
Punches : scallop circle, 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circle

Thanks for the inspiration Debbie.

I'm off to sports day at school today, I hope it warms up a bit.
Have a great day.

Thank you.

A very BIG thank you to everyone who attended the BIGGEST morning tea today. And thank you to the lovely girls who organised it all. It was a great success, $600.00 was raised for The Cancer Council. Well done! It was great to meet some new people and catch up with others. It was a lot of fun.
These are a couple of the thank you cards that I made to give to everyone when they arrived. I though the Priceless Stamp Set was very fitting for this event. Inside the card was stamped the words "heartfelt thanks" from the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set.

Recipe

Stamp Set : Priceless
Ink : Pretty in Pink, Rose Red
Card : Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Whisper White
Punches : scallop circle, 3.5cm circle, slit
Accessories : DSP Rose Red, silver brads, grosgrain ribbon Pretty in Pink, Stamp-a-ma-jig, dimensionals, snail adhesive

Again, Thank You
